“What?!” Shen Qi’s face was slightly pale as she looked at Lu Xunchang in disdain.
With a faint smile, Lu Xunchang then said, “Am I wrong? Is there no affair? That makes sense too because Ye Moxuan is a cripple; you two can’t even have an affair even if you wanted to.”
When Shen Qi heard someone describe Ye Moxuan as a cripple, she immediately burst into anger. Clenching the spoon tightly in her hands, she said, “President Lu, I don’t think a gentleman like you should mock someone’s flaws like that.”
“Why not?” Lu Xunchang spread his hands, unbothered by her words. Then, he leaned back against his chair and continued making fun of Ye Moxuan. “Isn’t it a well-known fact? If Ye Moxuan is sexually capable, why would his grandfather be so worried about finding him a woman? However, his efforts will probably be useless.

Just as Lu Xunchang finished his sentence, a cup of burning hot coffee was splashed onto his face without any warning.
Shen Qi put down the coffee cup in her hand and gritted her teeth while she glared at him. “What gives you the right to judge others? A man like you, who sleeps with different women everyday and doesn’t know what real love is, doesn’t have the right to judge others! You even make a joke out of someone’s disability! What a villian!”
Everyone else in the coffee house heard the commotion. They were stunned after they saw what happened and continued to look on in amazement.
The cup of coffee was so hot that after it was splashed on Lu Xunchang’s face, he was stunned for several seconds before he could respond. “How dare you throw your coffee at me?”
Then, he stood up and reached out his hand to slap Shen Qi.
Shen Qi stood still and glared at him without any sign of fear in her eyes.
Unfortunately for him, he was stopped by someone before his hand got near Shen Qi’s fair cheeks.
Xiao Su grabbed his hand and shouted, “If you want to hit Shen Qi, you have to ask Young Master Ye’s permission first!”
With that, he threw Lu Xunchang’s hand away with such force that the latter staggered backward, knocking over the table next to him before falling butt-first to the ground.
As for Shen Qi, she was so startled by what happened that she looked at Xiao Su in astonishment. At that moment, panic replaced the previous defiant expression on her face when she was about to get slapped by Lu Xunchang.
She clenched the hem of her shirt tightly as she looked at Ye Moxuan, who was sitting in his wheelchair, at a loss.
Why is he here?
I was sure he was still in his office when I left just now, so how did he know that I was going to be here? Could it be that he had known all along?
Shen Qi then suddenly remembered Ye Moxuan’s words when he questioned her last night, and she immediately felt like an idiot.
Meanwhile, Lu Xunchang got up from the floor. His jaw was swollen and the corner of his lips were bleeding. He then wiped away the blood from the corner of his lips and chuckled before he grabbed the chair next to him and threw it at Ye Moxuan.
“Young Master Ye!” Xiao Su, who was standing not far away from Lu Xunchang, didn’t expect that the latter would be so despicable.
“Gasp!” Shen Qi saw this and without any hesitation, she rushed forward to block the chair from hurting Ye Moxuan.
Ye Moxuan was about to ask if Lu Xunchang had a death wish, but to his surprise, his view was immediately blocked by someone else. It was because that stupid woman, Shen Qi, had run over and hugged his shoulders as if she wanted to protect him from the hit.
As she leaned forward, her soft hair touched his face and he could smell the unique fragrance that only women had as she got closer to him. As such, Ye Moxuan was stunned.
“What the hell are you doing? Get out of the way!” When Ye Moxuan saw the chair Lu Xunchang threw coming his way, his gaze instantly sharpened before he grabbed Shen Qi’s wrist and pulled her into his arms with one hand while quickly turning the wheels of his wheelchair with the other.
Bang! The chair fell to the ground, right where Ye Moxuan’s wheelchair had been just a moment ago.
The chair was thrown with such a force it left scratch marks on the floor.
When the other people in the coffee shop saw this, they were utterly shocked.
Fortunately, Ye Moxuan had grabbed Shen Qi and avoided the chair at the crucial moment.
“You shameless b*stard!” Xiao Su let out a sigh of relief after he saw that Ye Moxuan and Shen Qi were safe. However, what followed was anger as he walked up to Lu Xunchang and grabbed his collar before giving him a punch in the jaw.
Lu Xunchang got hit by Xiao Su the first time because he was unprepared. However, he had learned from that lesson and was prepared this time, so he punched Xiao Su back. The both of them then started fighting each other.
Meanwhile, Shen Qi was still hugging Ye Moxuan’s neck tightly with her eyes closed tightly; she was so afraid her tiny body was shaking and even her eyelashes trembled. However, even though she was scared, she did not let go of Ye Moxuan.
“When are you going to let go?” Ye Moxuan asked in a hoarse voice.
He was a little startled by her actions. When the chair was thrown in his direction just now, he was calm because he knew that he could get out of the way easily, but Shen Qi had thrown herself onto him without any thought, becoming a hindrance to him.
However, Shen Qi had rushed forward to save him without regard for her own safety, and her actions were like a wave of warmth that slowly spread through his body.
Shen Qi was a little surprised when she heard his voice. She slowly opened her eyes in fear and looked around before she noticed that she wasn’t feeling any pain.
What happened?
After Shen Qi realized that she was still hugging Ye Moxuan, she hurriedly got up and coughed awkwardly before she asked, “Are you okay?”
Ye Moxuan stared at her coldly without saying a word, thereupon Shen Qi’s lips trembled as she mumbled, “I’m sorry…”
“Why are you apologizing?” Ye Moxuan narrowed his eyes and stared at her intently. “Don’t you know that it’s dangerous? Why did you pounce on me?”
I didn’t want to throw myself at you either; I’m scared of getting hit too.
At that moment, all Shen Qi could think about was that she was Ye Moxuan’s wife and that he was a cripple; she thought that he wouldn’t be able to avoid the hit. There was no way she could stand by and watch him get hurt right in front of her.
“Do you know that you throwing yourself at me was actually a burden to me?”
Shen Qi wanted to defend herself but when she realized that she was fine because Ye Moxuan saved her, she didn’t know what to say.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t have time to think…” Shen Qi explained meekly as she played with her fingers.
If she had known that she would become a burden, she wouldn’t have thrown herself at him.
When Ye Moxuan saw her meek expression, he suddenly couldn’t find the words to scold her anymore.
It was true that Shen Qi had done it to protect him from danger; she didn’t know that she would become a burden to him as it was an accident.
Besides, how could she have known that he would be able to avoid the hit by himself? She rushed forward to shield him because she thought that he was going to hit.
As Ye Moxuan thought more about Shen Qi’s actions, his gaze at Shen Qi became more complicated. What is going on in that woman’s mind? What is she thinking?
Meanwhile, Xiao Su had already beaten up Lu Xunchang so badly he couldn’t get up. At first, Lu Xunchang still had the energy to fight back but he slowly weakened after some time. After all, Xiao Su was a martial arts practitioner. After Xiao Su defeated Lu Xunchang, he grabbed him by the collar and dragged him over to Ye Moxuan.
“Young Master Ye, how should I deal with him?”
Ye Moxuan glared at Lu Xunchang as if he was dead to him before he said, “Is it fun to launch personal-attacks at people? Since President Lu likes to play with women so much and even dared to touch my woman, I think we should nip the problem in the bud.”
