She looked solemnly at Ye Moxuan and sniffed. “I did not come here because I wanted to. I was drugged and you saw that.”
Ye Moxuan was startled by her words.
She was explaining herself to him.
After the explanation, Shen Qi did not stay any longer. She moved past Ye Moxuan as she was ready to leave. Xiao Su hurriedly asked, “Young Lady Shen, where are you going?”
Shen Qi continued to move forward without saying anything.
Ye Linhan stood still and clenched his fists, resisting the urge to move forward.
He was holding it back because he could see the determination in Shen Qi’s eyes. If he rushed over now, then all her effort would be wasted.
Everybody was startled; the most startled were none other than Gao Yun and Cui Minli.
All this while, after Shen Qi was demoted, they used all kinds of tricks to frame and bully her. Previous attempts were unsuccessful, but this time they managed to hurt Shen Qi badly.
And… she was Ye Moxuan’s wife!

It never crossed their minds that Shen Qi would turn out to be Ye Moxuan’s wife. In that instant, they thought it was the end of the world.
Yan stood still, dumbfounded, as if one of her acupoints was struck.
After a while, she suddenly thought of something and turned to run toward the direction where Shen Qi disappeared.
“Xiao Su.”
Xiao Su regained his senses after being called out by Ye Moxuan. He turned Ye Moxuan’s wheelchair to the direction where Shen Qi left and chased after her.
Shen Qi dragged her weak body forward with her hand pressing against the wall. Everything she saw duplicated and she almost tripped herself several times.
“Qi!”
Yan rushed to her and held her up. “Are you okay?”
“Yan?” Upon hearing her voice, Shen Qi explained in a weak voice, “Sorry… I didn’t get to take pictures for you.”
“Why are you talking about this now?” Yan grabbed her arm. “Your body is burning! How dare Xu Liao drug you! Isn’t he aware that he’s ugly and unworthy of you? I’ll send you to the hospital now. Hold on!”
“Okay…” Shen Qi nodded her head as she leant on Yan’s body. Yan just got up from the water and the beads of water on her body hadn’t dried off, so her skin was cool and comfortable for Shen Qi to lean on.
Shen Qi felt much better and said, “Thank you.”
Yan was not used to the sensation as Shen Qi’s body was as hot as fire, but at the same time she felt sorry for Shen Qi. “There’s no need to thank me. Let’s hurry.”
“Hold on.”
After walking for a short distance, Xiao Su managed to catch up to them while pushing Ye Moxuan’s wheelchair.
“Young Lady Shen, let me send you to the hospital.”
Shen Qi was being helped by Yan when she glimpsed them. She noticed that Ye Moxuan had remained emotionless, so she refused to say anything.
“Move no further,” Ye Moxuan opened his thin lips and said.
Shen Qi didn’t stop, but on the other hand Yan unconsciously stopped moving.
There was no way around. She always had to succumb to Ye Moxuan’s dominance.
“Qi, why don’t… you let Young Master Ye send you to the hospital?”
“No.” Shen Qi shook her head and refused her request. “Let’s go.”
“Young Lady Shen, I’m afraid that she cannot send you to the hospital in her current state.”
Shen Qi only noticed that Yan was clad in a bikini after hearing what Xiao Su said. It was indeed inappropriate to go to the hospital wearing only a bikini…
Yan’s facial expression changed. “Oh no! I forgot to bring along my clothes as I was in a hurry to find you. Stay here and wait for me. I’ll come back in a minute!”
She let go of Shen Qi and turned to run as soon as she finished.
After she left, Shen Qi couldn’t even stand on her own. Her body leant against the wall and slid down slowly.
Ye Moxuan turned the wheelchair forward by himself and grasped her wrist. “Go to the hospital now.”
Ye Moxuan’s icy cold palm was shaken off the moment he grasped Shen Qi’s burning wrist. She stared at Ye Moxuan with hatred.
“I don’t need your pity.”
Ye Moxuan frowned and stared at her, displeased.
“Miss Second-marriage, what are you doing?”
Shen Qi slid down the wall slowly. Her eyelids felt heavy and she had no more strength to hold on.
“I said I don’t need your pity, and… you don’t trust me anyway.”
Just let me stay here and perish…
Ye Moxuan’s brows furrowed, and his heart started to burn by just looking at her. She had no idea how tempting she was in her current state. Her gaze was blurry, and her skin appeared pinkish; together with the broken dress on her body, Ye Moxuan could turn into a wolf anytime and pounce on her.
“Get up,” Ye Moxuan said in a domineering manner, “I’ll send you to the hospital.”
Shen Qi remained silent. Ye Moxuan moved forward and grabbed her, but Shen Qi refused to move, so he tightened his grip and pulled her closer to him, which caused Shen Qi to fall into his arms instantly.
“Let go of me! Let go of me! I don’t want you to send me to the hospital. I’m waiting for Yan!”
“Xiao Su, get the car.” Ye Moxuan gave Xiao Su the order, to which Xiao Su nodded and executed.
Ye Moxuan held Shen Qi’s waist with one hand and turned the wheelchair with another. “You’d better obey me or I will send you back to the hall and let everyone see how slutty you look now.”
Shen Qi’s pupils shrunk. “You!”
The next second, Ye Moxuan placed his hand on the back of her head and pressed it against his chest. “Shut up.”
He was fast in turning the wheelchair. When Yan rushed over while changing into her clothes, everyone had left.
She stood still for a while, dumbfounded, then scratched her head.
“Maybe… she was taken away by Young Master Ye. Since they’re married, I should let them handle their own matters then.”
Shen Qi was pushed into the car by Ye Moxuan. She was powerless and her burning body was entrapped by Ye Moxuan, so she couldn’t move a muscle. In her position, she was engulfed in the refreshing and masculine breath that exuded from Ye Moxuan’s body. It was a breath that drew her in, making her reach out her hands and hug Ye Moxuan unconsciously.
Shen Qi finally realized that she really… had fallen for this man.
They stayed together day in, day out.
He had a sharp tongue, and his words were as sharp as a knife that could slice her heart, but… he also did many things for her and stood up for her. Those were real.
No one had treated her as nicely as he had before.
She was touched, albeit involuntarily; she was touched by all the little things he did for her.

Sob… When the car door was closed, Ye Moxuan heard someone crying.
His heart ached. He lowered his head to look at Shen Qi who was in his arms, then he pinched her jaw, forcing her to look up at him. Shen Qi was drenched in tears.
Those tears on her face stirred his emotions.
“Why are you crying?” He reached out his hand and wiped the tears off the corners of her eyes roughly.
The skin around Shen Qi’s eyes turned red instantly as a result of his rough action.
