“Are you refusing to push me? In that case, why don’t I carry you home?”
Shen Qi’s cheeks flushed a deep red when she heard that, and she glared vehemently at Ye Moxuan.
What is this scoundrel planning now?
“There’s no need for that. We shall go our separate ways.”
“No,” Ye Moxuan replied before pursing his lips and staring at her unwaveringly. “You either come over here to push me, or I’ll pick you up and carry you home,” he threatened.
Shen Qi was rendered speechless by his response.
“I am giving you three seconds to make up your mind. You should know by now that I always get things done my way. If I want to pick you up, there’s nothing you can do to stop me,” he declared while glowering at her. His stare reminded Shen Qi of that of a wolf, which somehow gave her an illusion that she could not escape him.
“You!” Although Shen Qi was fuming, she believed that Ye Moxuan would get things his way in the end.
But what can I do? I don’t feel like pushing him in the wheelchair because I need to make a stand regarding our divorce!
When she thought of that, Shen Qi turned around and ran as quickly as she could before he could push his wheelchair any closer to her.
In any case, I have my legs, and I have to be faster than Ye Moxuan’s wheelchair, she thought to herself.
However, it was apparent that she had underestimated Ye Moxuan’s capabilities. She was running with all she had, and just when she thought that she had escaped Ye Moxuan’s evil grasp, a large hand snaked around her waist out of nowhere and picked her up. The next thing Shen Qi knew, her world was turning upside-down.
Shen Qi shrieked in shock, and she grabbed onto Ye Moxuan by his collar reflexively.

Shen Qi fell into Ye Moxuan’s arms, and she was overwhelmed by his masculine scent while she gasped for air.
“Didn’t I say that there are only two options? How dare you run away?” Ye Moxuan scolded her in a gravelly voice.
Shen Qi tried struggling in his arms. “Ye Moxuan, let go of me. I don’t need you to carry me back home, and I do not want to push you home as well. Why can’t we go back separately?”
“No way.” Ye Moxuan had a hand around her securely while his other arm pushed his wheelchair.
Although these movements seemed highly complicated and difficult, Ye Moxuan somehow managed them swiftly, as if it was effortless.
Shen Qi could sense how strong he was as well; sometimes, she thought that it was common to have a difference in strength between males and females, but Ye Moxuan was a cripple after all, and for some reason, his actions didn’t seem like a cripple or disabled person at all.
That included his strength, body built, and his undeniable aura and presence.
It didn’t feel like an ordinary crippled person!
“Ye Moxuan, are you aware of what’s going on? We are about to get a divorce!”
Shen Qi shoved against his chest while screaming furiously.
Ye Moxuan’s gaze darkened in anger at the mention of divorce. He smirked at her indifferently. “I told you before as well—you are my woman, be it alive or in death. Once the game starts, I am the only one with the right to stop the game, whereas you have no right to call for time-out. Hence, you will always belong to me. And as for the divorce?” He lowered his head and leered at her. “That’s impossible,” he hissed.
With that, Ye Moxuan scowled as he thought of something suddenly. “Where were you today?”
Shen Qi tried getting out of his grip, but to no avail because he had her pressed tightly against his chest. Finally, she ran out of strength and answered him impatiently, “Why should I tell you?”
“Do you not want to tell me? That’s fine; I’ll get Xiao Su to investigate later.”
Ye Moxuan stopped suddenly after declaring that. Then, he whipped his phone out and called Xiao Su before instructing him to investigate Shen Qi’s whereabouts for today.
Shen Qi was rendered speechless by his reaction, and she exclaimed in anger after he was done with the phone call, “Why are you such a domineering person? Am I not allowed some personal and private space?”
“Sure; in that case, you can tell me about it in person.” Ye Moxuan held her chin and looked down to meet her gaze. “You can have your space, but I’m your husband, so you have to tell me where you’ve been.”
“I will not tell you, Ye Moxuan. I just want a divorce.”
“I told you that it is impossible.” Ye Moxuan tightened his grip on her chin. “Don’t waste your efforts, for you are fated to mine.”
Shen Qi felt horrible. If he isn’t entangled with Han Xueyou, his words… would have made my heart race, and I would have blushed furiously.
But this is not the case right now, because after knowing about things between him and Han Xueyou, the feeling I have is different whenever he hugs and touches me. I just can’t help but resist him!
Nevertheless, Shen Qi was helpless when he did things forcibly. Thus in the end, he brought her home and back into the room.
There were countless things piled up in the room, and Ye Moxuan’s initially barren and simple room now looked rather lively with these items. His cold and stony heart started melting when he saw that, and he held onto Shen Qi’s hand unconsciously.
“Do you like the things I got you?”
Shen Qi had no interest in such things, and she couldn’t even be bothered to look at them. Ye Moxuan got me all those things just to shut me up because he doesn’t want me probing and asking about things.
When Shen Qi thought of that, she looked up at Ye Moxuan without answering his question.
Her gaze was icy-cold without the slightest hint of warmth, and Ye Moxuan’s heart sank when he saw that. “Do you not like it? In that case, what do you like? Tell me,” Ye Moxuan asked after pondering for a bit.
However, Shen Qi remained tight-lipped without answering him, and she continued staring back at him blankly.
After racking his brain, Ye Moxuan softened his tone. “Do you not like clothes and jewelry? Well, do you prefer chocolates and flowers?”
Xiao Su mentioned that, in general, no women could resist the charms of fresh flowers and chocolates, aside from properties, cars and bank cards.
Shen Qi burst out laughing before asking him incredulously, “Fresh flowers and chocolates?”
“Do you not like those things too?” Ye Moxuan asked with a frown. Xiao Su is truly unreliable; didn’t he say that no women could resist the charms of these stuff?
Upon that thought, Ye Moxuan added, “In that case, shall I buy you a property or a car? How about I give you a bank card without a spending limit?”
Shen Qi was rendered speechless by his reaction.
“Ye Moxuan, if my memory serves me right, when I just married into the Ye family, you thought that I am a vain woman who is after your riches. But now, here you are, presenting me with these things. Don’t you think that this is a ridiculous joke?”
Ye Moxuan frowned deeper when he heard that, and his lips were pursed into a thin line.
“Or do you truly think that I am that sort of woman to begin with, and that is why you thought you can buy me off with money? Should I be grateful for your generosity and kindness?”
What logic is that? Ye Moxuan had no idea what was going on in her mind, and so he continued glaring at her while looking upset.
“Stupid woman. Can’t you tell that I am trying to please you?”
Shen Qi looked startled, and she did not have a comeback for that. Hence, she turned to face Ye Moxuan while meeting his gaze.
In that instant, it felt as if she could see the entire galaxy and its shining stars in the depths of his eyes. His gaze was so bright that it reminded her of the milky way.

If I weren’t aware of his affair, I would most probably be moved by his words.
Unfortunately… Shen Qi chuckled while answering him in a quiet tone, “Ye Moxuan, you are just using these things to keep me quiet. Unfortunately, I am not that sort of woman. Money is significant to me, but it is not that important to me because I see them as external factors.”
“If so, what do you want?” Ye Moxuan asked with a stern expression, and he had an inkling that his attempts today were all for naught.
