After thinking about it, Tang Yuanyuan still decided to leave first.
She separated from the lively group of people beside her without the two of them noticing.
When she got out of the amusement park, she suddenly felt like laughing from the feeling of emptiness inside.
I actually thought Yishu would like me.
After closing her eyes for a moment, she opened his wallet once again and took out the photo from inside, and placed it in her own wallet.

“I was curious why you invited me out so suddenly. After all, everyone knows that I, Wen Jingrou, like you, but you, Yuchi Yishu, don’t like me.”
“Now…” Wen Jingrou looked in a certain direction and smirked. “I think I know why.”
She said bluntly, “You like your sister, don’t you?”
The way she said that made him frown. “Not my biological sister.”
“Of course I know you aren’t biologically related. But you guys are childhood friends who grew up together and she just got used to calling you her brother. Did you think I wouldn’t know? I like you so I know everything about you, including about Tang Yuanyuan. How else did you think I found her school the last time?”
Yuchi Yishu was rendered speechless.
“I asked you if you liked her just now, but you didn’t deny it and even corrected me to say that she isn’t your biological sister.”
Her words were extremely sharp.
He had not said anything yet but the tips of his fingers on either side of him started to tremble as his emotions became complicated.
“Since you’re so sure about who has your attention, why did you still drag me out here?” Wen Jingrou looked slightly disappointed. “Before I came here, I thought all my efforts were finally coming through. I didn’t think it would be so short-lived. Oh no; I shouldn’t say short-lived since there wasn’t anything to start with.”
“Fine.” She smiled. “If it were anybody else, I might think there was something wrong with your eyes. But if it’s Tang Yuanyuan, then I will accept my defeat. This relationship built from childhood is not something that just anyone can replace.”
A lot of childhood friends who grew up together, except if they did not meet the other person’s standards, would end up liking each other. As time went on, their feelings for each other would only grow deeper.
But that only applied if they had feelings for each other. If they did not, then none of this would matter.
However, Wen Jingrou was able to see how Yuchi Yishu felt about Tang Yuanyuan and dismissed her own thoughts from her mind.
Once she finished speaking, she looked at the Ferris wheel that had completed its round a long time ago. She pondered, then asked, “Are you worried that she doesn’t really like you and is only relying on you?”

“What did you say?” His expression changed. “Why didn’t you tell me earlier?”

He fell silent for a moment. “Thanks a lot.”
Then, he turned around and walked off very quickly. The smile on her face faded as she stood where she was and watched his back with a clenched jaw.
“D*mn it. He’s such a great guy. After meeting someone like him, how would I ever find a partner in the future?”

After Tang Yuanyuan left the amusement park, she kept walking forward in no particular direction.
She did not know how long she walked for either. When she looked up, she saw a milk tea shop in front of her. Without a second thought, she walked in.
“Hello. What would you like to have?”
“Milk tea.”
“Sure; please wait for a moment.”
“Wait,” she called out to the server. With a dull expression, she said, “I want ten cups.”
The look on the server’s face hardened. “Ten cups? For takeaway?”
“No, I’m going to drink it here.”
With that, she handed over the money. “Thank you.”
Upon seeing the money being handed over, the server explained awkwardly, “That’s not what I meant. I was just wondering if you can finish all ten cups.”
“I should be able to.”
“Okay then; I’ll get them ready for you.”
While Tang Yuanyuan waited for the milk tea, she lowered her head and stared at the table.
I stayed away from milk tea and chocolate this whole time so I could approach Yishu with my best self. But?
It turns out I’ve been delusional about everything.
No matter how much I change, if he doesn’t like me then he doesn’t like me. If he does like me, then he shouldn’t mind what I look like, right?
