Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 403

A short while later, Little Bean came back to her with his clothes changed and the sunglasses blocking half of his face. The sunglasses were initially bought by Han Muzi for him. The hat along with the sunglasses should provide enough cover to avoid him being recognized.

Han Muzi was satisfied with his outfit. “Let’s go.”

Little Bean ran over hurriedly to her with his short legs and held onto her arm. “Mommy, let’s go together.”

“Alright.”

Both of them sat together in Mr. Nan’s car as he drove them to the company. When they arrived, Mr. Nan informed Han Muzi, “Miss Muzi, Mr. Han told me to bring you back to the Han Residence an hour later.

“I know, Mr. Nan. You can have a rest upstairs for the time being. We’ll leave an hour later.”

“Alright, Miss Muzi.”

Later, Han Muzi brought Little Bean along with her upstairs. Initially, she wanted to leave him in her office before going down, but Little Bean insisted to follow her. Without a choice, she could only let him follow her to the third floor.

After a night of overtime, the group of people could be seen lifeless at the time of noon. Some were laying flat at their desk dozing off, and some were busy with their own phones. Overall, it wasn’t a proper look of a workplace. However, when the sound of clacking heels was heard, everybody casually glanced toward it, and surprisingly, Han Muzi appeared before their eyes. Just then, everyone straightened their back right away. No matter what, Han Muzi was still their superior.

Even so, Zhang Yu didn’t give much notice to her and sneered, “Who does she think she is? I can’t believe she still has the audacity to come here after screaming at us yesterday to stay overtime and finish the design plans, but she herself wandered to god-knows-where and suddenly showed up so late in the day. How shameless!”

Hearing this, Han Muzi’s expression changed slightly. Usually, she wouldn’t mind these words one bit, but today, there was Little Bean beside her. If she had known about this earlier, she wouldn’t have brought him here.

As she thought about it, she lowered her head to Little Bean next to her. “Little Bean, go find Aunt Yan on the fifth floor now. Alright?”

Even though nobody could see his blinking dark eyes under the sunglasses, his lips started to curl up as he was upset. “No! I want to stay and protect you, Mommy!” he protested.

Everyone was left astounded as a childish voice spread throughout the office. Instantly, everybody couldn’t help but stare toward the little boy beside Han Muzi. He was just a tiny, adorable kid standing beside her. His clothing were fashionable and foreign along with his sunglasses and hat. However, one could easily see the kid’s extraordinary looks just by his frame.

A second later, the little kid walked out a few steps and arrived in front of Zhang Yu. “Aunty, it is wrong of you to talk bad about someone like this. My mommy injured her hands last night, so she didn’t come to the company. And you calling my mommy shameless showed clearly how impolite you are.”

Everyone was utterly dumbfounded. Not only was this kid oozing class and nobility, but he was also excellent at being blunt to point out other people’s weak points. Imagine being called impolite by a little kid as an adult—it went to show how impolite she, an adult, must have been.

After getting called impolite by a little brat, Zhang Yu suddenly blushed. “You… What makes you say I’m impolite? Have I said anything wrong?”

Little Bean blinked his eyes in a cute and adorable way. He looked toward the crowd. “Ladies and gentlemen, didn’t I explain just now?”

Everyone was shocked again, but they instinctively nodded in agreement.

At the same time, Leng Yueyue, with her hands crossed, was standing beside the already blushing Zhang Yu while looking at her with a smirk. “I must say, Zhang Yu, didn’t the kid just explain everything? It was because of her injury that she couldn’t come to the company, but you acted like you didn’t hear a thing. Is it because you’re deaf, or you can’t understand his words?”

“Leng Yueyue, you!” Zhang Yu snapped.

Leng Yueyue raised her eyebrows and smiled. “What about me? All of us heard it crystal clear.” Then, she turned over to Little Bean as a smile crossed her lips. “Little guy, you really have a great eye, knowing to call us ladies. But Zhang Yu here is an aunty, so remember to call her ‘aunty’ from now on.”

“You! Leng Yueyue, you’ve gone too far now! I’m just a few years older than you! Why am I called an aunty, but you can be called a lady? This isn’t fair!”

“Hey, I think it’s better for you to keep quiet. Even though you’re just a few years older than me, we are still a level apart. After all, you’re already in your 30’s now.”

Zhang Yu’s face became more horrid.

As for Han Muzi, who was standing aside, she remained silent. Similarly, she was also a woman in her 30’s, but fortunately, she had a child, so there was nothing to fear of. Upon that thought, she let out a small sigh of relief before waving toward the little boy. “Little Bean, come back here.”

Little Bean acknowledged her and turned his head over before walking back.

Li Junfeng also raised his eyebrows and asked, “Miss Muzi, is this adorable little fellow really your son?”

Wang An couldn’t help but twitch the corner of his lips. “I can’t believe that you have a son already considering how young you are. Is he the son of—” A name flashed through his mind, but for some reason, it never came out of his mouth.

It was Han Qing—a person he didn’t want to mess with.

Shu Guo’er let out a smile, different from her shyful self when she was reprimanded by Han Muzi that day. “This little buddy is very cute, and he is also surprisingly polite.”

Zhang Yu’s face twitched when she heard her words. These words were obviously a jab at her. She knew that Shu Guo’er was getting even with her after she mocked her for copying other people’s work in the meeting room a few days back.

“Alright. I’ve come today to check on your work after last night’s overtime. The meeting will start in 10 minutes, so please be ready.” After Han Muzi finished talking, she left the place while holding onto Little Bean’s hand. The minute she was gone, the whole office blew up.

Sigh, I thought I had a chance of getting with her. But it looks like I should give up on that thought now.” Li Junfeng shaked his head helplessly, as if he had just lost a loved one.

Shu Guo’er, who stood beside him, gave him a glance. “Even if she didn’t have a son, you still wouldn’t stand any chance.”

“Who cares? What’s so great about having a son? If she isn’t recognized as that man’s woman, then what’s the point of having his son? I’d say that it’s even more shameless!” Zhang Yu spat as everyone was listening to her.

Then, Li Junfeng suddenly held his chin and smiled. “To be honest, she never introduced herself before as Han Qing’s woman. Do you think we have misunderstood her?”

“Misunderstood her? Who could she be other than Han Qing’s woman? There is no other reason for Han Qing to throw so much money away for a woman.”

“Zhang Yu, why are you so agitated about it? Even if Han Qing really wanted to throw away his money for her, it’s not like he’s married. Besides, there isn’t even a rumor of him having a girlfriend, so it makes sense for him to throw out this much money. Hence, she isn’t a mistress in the relationship.”

Zhang Yu grunted, “Who cares if she is or isn’t a mistress? She can only depend on other men to survive!”

Umm, I don’t see it that way actually, for she doesn’t seem completely inept. If she really were dependent on men to survive, then she wouldn’t have been able to out our weakness that day.”
