Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 464

The middle-aged man felt a little embarrassed after what she said. He then smiled shyly. “You don’t have to pay me anything. I just happen to be driving to the supermarket in the city to deliver some goods. It won’t be too much trouble to bring you along, so just get in the car.”

Han Muzi smiled slightly. “Thank you, sir.” She walked around to the other side of the truck and opened the door to get into the vehicle.

In the car behind them, Young Master Qi and his friend sat with a dazed expression.

“What’s going on? She doesn’t want to ride with you, and instead, she got into a truck? Young Master Qi, isn’t she deliberately mocking you?”

“Damn!” Young Master Qi slammed his fists on the steering wheel angrily.

The truck promptly left after Han Muzi got in, and drove into the city. After arriving at the supermarket, Han Muzi wanted to pay the man some money, but the honest man was unwilling to accept it. “It was on the way anyway. You don’t have to be so courteous.”

Alas, Han Muzi still stuffed two hundred in his bag and thanked him sincerely before leaving the supermarket. As the supermarket was not far from her company, she could get back by taxi.

After Han Muzi returned, she went directly to her office and shut herself in there. She was confused. All the things that Ye Moxuan had told her were still stuck in her mind. For five years, she thought she had nothing to do with him anymore. But now, he told her that the two of them had not divorced at all. Legally, she was still Ye Moxuan’s wife.

Knock! Knock! Somebody knocked on her office door, and Han Muzi raised her head to see that the door was half-opened. Yan poked her head in and looked at her timidly. She knew that Han Muzi had gone to see Ye Moxuan, so she didn’t dare to barge in like she normally does.

“Come in.” Han Muzi calmed her emotions down and smiled at Yan.

Only then did Yan open the door and walk in. She assessed the expression on Han Muzi’s face and the emotions in her eyes as she entered. Truth be told, she was very curious.

Looking at Yan, Han Muzi sighed helplessly. “Stop being such a busybody. I didn’t get back with him, and it’s impossible to do so.”

Hearing that, Yan’s expression changed and she walked quickly to her. “Why? Don’t you still love him?”

“Love doesn’t mean that we have to be together.”

Yan scratched her head. “I don’t understand.”

“Then it’s better that you don’t understand. Knowing too much about things like that means that you have experienced bad things. Alright, is this why you were looking for me?”

“No!” Yan immediately shook her head and then took out her phone. “Look at what’s trending on Facebook.”

Han Muzi was puzzled and took the phone that Yan had handed over and carefully read the contents. ‘Ye Moxuan Meets a Mysterious Woman’

“Have you seen this?” Yan clicked on the second most trending search as she filled her in on the details. “I just saw this while I was scrolling through Facebook just now. The paparazzi photographed Ye Moxuan hugging you on the night of the press conference and posted it on the Internet. Now, everyone is wondering who this woman is.”

Han Muzi was rendered speechless. Sure enough, she knew that Ye Moxuan would cause her trouble.

“Now, everyone is still just guessing, but some people in the comments are already frantically trying to dig out who you are.”

Han Muzi pursed her lips and imagined the scene that night. “Let’s put this matter aside first.”

“Muzi, are you sure that there won’t be any further complications? I’m afraid that you will be exposed. When that happens, you won’t have a peaceful life.”

“I should be safe for now. I hid well that night and didn’t show my face.” Han Muzi shook her head.

“Okay, then.” After Yan finished speaking, she saw another trending news and angrily said, “By the way, I will tell you one more thing. If Ye Moxuan wasn’t trending this time, Zhao Yiru would probably be the top trending news. She is shameless—she hired a lot of marketing accounts to send out rumors that Han Qing, the President of the Han Group, is trying to court her. She also pretended that a mysterious man had sent her some customized dresses. Many people are envious of her right now!”

Hearing this, Han Muzi was a little surprised. “My brother wouldn’t do such a thing.”

“I agree. This Zhao Yiru is just trying to get a sprinkle of Han Qing’s fame. I can’t stand her!”

Han Muzi looked at her amusedly. “Then what are you going to do? Tell my brother about this? That there is a female celebrity who is using his name to get more popularity?”

Yan’s eyes widened. “How could I possibly tell him? My crush would hate me! By the way—” Yan suddenly realized something and looked at Han Muzi with a mischievous glint in her eyes as she smiled slightly. “Muzi, you are the best…”

The more she tried to sound nice, the more goosebumps Han Muzi got.

“Muzi, you are his younger sister. You should tell him about this matter.” Yan simply bent down and hugged Han Muzi’s arm as she made her case pitifully. “You wouldn’t want anyone to use your brother’s name to do something wrong, would you?”

“Well, it’s not a crime to use his name for their popularity.”

“Muzi, how is it not a crime? She is taking advantage of the popularity of the Han Family. When that happens, everyone will have to show her respect. Maybe they will even call her the Young Lady of the Han Family. She is our enemy, you know? She ruined our work last time. If we let her use the popularity of the Han Family, wouldn’t that be—”

“Okay, okay. I know.” Hearing Yan’s reasoning, Han Muzi helplessly agreed to her request. “I will tell my brother later.”

“Muzi, you’re the best!” Yan bent down and kissed Han Muzi on her cheek before quickly running out of the office. Then, she suddenly stopped and suggested, “Why don’t you go to his company to find him now? Anyway, there is still an hour before we get off work. I will pick up Little Bean from school if it is late.”

“Right now?”

“Yes, many reporters already went to the Han Group today. I saw many videos online—many reporters wanted to cover this story and verify it, but your brother refused to give an interview, and no one dares to provoke him.”

Hearing this, Han Muzi understood what she meant. Yan hoped that Han Qing would take this opportunity to deny the incident publicly and embarrass Zhao Yiru.

“I got it.”

After Yan left, the smile on Han Muzi’s face gradually faded. Should I go to Qing? Yeah, I should just go. After all, I have something to ask him too.

So, Han Muzi went out again. This was one of the advantages of being the boss—there were no restrictions on whatever you wanted to do.

When Han Muzi went to the Han Group, she found that there were paparazzi outside the Han Group holding up cameras and discussing amongst themselves. Although she and Han Qing were siblings, this was the first time she had come to his company after so many years.

Han Muzi thought she might have to put in some effort to reach him. When she entered, she was about to call Han Qing, but a girl at the front desk suddenly ran over to her. “Excuse me, are you Miss Muzi?”

Hearing that, Han Muzi was a little surprised. “Do you know me?”

“President Han has specifically ordered that if you come, you can go directly to him using the private elevator.”
