Everyone was stunned by what she said. Xiao Su cursed in anger, “How dare you drug someone in the company!”
Gao Yun almost burst into tears out of fear. “I’m sorry. This really has nothing to do with me. It’s Manager Xu who forced me to do it. He’s my higher-up, so I couldn’t disobey him!”
Xiao Su felt a fire rising in his chest. “Move faster! Do you want me to skin you?”
Gao Yun cried while leading them to turn a corner, then she stopped abruptly and stared at the front, stunned.
Xiao Su was pushing Ye Moxuan when he turned a corner and saw that scene as well, so he stopped immediately.
All of them were speechless and only Yan shouted out.
“Qi! V-Vice President Ye! Why are you here?”
Ye Linhan was holding Shen Qi in his arms; her eyes were closed with her face facing up. A slap mark could be clearly seen on her fair face and there were some bruises on her delicate neck.
The door was open and Xu Liao lay by the door motionless. He suffered multiple injuries on his face as his face was swollen, and beside him was a terrified Cui Minli.
When she saw Gao Yun, she moved to come over. Then she saw Ye Moxuan who was not far away, so she stopped right away.
Shen Qi was still clad in the red dress, but the fabric on it was now broken, obviously torn up by someone before. Fortunately, her body was covered with a big male jacket.
Ye Linhan held the petite Shen Qi in his arms. The effects of the drug were too strong, so Ye Linhan decided to knock her out.

“I can see that you’re protecting her well.”
“But she’s your wife!” seeing the indifference in Ye Moxuan’s eyes, Ye Linhan felt sorry for Shen Qi and bellowed angrily.
Ye Moxuan’s gaze was bottomless.
“So what? I don’t want a woman who always sleeps with other men.”
“You!”
The normally elegant and gentle Ye Linhan was now out of control in anger. If he was not holding Shen Qi in his arms, he would have rushed forward, grabbed his collar and given him some punches.
Suddenly, Shen Qi moved in his arms as she was whispering something half-consciously. When he leaned in to listen carefully, the name Ye Moxuan was heard clear and crisp.
His pupils shrank in an instant and he turned to look at Ye Moxuan.
Her voice was soft and featherly, with a hint of grievance, as though she was crying for help. Her eyes did not open, obviously acting the way she was subconsciously.
“You heard that?” Ye Moxuan’s gaze was as sharp as a knife. “She’s calling out your name.”
That voice was like a hand that snatched his heart as his eyes narrowed dangerously.
“But where were you when she needed help?”
A faint sense of guilt flashed in his eyes as his lips opened. “Give her to me.”
“Moxuan, I don’t want to meddle in your business, but…” Ye Linhan hugged Shen Qi closer as he spoke, his voice as cold as ice. “If you cannot protect her well, then I suggest that you divorce with her.”
After he finished, he lifted Shen Qi off the ground and turned to leave.
“Vice President Ye!” Xiao Su shouted out to him before he could move. “What are you talking about? She’s Young Master Ye’s wife. Please put her down!”
“I’m sorry, but I will get her treated. If you guys really want to save her, follow me.”
“You…” Xiao Su said.
Ye Linhan walked away in big strides.
Xiao Su anxiously looked at Ye Moxuan. “Young Master Ye!”
Ye Moxuan’s face remained cold and did not say anything.
“Young Master Ye!”
Ye Linhan moved forward with Shen Qi in his arms, but stopped after a few steps, because Shen Qi, who was half-conscious, suddenly held tightly onto his shirt. “P-Put me down.”
“Shen Qi?” Ye Linhan frowned and looked at her, displeased.
“Put me down.” Shen Qi begged him for another time. She gathered all her strength to open her eyes, looking straight at Ye Linhan.
Her cold gaze was now as red as blood. Because she was drugged, her body appeared pinkish, making her look tender and delicate. He had no choice but to knock her out just now. But now that she’s awake, does that mean she’s going to act up again?
“Don’t move.” Ye Linhan whispered to her. “You’re drugged. I’m sending you to the hospital.”
Shen Qi shook her head. “I’m not going to the hospital.”
Her voice was low, but she was adamant.
“Must you stay? Even if… he doesn’t care about you, must you stay?” After asking that question, his heart was filled with hatred. He regretted voicing his support to their marriage in front of their grandpa.
Now she’s suffering as a result of his action.
“Yeah.”
Shen Qi held firmly onto his shirt. “Please put me down, else… there’ll be more misunderstanding between him and me.”
“I don’t…” Shen Qi’s forehead was beaded with cold sweat as she struggled to speak. “Want him to misunderstand me any further…”
As though his legs were filled with lead, he didn’t move. But at the same time, his hands locked her in like a chain, refusing to put her down.
“Linhan…” she begged in a choked voice, her eyes drenched in tears.
Ye Linhan’s heart softened. He couldn’t do anything but put her down and help her stand firmly on the ground.
“Must you stay? You have to understand that you’re drugged. If you don’t get treated in time…”
“I know.” Shen Qi nodded her head. “I know…”
But so what? If she left with Ye Linhan tonight, that would be too big of a misunderstanding.

Then, the corners of his lips curled when he sneered, “Who says she must get treated because she’s drugged? Since you like her so much, why don’t you help her out?”
“Ye Moxuan!”
Ye Linhan was furious. When he was about to move forward, he was stopped by Shen Qi.
Shen Qi grabbed the hem of her shirt. Then step by step, she moved toward Ye Moxuan.
“I did not sleep with other men.”
