Ye Moxuan suddenly held her thin arm as he tried to pry her away from him. Shen Qi noticed his intention as she quickly reached out her arms to circle around his neck. She had no intention to release her grip on him.
Ye Moxuan was speechless and he frowned in that instant. Since when did she learn how to pester another person like this? He had never seen her like this before, and now she actually…
He frowned as he said in a deep voice, “Release me at once!”
Shen Qi bit her bottom lip tightly as she closed her eyes and went for it. “No!”
Ye Moxuan asked again, “Are you going to release me or not?”
“No, I won’t! Over my dead body! Ye Moxuan, I am not leaving you! We already got our marriage certificate. You can’t do this to me!”
“Hah!” Ye Moxuan suddenly sneered in a low voice; his laugh was filled with irony. “You are really good at acting. If I did not know this in advance, I’m afraid that I would be fooled by you!”
Stunned, Shen Qi’s grip loosened slightly. Ye Moxuan took advantage of it, thereupon he grabbed her hands and pushed her away. Shen Qi took two steps back before she managed to stabilize herself, and she looked at Ye Moxuan. In the end, he really did push her away. Did he really want to divorce her?
“It seems that you won’t give up unless you know the truth. Follow me then.” Ye Moxuan pushed his wheelchair out of the lounge. Shen Qi stood still for a while before she followed behind him slowly.
She followed Ye Moxuan into the office outside. Then, he walked toward his office table and opened the drawers. Following that, he took out a Kraft paper bag and threw it on the table. “Take a look at it. After you are done, I want you to get out of my sight.”
How could he put it in such a nasty manner? Shen Qi suddenly felt disheartened. She stood in her original spot without moving and looked at Ye Moxuan.
Her gaze made Ye Moxuan feel uneasy. “What’s the matter?”
“No matter what is inside there, it is your reason for persuading me to leave, right?”
Ye Moxuan pursed his lips and did not say a word as he stared at her with his deep and unfathomable eyes.
“So…” Shen Qi smiled. “I will not look.”
“There are millions of reasons for you to choose from if you want to chase me away. Since you still pushed me away even though I have thrown away my self-respect by begging you, then I will do as you wish.”
Shen Qi did not come forward to take the document as she did not want to know what was inside it. She had done enough for today.
However, Ye Moxuan had no intentions to go back on his decision. Not even the slightest hint at all. So, what was the point of her staying here? To humiliate herself?
“I am sorry for bothering you throughout this period. I will disappear from your sight forever, and I will not appear in front of you again.” With that, Shen Qi tried her best to hold back the tears that were threatening to fall as she gave him a big smile. There was a trace of sadness in her smile. Although the smile on her lips was faint, her expression and gaze was filled with despair.
Since it was her choice, why did she have to show him this kind of attitude now? Ye Moxuan’s lips parted, yet he remained silent.
Shen Qi slowly turned around and left the office. She happened to bump into Xiao Su when she walked out of the office.
When he noticed that her entire face was covered in tears, he was stunned. “Second Young Lady, you…”
Shen Qi did not seem to see him as she walked past him directly.
Xiao Su found it weird that Shen Qi would appear here, but he reacted quickly as he entered the office in a jiffy. Just as he was about to speak up, Ye Moxuan opened his mouth immediately and stopped him from asking questions. “Get rid of these documents. In the future, she is not allowed to enter the Ye Group anymore.”
Xiao Su remained stunned for some time before he finally reacted, “Young Master Ye, are you… going to sever your ties completely with the Second Young Lady? Are you sure you won’t regret it?”
When he heard this, Ye Moxuan raised his eyebrow as he said in a stern voice, “Who are you to question my decisions?”
Xiao Su said, “But… Young Master Ye, this matter—”
“Get out!”
“Young Master Ye!”
“Scram!” Ye Moxuan suddenly blew his top; he raised his hand and swept everything off the table.
Crash! Crash! Crash! All the machineries on his table were swept to the floor as they landed with a huge crash. However, Shen Qi was far away from here, so she did not hear these sounds.
Xiao Su looked at the scene blankly for quite some time. In the end, he chose to remain silent as he turned around and left.

Yan had been waiting for Shen Qi in the Finance Department for quite some time, yet she did not return. As such, Yan was quite anxious at the moment. She was wondering what was keeping Shen Qi. Perhaps she had reconciled with Ye Moxuan and both of them are being all lovey-dovey with each other at the moment?
Yan felt happy at the thought of them being all mushy with each other. If this was true, she did not have to worry about them anymore. After encountering such a major incident, their love would finally come to fruition. Hence, Yan thought to herself again that she must extort a meal out of Shen Qi after they had reconciled with each other. After all, she was kept on her feet throughout the last few days because of Shen Qi.
“Yan, didn’t you come with Shen Qi to the company?” Just as she was lost in her own thoughts, one of her colleagues suddenly asked her.
Yan came to her senses, then nodded her head and said, “That’s right. I came to the company with her. But, how did you know?”
“I saw you both. I happened to be downstairs when you guys entered. But, aren’t you on leave today? Why did you come to the company?”
“Because I felt like it. I applied for a leave so that I can come back to the company to have fun.”
“Then… you won’t be leaving with Shen Qi?”
“Can’t you see that I am waiting for her?”
“But, we saw her downstairs just now. I think she left.”
“What?” Yan immediately exploded as she jumped to her feet. “She left? When?”
“Just now…”
Damn it! Yan instantly rushed outside. However, she returned halfway.
“Wait a minute, when you guys came downstairs just now, was she alone or did she leave with someone else?” She had to find out the actual situation. If she rushed after them blindly, she might end up disturbing them. By then, she wouldn’t know what to do.
“I am certain that she left here alone. Moreover, she seems out of sorts, and here I was thinking to myself what was wrong with her?”
“Do you even need an explanation? Recently, she has been absent from the company. Previously, we heard that she had caught the attention of President Ye. Now, it seems that she was dumped by him.”
When her other colleagues heard these, they couldn’t help but take joy in her misfortunes as they continued to add salt to the wounds.
Soon, somebody added on as well, “That is right. I bet that she was dumped by him since she was crying like that. I told you guys that President Ye would not fall in love with a woman like her. I bet that her skills in bed are good, and he just wanted to lose himself in her pleasure. Now that the novelty has worn off, naturally he does not want her anymore.”
Upon hearing that, the rest laughed heartily.
Yan’s expression changed dramatically as she bellowed, “What nonsense are you guys talking about?! Shen Qi is not the kind of person you say she is! She is President Ye’s lover and nothing else. Do you guys think that everybody is as despicable as you all?! You guys really are the worst of the worst!”
