Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 354

Han Qing somehow managed to take Yan back to her room by dragging and carrying her there. After he had settled her down, only then did he go back downstairs for Han Muzi.

It was probably because she was tired, for Han Muzi didn’t go berserk after getting drunk. Instead, she just fell into a deep slumber on the sofa.

However, when Han Qing almost reached her, she suddenly turned over and almost fell from the couch to the cold, hard floor. He quickly sprinted forward to support her and helped her back to her original position.

After such an episode, sweat broke out on Han Qing’s forehead.

The man who was usually calm and composed became rather flustered at this moment.

Looking at Han Muzi in her sleep, Han Qing shook his head helplessly. “You guys are really troublemakers. Who are the guests now, you ladies or me?”

Forget it. She’s my sister after all.

Han Qing doted on his younger sister a lot. In the end, he got up and carried Han Muzi back to her room.

After settling them down, Han Qing went back to the room to wash up. As soon as he entered the room, he found Little Bean hugging a pillow on the bed, looking at him with bright eyes.

“Uncle Qing, thanks for your hard work!”

Han Qing, who was unbuttoning his shirt, felt like he was pranked for no apparent reason. “Go to sleep.”

Upon his reminder, Little Bean immediately turned around and covered himself with a blanket. “Good night, Uncle Qing. See you tomorrow.”

The hangover was real—when Han Muzi woke up the next day, it was already very late in the morning. She turned around and felt that her head was incredibly heavy. After looking at the bright room, she sat up uncomfortably.

What time is it?

Han Muzi stretched out her hand and grabbed her phone to look at the time, only to realize that it was already ten in the morning. Despite that, she walked to the bathroom for the morning ablutions without any trace of panic.

When she got changed and went downstairs, she saw Han Qing sitting on the couch with a laptop, working.

Seems like he’s in a video conference.

Han Muzi didn’t greet him. Instead, she went straight to the kitchen and poured herself a glass of water.

When she came out, Han Qing was done with the video conference. “You’re finally up?”

“Qing, don’t you have to go to work? Why aren’t you going to the company?”

“I want to go, but I can’t stop worrying about you ladies, what’s with you guys having drunk so much yesterday.”

Hearing that, Han Muzi stuck out her tongue mischievously. Initially, she didn’t want to drink so much, but she gradually got carried away and forgot to restrain herself.

She honestly didn’t remember a thing. At this moment, she could only look at Han Qing and ask, “Qing, I haven’t said anything nonsense last night, have I?”

“What do you think?” Han Qing fired back.

Han Muzi smiled awkwardly. “How would I know? If I knew, I wouldn’t have had to ask you.”

“When you were abroad, did both of you do this often?”

Han Muzi froze for a moment before shaking her head immediately afterward. “Absolutely not. We only did this once in a blue moon…”

“Once in a blue moon?” Han Qing raised his eyebrows, yielding a dangerous look in his eyes.

“We don’t—” Upon seeing Han Qing’s serious expression, Han Muzi realized that this wouldn’t end well, so she immediately changed tracks and walked to him. “Qing, we only had a glass or two as a form of celebration for a job well done occasionally. It’s nothing much, certainly not what you thought it was, and it definitely wasn’t like what happened last night.”

To be honest, it was worse than he could imagine. They didn’t drink as much as they usually did last night.

Well, technically speaking, it’s definitely different from last night.

Realizing that he was so pissed by them that his anger had somehow started to dissipate, Han Qing stretched out his hand and massaged his aching temples. “Well, you have to take care of yourself. I won’t restrain you in what you want to do, but if you often indulge yourself like this and don’t care about your health, you have no say when I get someone to watch over you when the time comes.”

The last sentence caused Han Muzi to grimace slightly. “Get someone to watch over me? What do you mean?”

Han Qing stopped talking and stared at her with pursed lips.

Han Muzi fluttered her eyelashes and asked awkwardly, “Qing, it isn’t what I thought, is it?”

“More or less.” Han Qing turned around and donned his suit that was hanging on the hanger next to him. While buttoning the suit, he said sternly, “You are not young anymore; you’re a mother. If you don’t take care of yourself, I must find someone to take care of you.”

“You only know how to lecture me. Why don’t you look at yourself? I’m just your sister, and as my brother, there is no one watching over you too.”

She retaliated after a slight pause, but there were no changes in Han Qing’s expression.

Instead, his voice turned colder.

“You finally realize that I am your brother now.”

Upon hearing that, Han Muzi stopped speaking at once.

After all, he was the elder brother. As his younger sister, she should listen to his advice obediently.

“I have to go back to North City. When are you planning to go back to the Han residence?”

“Can I—”

“No.”

“Alright, got it. I need to go there for a job two days later anyway. I will drop by then.”

“Okay.”

Han Qing left after he got a satisfactory answer from her.

After he left, Han Muzi stood by the window and ruffled her long hair, feeling a little distressed. In all honesty, Han Qing treated her really well. However, he could be very strict and scrupulous at times, minding her like a father minding a daughter.

She could give in to other things, but she really couldn’t do the same in terms of romantic relationships.

Although he did not arrange any blind date for her in the past five years because of Little Bean and her state of mind, what he said just now showed that he had the intention to do so.

It was probably only a matter of time before a blind date was arranged for her.

I have to think of something fast! How can I make Han Qing forget about this?

When she was thinking, sfootsteps rang behind her as Yan rushed downstairs looking at her nervously.

“Your brother is gone?”

Han Muzi turned around. “Yeah. What’s wrong?”

Yan clutched her chest with an upset look on her face. “Oh my god, I almost died of shame! I can’t believe that I got drunk last night! I woke up this morning and realized that I can’t remember anything about last night!”

“So?” Han Muzi walked past her nonchalantly and said indifferently, “What’s wrong with that? I was also drunk.”

“I’m different!” Yan quickly caught up with her and said miserably, “You are his sister, but I am just your assistant!”

“So?” Han Muzi turned around, leaning against the table with her hands crossed in front of her chest as she looked at Yan leisurely.

Yan cupped her cheeks regrettably. “How can a heartless woman like you understand my feelings? I am not his sister; I am just an ordinary woman, and I was actually drunk in front of him. My reputation must be ruined. In your brother’s eyes, I must be a two-bit nobody!”

“So what? You don’t care, do you? Don’t tell me that—” Han Muzi raised her eyebrows and looked at her in amusement.

Yan’s expression changed; it was only then did she realize that she had given something away at this moment. At once, she glared back at Han Muzi.

“Do you like my brother?” Han Muzi leaned over and asked in a low voice.

“Oh, cut it!” Yan walked away from her. “There is no such thing!”
