Tang Yuanyuan’s phone was running out of power, so she could only look for her charger in the drawer beside her to charge her phone first. Worn out after a long day, she soon fell asleep not long after she put her phone to charge. She didn’t have the time to think about anything else.
That night, Tang Yuanyuan had a dream. In her dream, she returned to the moment when she was in high school with Meng Kefei, where the two were happy and worry-free. They were very close friends and would often hangout to get bubble tea, eat barbeque or sometimes even for a movie show.
Soon, there seemed to be a plot twist where Meng Kefei suddenly pushed her away. “Tang Yuanyuan, from this day onward, we are no longer close friends!”
“Why not?” Tang Yuanyuan didn’t understand the reason, so she asked anxiously in her dream. However, Meng Kefei never gave her an answer. Her figure which turned around and left ruthlessly seemed to be extremely decisive, and she never turned back to take a look when she left.
Tang Yuanyuan tried to run after her, but she could not catch up. She could only watch Meng Kefei’s figure disappear before her eyes.
Tang Yuanyuan’s heart was still thumping the moment she woke up from the dream. The tear in the corner of her eye dropped on the pillow which was already wet. Feeling depressed, Tang Yuanyuan took a glance out the window and found that the sky was almost bright.
She sat blankly for a moment before she took her phone to check the time. It was six in the morning. It turned out that she had slept for so long. Tang Yuanyuan checked her texts and realized that Meng Kefei did not send her any message yet. Their latest text was still the previous conversation that they had. No, I still don’t understand what happened. I need to ask Meng Kefei why she did that to me.
Tang Yuanyuan opened her chat history with Meng Kefei, but when she opened it, she realized there was a whole series of messages that she sent without receiving a reply, and she suddenly decided to dismiss her idea.
In fact, regardless of friendship or love, it would never be enough if only one party was making the contribution. Meng Kefei had already made it clear that she did not want to be her close friend anymore. If Tang Yuanyuan continued to text her, wouldn’t she be pestering Meng Kefei?

Tang Yuanyuan even invited Meng Kefei to her 18th birthday celebration and designed a dress for her. However, Meng Kefei left like a wind after she came. She didn’t even want to be Tang Yuanyuan’s close friend anymore. As Tang Yuanyuan was about to send her a message to ask what was going on, she realized that Meng Kefei had already blocked her contact. Wait, did she just block my contact or did she delete it?
Tang Yuanyuan didn’t want to give up, so she sent a text. ‘Fei?’
The system rejected her text, indicating that Meng Kefei had deleted Tang Yuanyuan’s contact, and Tang Yuanyuan had to send a friend request to Meng Kefei before she could send a text. Wasn’t this the epitome of a dire disappointment?
It was probably what Tang Yuanyuan felt at that exact moment. When Tang Yuanyuan saw the notification from the system, she lost all hope and faith. However, she didn’t have the thought of crying. She just sat there and held her phone blankly. Maybe, this was the ending that Meng Kefei wanted.
The only thing that she could do at the moment was to stop pestering her. Tang Yuanyuan closed her eyes and continued lying on the bed.
Around eight in the morning, she heard a sound coming from outside of her door. Tang Yuanyuan heard the sound clearly because she wasn’t asleep. She thought Yuchi Yishu would have given a knock on the door, but what she heard next was nothing but silence.
At this moment, her phone rang, and it was a text from Yishu. ‘I left the things hanging on the door. Let me know when you’re up. We’ll have breakfast together.’
Tang Yuanyuan immediately got up from her bed after reading the text. She then went to open the door barefoot and saw a few bags of things on the side of the door. There was no one standing next to them. It was quiet outside.
Tang Yuanyuan carried the bags into her room and opened them one by one. In addition to some outdoor outfits, there were some form fitting undergarments, new shoes, hair ties, and skin care products. Everything came in sets. However, Tang Yuanyuan was thinking that it was probably a hassle for him to buy her form fitting undergarments because he wouldn’t know whether they would fit her.
She took the clothes and tried them on one by one, and she found that those form fitting undergarments were active wear style. In this case, it would probably fit her well. Tang Yuanyuan’s face flushed at that thought. Her cheeks were still burning after she tried them on. She pursed her lips, kept the other things in a corner, and opened the door to go out.
When Tang Yuanyuan left the room, she heard the sound of people talking while she closed the door. As she walked over, she saw Yuchi Yishu coming in from the entrance. “You’re awake?”
“Yishu.”
Yuchi Yishu took a glance at Tang Yuanyuan’s outfit. She was wearing a white sports skirt, along with a sports shoe. She looked refreshing and pleasant in that outfit.
“Not bad, seems like my effort to go and get you some clothes early in the morning was not put to waste.”
Tang Yuanyuan pursed her lips and asked softly, “You were the one who went to get them?”
“Who else would be the one that helped you to buy?”
His words made sense. Yishu was the only one who would deliberately buy them for her. Tang Yuanyuan initially thought he ordered it and asked someone to deliver them. “No one. I was just wondering who would open their stores so early in the morning.”
“Some stores start their business earlier than the others, so there’s still a way for me to get them. Are you hungry? Come and have breakfast.”
Yuchi Yishu gave a pat on the back of her head and said, “Let’s continue the topic after breakfast.”
Tang Yuanyuan followed him to the dining table for breakfast. There was a whole variety of food on the table bought by Yuchi Yishu. They were nutritionally balanced.
Tang Yuanyuan had planned to only eat a little, but Yuchi Yishu mentioned, “Eating too little would affect our growth development. You are already very skinny, and you want to continue losing weight?”
Hearing his words, Tang Yuanyuan blushed. “But if I don’t control my intake, I will gain weight again, and it will only continue to go on.” Tang Yuanyuan had to work hard to lose weight, so she had a physique that would get fat easily. She didn’t dare to eat more, or else she would gain weight again, and her previous effort would be put to waste.
“It’s okay to gain some weight,” Yuchi Yishu said while he continued to shove food onto her plate. Tang Yuanyuan frowned when she saw it. “Yishu, that’s enough. I’m really full.”
“You haven’t reached the normal standard intake. Be a good girl and don’t always force yourself to eat less just to lose weight.”
“But…” Tang Yuanyuan looked at him aggrievedly. “No one would want me if I’m too fat.”
Hearing that, Yuchi Yishu paused for a moment and turned his gaze toward Tang Yuanyuan’s fair face. “Who said so?” After saying that, he pondered for a moment and raised the corner of his lips. “If there is really no one who wants you, I’ll reluctantly take you as mine.”
Tang Yuanyuan was dumbfounded. His words seemed slightly reluctant, but Tang Yuanyuan stood up in excitement when she heard it. “Yishu, are you being serious?”
Yuchi Yishu was taken aback by her response. He didn’t expect her to have such a strong reaction.
“Are you really willing to do so?” Tang Yuanyuan stopped eating her breakfast, and she immediately walked toward him. “If I really couldn’t find someone, you shall…”
