Xiao Su was dumbfounded for a moment before he coughed softly. He desperately wanted to cover his eyes.
Ye Moxuan, in contrast, clearly hadn’t figured it out yet, but as he watched closely at the red dot and the words below it, he squinted his eyes and looked toward Xiao Su. “What does it mean?”
The message was sent but was rejected by the other party.
Xiao Su kept on twitching his body, not answering Ye Moxuan’s question.
“Xiao Su.” Ye Moxuan’s voice turned cold as his eyes were filled with murderous intent.
Then, Xiao Su let out a dry laugh before gently explaining to him, “Young Master Ye, it means you’ve been blocked.”
Ye Moxuan was dumbstruck. “Blocked?”
“Yes.” Xiao Su nodded solemnly. “It means that the other person found out about your personal information through your friend request and put you under their blocked list.” He was afraid that Ye Moxuan couldn’t understand properly so he explained it in great detail.
After he was done, Ye Moxuan’s face was darkened to the core.
At this moment, Xiao Su realized that he had spoken too much, so he immediately stopped talking and stood straight as a pole.
He thought to himself, Oh, my god! What I’ve said just now won’t get me into trouble, right? But it’s because he seemed like he didn’t understand any of it, so I wanted to explain it clearer to him.
The veins on Ye Moxuan’s forehead were starting to bulge as he tightened his grip on the phone. The side of his lips then curled up chillingly while he asked, “So I’ve been blocked. Does this mean they know who I am?”
Xiao Su nodded callously. “I guess so. Or else… they wouldn’t have blocked you.”
Ye Moxuan kept quiet as his gloomy eyes stared straight at the WeChat interface on his screen.
He had already sent her the request for a long time now, and right at the moment she accepted it, he was immediately blocked.
“If they really wanted to block me, why go through all this?” asked Ye Moxuan as he was very upset.
Xiao Su blinked and replied, “Maybe… it was a mistake.”
Ye Moxuan’s lips twitched before he turned his murderous gaze toward Xiao Su.
“President Ye, please tell this cowardly old geezer how it should be done!” The two men who were arguing while all of this was happening suddenly looked toward Ye Moxuan and threw the problem to him. It didn’t matter how long they quarrel over the decision; the final call was still in Ye Moxuan’s hands.
Unexpectedly, he raised his head and gave them an unwelcoming glance. “What is it?”
The two men’s expressions changed. “President Ye?”
Xiao Su couldn’t bear to look at the situation, so he whispered to him, “It’s about the development of Feng Group’s land.”
“I see.” Ye Moxuan raised his lips. “I haven’t given much thought into it, so let’s just call it a day. Meeting is adjourned.”
Everybody was left staggered by him.
However, he couldn’t care less for everyone’s reaction; he straight away picked up his phone and went back to his office.
That woman. That god damn woman! She actually blocked me after accepting my friend request. So it looks like she clearly knows who I am. But how could she treat her future client like that? Fine! That’s just perfect.
As soon as he reached his office, he used his other account to try to add her again, but there was no reply or reaction in the end.
After giving it a thought, he finally realized something.
He had used so many accounts to try to add her last night. If she was smart enough, she would have figured out what he was up to.
Ye Moxuan bit gently on his lips as he placed his phone on the desk, feeling frustrated as ever.
What do I do now? he wondered. He followed according to his mind when he asked for the contact from Li Qingqing, but he never anticipated to meet her there.
Ye Moxuan shut his eyes. What came after seemed to be in chaos and completely out of order.
…
Han Muzi had been staying at home recovering for a whole morning. Han Qing was very concerned for her hands, so he called over the doctor again to change the medicine on her hands. When the doctor was changing her wound dressing, she felt that the pain on her hands wasn’t as excruciating as yesterday anymore; it looked like the doctor’s medicine worked a treat.
After changing the medicine, Han Muzi wanted to go back to the company but was stopped by Han Qing. “You’d better stay at home for these few days and get some rest.”
Hearing that, Han Muzi’s eyebrows raised. “Qing!”
“You’re not going anywhere before your hands are fully healed.”
“Qing!” She was getting a little angry at him. “You were the one who started the company for me. Now, there’s a lot of people in the company and clients waiting for me, but you’re saying I can’t go back. What about my clients?”
Han Qing was stunned as he didn’t know she would be enraged by him, so he unwittingly said to her, “Muzi, I’m doing this for your good. I’m very worried of you carrying that injury. Besides, what else can you do in the company with injured hands?”
After listening to his sigh, Han Muzi realized that she was letting her anger get over her head for the moment, and so she softened up and pleaded to him, “Qing, I’m not going there for work; I’m just going there to check on their design plans and maybe guide them on it. You said it yourself that I can’t do anything with my hands now, so I won’t even be using them later, alright? My dear brother, I know you are concerned for me, but I’m just going there to have a peek. Can I do that?”
At the end, Han Qing unwillingly nodded after her constant plea. “Fine. Let Mr. Nan send you over. But you must be back within an hour.”
An hour was enough for her. Then, Han Muzi was pleased as she nodded. “Thank you, Qing.”
Afterward, she swiftly turned to go upstairs but was grabbed at the leg by Little Bean, who heard that she was going to work.
“Mommy, I want to go too. I want to go too!”
Han Muzi was stunned. “What do you want to go there for? I’ll only be there for an hour. I’ll be back soon.”
“No.” He then went to hug her arms. “You’re hurt, mommy. I want to protect you!”
Han Muzi was speechless at his reaction. “You little bean sprout, what can you possibly do over there? Add more trouble for me, huh?”
After she was done, she bent over to have a laugh at him.
Little Bean felt upset, and he pouted his lips. “You’re a bad person, mommy! How dare you make fun of me!”
Han Muzi was just having fun with him, so after seeing his face, she couldn’t help but flash her white teeth to reveal a huge smile. “You silly little boy. If you want to go, then go wear your sunglasses and hat.”
“Alright. Please wait for me, mommy.” Immediately, he went back to his room to change his clothing.
While watching his back, Han Muzi drifted off for a while. Back when she was abroad, she could do whatever she wanted, but now… she couldn’t, especially after bumping into that person yesterday. Seeing how alike both he and Little Bean’s faces were, she felt like there was an answer waiting to burst out.
However, she couldn’t even dare to think of it as it was too absurd; it was downright impossible.
Now, it would be better for Little Bean if he could conceal his looks, or else… it would draw a lot of unwanted speculation and whispers.
As expected, this was the inconvenience of staying in the same city.
