Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 427

In this world, who else could make Ye Moxuan behave so peculiarly? Xiao Su had been with Ye Moxuan for many years, so he knew that the latter had always been cold to everyone. However, this woman was the only one who could stimulate his emotions—pity, love, guilt, and even distress.

Apart from her, no one else appeared in Xiao Su’s mind. However, since she had disappeared for a long time, he had never expected that she would reappear. And even after returning, she could still move Ye Moxuan so effortlessly.

Han Muzi didn’t answer him; she just stared at him indifferently. “Would you like to come and have a cup of tea upstairs?” she asked.

Xiao Su shook his head. Then, he handed a key and her phone to her. “The matter has been settled. Under Young Master Ye’s orders, your phone has been repaired. This is your car key.”

Han Muzi lowered her head and saw a phone and car key lying in his palm. She reached out and took the phone and the keys after being stunned for a while. So he came today just to deliver these? She felt that it couldn’t be that simple.

“Miss Shelly,” Xiao Su suddenly addressed her by her name. When Han Muzi looked up, she saw a strange look on Xiao Su’s face, and his voice sounded lukewarm.

“I know that you are a famous designer now, and that you have started your own company. Back then, you were a person that I admired very much and when you were with Young Master Ye, I felt at ease. But too many incidents have happened over the past five years, so if possible, I hope that you won’t hurt Young Master Ye again.”

Han Muzi was speechless. Hurt Ye Moxuan? When have I ever hurt Ye Moxuan? I’m the one who was hurt back then! Who was the one who forbade me to enter Seabay Villa? Who was the one who did not allow me to enter the Ye residence? And who was the one who threw the divorce agreement in front of me, and asked me not to appear in front of him again?

When these memories flashed through her mind, Han Muzi felt agitated. However, she quickly suppressed these emotions. When she returned to her calm self, she slowly raised her head and looked into Xiao Su’s eyes squarely. “Quit joking around, Xiao Su. Mr. Ye is just my client. Why would I hurt him?”

Xiao Su was taken aback upon hearing her reply. “You—”

Han Muzi smiled slightly. “Thank you for everything—I owe you a favor. Next time, I’ll buy you a meal when you are free or if you need help with something, you can call me. This is my business card.” When she was done talking, Han Muzi handed over her business card. Xiao Su froze for a few seconds before taking the card from her.

“Everything that you are worried about will not happen; in fact, it couldn’t possibly happen.”

“I see. Perhaps I’m too anxious today. I still have some errands to run, so I’ll take my leave then.”

“Okay, take care.” Han Muzi nodded lightly as she watched Xiao Su leave.

After Xiao Su had left, Yan slipped out from a corner.

“What’s the matter? It seems like the conversation didn’t go too well. What happened?”

Hearing Yan’s voice, Han Muzi recovered and shook her head. “It’s nothing. Just go back.”

As Yan looked at Han Muzi’s rear, she couldn’t help but develop a strange feeling. What have they discussed? Why do I feel that the atmosphere was a little strange?

After Han Muzi returned to the office, she sat down to continue sketching out the draft. Though she looked indifferent, there were various questions in her mind. Xiao Su clearly knows about what had happened back then. Why did he say those things today? Is it because Ye Moxuan is already married? Is he afraid that I will take revenge by destroying his marriage? If he really thought of me this way, he is really underestimating me. Even if I had to die, I would never do anything that would tear apart someone else’s families. After all, I have suffered the same kind of fate before. Otherwise, why would she feel so hurt and decided to leave when Han Xueyou told her that she was pregnant?

After that, Han Muzi wanted to continue drawing again, but she found that all her inspirations were gone.

Feeling helpless, she put down her pen and got up to go to the pantry to make herself a cup of coffee. Sometimes, she felt that after five years, even if she failed to remain calm, she should at least be more emotionally-stable. But now, she realized that her inspiration had been interrupted by Xiao Su’s words. In fact, it had disappeared completely.

As she thought of this, Han Muzi asked Yan directly, “I’m going to isolate myself to draw a draft today, so I am not meeting anyone. If there are any customers or any other matters, just see to it yourself.”

Looking at how serious she was, Yan nodded without another word. “Don’t worry. Just draw peacefully. I will take care of everything else.”

“That’d be great. Thank you.”

After that, Han Muzi locked the door of her office and went directly to the lounge. She placed a chair in front of the French windows and sat on the floor to start drawing.

She closed her eyes while she thought about the inspiration she had just now and put everything else aside—only designs were in her mind now.

Yan waited for her outside. The two of them had agreed to view an apartment nearby at noon, but since Han Muzi said she was going to isolate herself to draw, Yan didn’t dare to bother her. She did not dare go in even during lunchtime. There was once when Leng Yueyue came over to find Han Muzi, but Yan stopped her outside. “She’s not seeing us? What is she doing hiding in her office?”

“An inspiration struck Muzi, so she is drawing some designs in the room. She ordered that no one should disturb her during this period, so if you have any business with her, just wait until she’s done with her drawing.”

Leng Yueyue didn’t hate Han Muzi as much as she initially did after realizing that Han Muzi was quite a capable woman. She admired such women, but she still acted somewhat annoyed and let out a snort. “She is already the head of the company, yet she is doing something like this. If something really happens to the company, would she still lock herself up and make drawings?”

Hearing that, Yan frowned with an annoyed look on her face. “You can tell me whatever you wish to tell her—I can convey the message. There’s no need for you to be so sarcastic.”

Tsk! I can’t be bothered telling you! I will come back later.” With that, Leng Yueyue left. She waited until three or four o’clock in the afternoon before making a second round to see Han Muzi, but her office door was still closed.

Leng Yueyue asked, “Don’t tell me that she has been in there since the morning?”

Yan leaned against the door with a worried expression on her face. “Precisely.”

Leng Yueyue was a little dumbfounded when she heard that. “Is she crazy? Even if she is making drafts, she should take care of her body! Drawing all day like this—is that her way of doing things as a boss?”

Yan seemed to be drained—she didn’t even want to talk to Leng Yueyue; she just leaned against the wall, dispirited.

Leng Yueyue thought for a while and looked at Yan while asking, “She didn’t even take her lunch, right?”

Yan nodded. “She only ate something in the morning and has been in her office since.”

Leng Yueyue was speechless when she heard that, and her mouth twitched a few times. Seeing Yan’s helplessness and how she didn’t dare to enter the room, Leng Yueyue couldn’t help but ask, “Did she do this a lot in the past?”
