Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 466

That night, a news article titled ‘Who is Zhao Yiru?’ started trending. Upon clicking on it, there was a video showing Han Group’s President Han asking coldly while having a hand in his pocket, “Zhao Yiru? Who is that?”

Netizens started making mocking comments, claiming that Zhao Yiru was acting out a self-directed drama. Some even commented that she was delusional for dreaming of marrying into a wealthy family and that she should take the time for some self-reflection.

After she saw the trending news, Yan put on a bathrobe and ran to Han Muzi’s bedroom with her phone. She got into bed with Han Muzi. “Muzi, you have your brother’s ear. Look, your brother responded. The entire internet community is now mocking Zhao Yiru.” Yan had a hand over her mouth while she giggled in exhilaration. “Just thinking of her usual gleeful face morphing into a panicked one makes me so happy.”

“Enough of that. What is there to be happy about?”

“Why shouldn’t I be happy? Wasn’t she faking? I’d like to see how she’d continue pretending now that she’s been exposed. She is shameless. How dare she use others for her popularity?! Hmph! Just read the comments section.”

Han Muzi took a glance and saw that they were all horrible comments. Netizens who were previously envious of her were now condemning her. They were condemning her for being shameless, and that she was sexy but brainless. Some were even demanding that she leave the entertainment industry.

‘Please call me the only prophet here. I’ve mentioned long ago that the President of the Han Group has no interest in women. Everybody knows that he has been single all along which means that he must have exceptionally high standards. How could he possibly fall for a bimbo like Zhao Yiru? It might have been slightly more believable if it were Lin Xinghuo. Those who were envious and wishing them happiness before must feel like absolute fools now. Who would have expected Zhao Yiru to use Han Qing to increase her popularity? Did she think that he would ignore such rumors just because he is always busy? She has now utterly embarrassed herself.’

‘Isn’t Han Qing being a little too inconsiderate? Even if he wasn’t acquainted with Zhao Yiru, he should have acted more like a gentleman when dealing with a woman! It would have been fine if he denied it directly. It would also have been acceptable if he had not commented at all. However, he just straight out asked who she was. Zhao Yiru is so popular; how could he possibly not know her?’

‘Hello? Are you kidding me? Do you know how powerful Han Qing is in North City? Why would a big player from the business world take note of a woman from the entertainment industry—a bimbo no less?’

‘Hey you, with the foolish comment! You must be another stupid fanboy or fangirl of Zhao Yiru, aren’t you?’

‘Let’s watch them go berserk.’

‘Someone’s fans were bragging about their idol previously. I am guessing they are utterly embarrassed now, aren’t they? Shouldn’t they hide in a corner and stay silent?!’

Han Muzi looked away after reading that last comment. “Alright, that’s the end of this matter for now. You’ve vented your frustration; you should go ahead and rest early.”

Hmph, I have indeed vented my frustration. Han Qing claimed that he doesn’t know her, which means that he has never given her a dress in the past. It means that she’s wearing a fake. In the future, many luxurious brands will refuse to work with her. Ah, I am so happy. I’m going back to sleep.”

Once Yan left the room, the smile vanished from Han Muzi’s face. She stayed in bed while holding a book and spaced out. She couldn’t even focus on reading her favorite book because her mind had been replaying the words that Ye Moxuan said to her.

“Mommy.” Just when she was spacing out, a pair of hands pressed against her face suddenly.

Han Muzi snapped back to reality and realized that Little Bean was inches away. The little fellow was kneeling by the bed patting her face softly. “Mommy, what are you thinking about? I called you so many times.”

“Little Bean?” Han Muzi looked at him apologetically. “I’m sorry, I was thinking about something earlier. Were you calling me for a very long time?”

“Mm-hmm!” Little Bean nodded adorably. “I called ‘mommy’ three to four times, but you didn’t answer me. Mommy, is something bothering you? Why don’t you tell me? I can share your worries with you.”

Something bothering me? Share my worries?

Han Muzi stared at the child in front of her, and her heart broke. She reached out to pull him into an embrace before answering him softly, “It’s nothing. I was just thinking about work earlier, and that’s why I was distracted. Little Bean, do you recall telling me that you were hoping for the big-shot from the other night to be your daddy?”

Little Bean blinked. “Is it not okay?”

Han Muzi chuckled before answering him, “I just wanted to ask you why you want him specifically. There are so many better and more outstanding men than him. Besides… I can find a better daddy for you.”

Little Bean wrinkled his nose when he heard that, and he replied to her in a somewhat dissatisfied tone, “But I think he is awesome.”

Han Muzi sensed that her child had very strong opinions, and so she wanted to advise him. However, she realized with a start that Little Bean did not see the person upstairs. He just heard that the person was a powerful figure; they had not even met. In that case, why don’t I just hide this from him? Little Bean wouldn’t know about it even if it were someone else. No. How could I possibly lie to my child as a mother?

Han Muzi smiled upon deciding, and she tried explaining to him, “However, I don’t wish to be with him. I don’t wish for him to be your daddy.”

“Huh?” Little Bean looked up in confusion while blinking at Han Muzi. “Mommy, don’t you like that person?”

“Mm-hmm.” Han Muzi nodded. “I don’t like him.”

Little Bean wrinkled his nose again. After pondering for some time, he finally wrapped his arms around Han Muzi’s neck while nuzzling her cheek intimately. “Alright. I don’t want him to be my daddy since you don’t like him, mommy.”

Han Muzi felt tears brimming in her eyes when she heard that. In the beginning, she thought her son would have insisted. Who would have expected him to be so considerate? Besides, he had a very tender expression when he said that. Han Muzi was moved beyond words at that moment.

She didn’t want her child to see her tears, and so she reached out to embrace him. Her eyes were glassy with tears when she spoke to him, “My dear Little Bean, you are so obedient. You are all grown up now; in fact, you are a mature, tiny adult.”

With Little Bean’s blessings, I will find someone else. As for Ye Moxuan, I will have to find a way to divorce him. Five years ago, he wanted a divorce. He wouldn’t even see me, and neither would he believe me. Five years have passed now, and I will never expose myself to such humiliation again by being with him. I must get a divorce—that’s not up for discussion. I will not allow Ye Moxuan to be Little Bean’s father. I have to find a father for Little Bean. I have to search for a loving and responsible man.

When she came to that conclusion, Han Muzi shut her eyes and hugged Little Bean even tighter.

“Mommy, let’s sleep.” Little Bean pushed her suddenly. Han Muzi looked away in a panic because her cheeks were streaked with tears. However, Little Bean was not looking at her; instead, he went ahead to switch off the lights.

The room became pitch black. Han Muzi was stunned for a while, but she swiftly brushed off her tears from her cheeks in silence. Then, she answered him with a smile, “Alright, let’s sleep. Good night, Little Bean.”

Little Bean approached her, and she wasn’t sure if it was a coincidence, but his soft lips pressed against her tears. “Good night, mommy.”
