Ye Moxuan raised his eyebrow and Xiao Su immediately went close to him. Shen Qi could see Ye Moxuan whispering something into Xiao Su’s ears as astonishment shone past Xiao Su’s eyes and he glanced over in Shen Qi’s direction.
Shen Qi’s anxiety spiked when she met Xiao Su’s gaze.
She felt insecure, having made a huge mess after just a few days of being his assistant.
In no time, Xiao Su left, leaving only Ye Moxuan and Shen Qi in the store.
Shen Qi didn’t want Ye Moxuan to help her with her problem as she knew that she was the one who created this mess.
Hence, she went up to the clerk to apologize to her, “I’m sorry that I tore the dress; it was an accident. How much is this dress? Could you please give me the bill? I’ll pay you with monthly installments.”
“Monthly installments?” The clerk blinked. She wanted to refuse but was too afraid to do so in Ye Moxuan’s presence. Displeasure was clear in her eyes.
“Yes, monthly installments. Although I can’t completely pay them off now, I’ll be able to one day. Could you please inform your supervisors about this?”
“Are you kidding me?” Shi Qinbao chimed in and mocked, “This dress’s price literally starts off at 300,000. If you’re paying by monthly installment, let’s assume that you pay 3000 monthly if you do not spend any of your salary on food or any necessities. You’ll only get 36,000 per year! Including interest, you’d have to pay for more than 10 years! It probably doesn’t matter to you, Shen Qi, but why would you drag a staff member into your mess?”
The clerk immediately got agitated after hearing Shi Qinbao as well. “I’ve contacted the police! We shall see what the police say later then!”
Shen Qi bit her lip, colour draining out of her face.
“Shen Qi, isn’t that crippled man behind you a president? Why don’t you beg for him to help you out? He was acting like one just now, wasn’t he? Why is he not paying then? What a joke!”
“What’s wrong? Didn’t the man claim to be Ye Moxuan just now? How is it possible that the second Young Master of Ye Family can’t afford a dress?”
“Maybe he’s a fake.”
“But his strong presence just now really doesn’t seem like he’s faking it though.”
“Just search online, easy!”
“Yeah! It is not possible for their information to not be on the Internet. Let’s search for it online!”
While the onlookers were searching for Ye Moxuan’s information online, Xiao Su had returned with three men behind him.
The sales clerk noticed one of the men and hurried over to greet him, “You’re finally here, boss! A lady tore one of the dresses just now, I—”
The boss of the store ignored her and went to Ye Moxuan before greeting humbly, “Why didn’t you inform me that you’re coming, Young Master Ye? I would have gotten a few professionals to serve you instead!”
Everyone fell into hushed silence.
Shi Qinbao blinked in shock. What is happening right now?!
“Is this your store?” Ye Moxuan’s eyes shot up and he stared at him coldly.
The boss of the store was so terrified by his stare that his legs started shaking. Then, Xiao Su went up to Ye Moxuan with a contract. “Young Master Ye, I’ve settled what you asked for me to do.”
Ye Moxuan raised his chin a little. Xiao Su then nodded and went over to Shen Qi before placing a contract in front of her.
“Young Master Ye has bought the entire mall and placed it under your name. This will be your property in the future, and everything will be under your name.”
Shen Qi’s mouth opened a little, confusion flashing in her eyes.
Everyone was dumbfounded.
“He made his move and bought the entire mall? What an extravagant tactic!”
“Who was the one claiming that he was a fake? Who accused him of not being able to afford the dress?!”
“It was the pregnant lady. She looks like an upstart. She probably thought that she was all that just because she has a few bucks to spare.”
“Moreover, from the way she spoke it seems like she was a mistress? Why are there still people like this? How can someone be proud of being the destroyer of a family? Is there something wrong with society nowadays or is it just me?”
The sudden change in situation caught Shi Qinbao off guard.
Shi Qinbao thought that it was over for Shen Qi as she wasn’t able to fork out money for the dress. She had planned to take the opportunity to humiliate her but who knew that it would backfire on her.
It seemed like the man in the wheelchair next to her was really the Ye Family’s second Young Master.
“Miss Shen, keep it.” Xiao Su placed the contract in Shen Qi’s hands when he noticed that Shen Qi was still in a daze.
Shen Qi was confused. If Ye Moxuan was heartless, why would he purchase an entire mall for her?
Xiao Su placed the contract in Shen Qi’s hands as she glanced at Ye Moxuan subconsciously.
Ye Moxuan was staring at her as he reached his hand out toward Shen Qi.
“Come here.”
His voice was magnetic, as if it was pulling Shen Qi over to him. When she reached his side, Ye Moxuan grabbed her wrist, his eyes blazing.
“Qi, the entire mall belongs to you now. If there are people that you don’t want to see here, we can get them to leave right now!”
Ye Moxuan’s voice was deep in the first place. Now, as he lowered his voice to call out her name, his voice was even huskier.
Shen Qi could feel herself getting sucked in by his eyes as she nodded mechanically.
“Alright.”
Shi Qinshi snapped back from her trance before rushing over. “How is this possible? Buying the entire mall? Are you kidding me, Shen Qi?!”
She thought that Lin Jiang was rich after winning the lottery and she could finally brag in front of Shen Qi. Who knew that this new man that Shen Qi was with could purchase the entire mall without even batting an eyelash?
Her overbearing attitude frightened Shen Qi as Ye Moxuan grabbed her by her wrist and pulled her behind him before smirking. “Xiao Su.”
Xiao Su immediately went up and blocked her way.
“Listen here, you old hag! I’ll report you for harassment, making personal attacks as well as defamation claims if you get any closer to us!”
“W-what did you just call me?” Shi Qinbao was taken aback by what he said as she staggered backward while Lin Jiang rushed over to steady her. “Let’s go, baby.”
“I’m not leaving! Did you hear what he called me? I’m still young, so how could he—”
“Let’s just go!” Lin Jiang knew that they weren’t people that they should be offending as he grabbed Shi Qinbao and hurriedly pulled her away.
The onlookers started dispersing as the clerk trembled in her shoes.
It was over. She knew that the man wasn’t any ordinary man and she didn’t want to offend Shen Qi as well. However… things just somehow escalated to this.
The sales clerk’s legs gave in as she fell onto the ground with a dull thump.
Xiao Su smirked before walking over to her.
“Miss, we have checked the surveillance cameras. It was you who grabbed onto the accessories of the dress right before you fell. Just like what you’ve said, the price of this dress is around 300,000. So, it’s time to pay up.”
The sales clerk was sweating bullets by now.
Where could she find 300,000 to pay for the dress?
The clerk was stunned for a moment before she suddenly crawled over to Ye Moxuan’s feet.
“Young Master Ye! Young Master Ye, I really didn’t do it on purpose! It was her!” The clerk pointed at Shen Qi with wide eyes before accusing Shen Qi, “It was her who pushed me, causing me to grab onto the dress! It was an accident! Please forgive me, Young Master Ye!”
“Qi, what’s your verdict?”
Right as Shen Qi was still in a daze, Ye Moxuan’s gentle voice rang in her ears again.
