How long? Even if it had been a long time, there was also no need to cry about it?
But seeing Tang Yuanyuan cry uncontrollably, the server could not ask anymore and went back to get a pack of tissue for her.
“This is for you. Wipe your tears.”
When Tang Yuanyuan saw the tissue, she gave a look of gratitude.
“Thank you.”
She grabbed a piece and wiped the tears off her face. In the end, the more she wiped, the more tears came out. She just continued to drink her milk tea as she cried.
People around her looked at the strange scene and shot her judgmental looks. If it had been under normal circumstances, she would have felt humiliated. But she was so sad that day that she did not care about what she looked like to others.
After drinking several cups, she felt like she was unable to drink any more. Not only that, she felt like she was about to throw up.
Looking up, she asked through tear-filled eyes, “Sorry, excuse me. May I know where the restroom is?”
The restroom?
Someone held her arm and lifted her up, then said in a sullen voice, “I’ll take you there.”
Tang Yuanyuan followed that person forward in a dazed state. After walking for a bit, she suddenly felt like something was not right.
Why did that voice sound so familiar? It sounded like—
Just then, her stomach churned. The restroom was not too far away from her. She did not have time to look back at the person as she quickly sprinted toward the restroom.
Bang!
The door to the restroom shut and she started to throw up into the sink.
She did not know how much milk tea she drank exactly, but she knew that she drank until she reached her limit and felt like throwing up. At that moment, milk tea did not taste that good anymore.
I don’t think I’ll ever think about milk tea again.
That day, Tang Yuanyuan threw up in the restroom until it was dark outside. By the end of it, she was completely worn out. Maybe because she also felt miserable on the inside, she did not want to open her eyes or go back out even after she finished throwing up. She just sat down on a ledge in the restroom.
With her eyes closed, she continued to let the tears fall out.
Her heart was in so much pain. It was the first time she had felt heart ache. Before this, she only saw it in television dramas and even found it strange. What was so upsetting? Why were they so sad?
Now that she was experiencing it herself, she finally got to know what it felt like.
She buried her head into her knees and felt like she was about to fall asleep.
When it became quiet for a while, the restroom door opened and heavy footsteps were heard. The footsteps walked toward her and stopped right in front of her.
Yuchi Yishu saw Tang Yuanyuan bundled up into a ball and it crumpled his heart up into a ball too. He wanted to tap her with his hand, but he was also scared of frightening her so he pulled his hand back.
A while later, he called out gently, “Yuanyuan, let’s go home.”
There was no response.
“Yuanyuan?”
She still did not answer him.
After a moment of hesitation, he reached out and held her in his arms. Tang Yuanyuan fell straight into his arms with her eyes closed.
That was when he realized that she had fallen asleep.
Her eyes and nose were red, and there were still tear stains on her face—the sight of which was heartbreaking.
The most heartbreaking part was how she fell asleep in there. How badly did she throw up?
Looking at her for a while, Yuchi Yishu let out a sigh in his heart.
She can’t even let me not worry about her for one day.
He carefully lifted her up in his arms and strode outside. Upon seeing him, the server went up and asked, “May I ask who you are?”
He replied softly, “Her brother.”
The server wanted to say more but was pulled back by her colleague.
“This isn’t a bar, and she drank milk tea, not alcohol. She’s not being taken away, unaware, by some stranger, so you can just leave her be.”
Her colleague seemed to make sense, so the server did not try to stop him anymore. He then swiftly carried her away and put her in the backseat of the car.
Several of the servers inside could not help but sigh as they watched the whole thing.
“This guy isn’t just handsome, but also so gentle with his sister,” she whimpered. “I want to be his sister.”
“Can’t you see the bigger picture? What’s the point of being his sister? Don’t you want to be the wife to a man like that?”
“Come on; it already takes a lot to be his sister. I probably won’t ever get a chance even after several lifetimes, so let’s not talk about being his wife.”
She sighed. “You’re right. For people like us, it’s better to just watch.”

Back at the Tang residence, Mrs. Tang was very happy that day because her daughter had gone out in high spirits to meet Yuchi Yishu. She was very pleased with him. If she could have him as a son-in-law, she would not oppose.
Mrs. Tang was glad that Yuanyuan was willing to develop her relationship further with him.
However, she did not expect that shortly after leaving the house, Tang Yuanyuan would be carried home by Yuchi Yishu.
She approached them warily.
“Shh.” He signaled to her to stay quiet, so she did not say anything. After taking one look at Yuanyuan, she turned around and led the way.
He followed Mrs. Tang to Tang Yuanyuan’s room and put her down. Even after Tang Yuanyuan was on her bed, she still did not wake up and just kept her eyes shut.
Seeing her daughter asleep, Mrs. Tang whispered, “What happened?”
He turned to leave the room, and Mrs. Tang followed suit.
Once they were outside, the two people finally had a chance to converse properly.
“What happened? I thought you guys were going to the amusement park? Why are you guys back so early? How did Yuanyuan end up falling asleep?”
“Um, she drank too much milk tea, felt uncomfortable, and threw up.” He described the scene that he witnessed for himself earlier.
Mrs. Tang was dumbfounded. “She drank milk tea? And even threw up? How did that happen? That girl has been trying hard to lose weight these days so she hasn’t had milk tea in a long time. Why did she think of drinking it out of nowhere today? And she drank so much as well. That sure is worrying.”
Regardless of what Mrs. Tang said, Yuchi Yishu remained silent after that. At first, she was still quite worried. However, a thought suddenly occurred to her and her expression shifted as she looked at Yuchi Yishu.
“Let her sleep through the night for now. You should go back.”
Mrs. Tang nodded her head silently.
After he left, she returned to the room.
“He’s gone. You can stop pretending and get up now.”
Tang Yuanyuan kept her eyes shut and did not move. As she lay there, the tears suddenly streamed down her face.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Tang did not notice this. She just saw that Tang Yuanyuan was still not moving and pestered, “How much longer are you going to keep pretending? What really happened today?”
In return, she heard muffled sobs.
She quickly looked over at Tang Yuanyuan’s face. Before she had time to react, Tang Yuanyuan sat up and reached out to her.
“Mom!”
Tang Yuanyuan was in tears as she reached out to Mrs. Tang. At the same time, Mrs. Tang froze in place after being hugged by her sobbing daughter.
“What is this? You were fine just before. Why are you crying like this now?”
