It’s the lady I met last time.
She said she was Yishu’s friend and invited me to her birthday party.
But Yishu came to the party later and took me away. The atmosphere did not seem too good at the time.
Why is she here again today?
When the car stopped, Tang Yuanyuan asked in a small voice, “Yishu, is she the person you were going to pick up today?”
“Yes.”
Once Tang Yuanyuan got a definite answer, the enthusiasm she felt as she left the house earlier seemed to have been doused with a bucket of cold water.
For some reason, she suddenly felt ashamed and her ears started to ring.
“Hi.”
Wen Jingrou spotted Yuchi Yishu’s car before it arrived. When she opened the passenger seat door, she saw Tang Yuanyuan sitting at the back. “Oh! Yuanyuan is here too.”
Tang Yuanyuan was in a daze and did not give a response or even a hello.
Only when Wen Jingrou was sitting in the passenger seat did Tang Yuanyuan realize her own hands were shaking.
Yishu didn’t let me sit in the passenger seat today because of her?
Wen Jingrou looked exceptionally fashionable at that moment—she wore a racy tank top and a mini skirt, along with a pair of heels. She had her long hair in attractive loose curls and had a feminine look overall.
When Tang Yuanyuan looked in the mirror before, she thought she had dressed up well that day. But after seeing Wen Jingrou’s thin waist, slender arms, and small thighs, she was suddenly aware of how much of a mess she looked like.
She still thought she looked good. But compared to Wen Jingrou, she looked really childish.
I’m not feminine at all. How can I compare to her?
Most importantly, that passenger seat was always mine and no other woman has ever sat there.
But today…
Tang Yuanyuan was stunned; her limbs were frozen, and her body was no longer responsive. Her vision kept going back and forth between light and dark.
“What do you want to do at the amusement park today, Yuanyuan? I happen to have time today so I’ll play with you, okay?”
“Yuanyuan?”
Tang Yuanyuan found her voice again after a long time. She nodded her head and forced out, “Okay.”
Wen Jingrou’s eyes dimmed when she saw a pale Tang Yuanyuan through the rearview mirror.
But she quickly let out a smile again.
“Let’s go then.”
Yuchi Yishu also saw the change in Tang Yuanyuan very clearly. He was alarmed and saddened at the same time.
By the time the car arrived at the amusement park, the back of Tang Yuanyuan’s dress was drenched as she had broken out into a cold sweat. While she tried her best to hold it together throughout the whole drive, she felt uneasy and lightheaded now.
Wen Jingrou did not seem to notice anything. She opened the door for Tang Yuanyuan and even went to hold her hand.
On that hot summer day, Wen Jingrou realized that Tang Yuanyuan’s hand was cold as though she had just come out of winter. She asked gently, “Do you want me to buy you a cup of hot milk tea?”
At the mention of hot milk tea, Tang Yuanyuan could not stop herself from looking at her.
Did she notice something different about me? I must look so humiliating right now.
Tang Yuanyuan shook her head. “No need. It’s better to drink iced milk tea in summer.”
“How is iced better? It’s not good for a woman’s body. Wait here; I’ll go buy you a cup,” Wen Jingrou said then turned around to go buy milk tea for Tang Yuanyuan.
Tang Yuanyuan stood where she was without saying anything and lowered her eyes.
Looking at her lowered head, Yuchi Yishu felt like someone had numbed his heart and it made it hard for him to breathe.
He cleared his throat. Going up to her, he asked in a quiet voice, “Is it hot? How about we just call it a day?”
“No.” Tang Yuanyuan raised her head, then smiled as she shook it. “I want to play. I waited for this day for a long time.”
“Huh?”
“Yeah, I really like amusement parks.”
He noticed that her voice was not as energetic as before and was even trembling slightly. Nonetheless, she still held a smile on her face.
“Yishu, thank you for bringing me here today.”
He did not respond.
“Yishu, can I go buy the tickets first? I really can’t wait anymore. Why don’t you wait here for Jingrou?”
He nodded. “Okay.”
He felt like if he did not agree, she would start crying in front of him.
His feelings were complicated. He did not think that she had actually been hiding her feelings for him. It’s my fault for not noticing earlier.
As soon as Yuchi Yishu agreed, she immediately turned around and walked away.
“Yuanyuan.”
His voice came from behind her.
She paused in her tracks. With her eyes wide open, she turned back around to look at him.
“What’s the matter, Yishu?”
He pressed his wallet into her hand. “You didn’t bring any money, did you? Here.”
“Oh. Okay.”
She nodded her head like a robot. “I’m going now.”
“Go on.”
Tang Yuanyuan smiled as she brought his wallet along with her and headed into the amusement park. She walked with her back straight up for a while and her eyes still stuck in her head.
She went to buy the tickets like she said she would. Initially, she wanted to ride the merry-go-round, but now, she felt like going on the Ferris wheel instead.
So she went to get a ticket for the Ferris wheel.
When she opened his wallet to pay, she found a photo inside.
It was a family photo taken at Yishu’s house at an earlier time. Because Tang Yuanyuan was always with them, she was also in that photo.
Other than Yuchi Yishu, Little Sprout, Ye Moxuan, and Han Muzi, Tang Yuanyuan was also there.
Tang Yuanyuan and Little Sprout were on each of Yuchi Yishu’s sides. On the left was his biological sister, and on the right was Tang Yuanyuan, whom he had grown up with. Yishu probably treats me the same way he treats Little Sprout.

Tears fell on the wallet. Tang Yuanyuan reached out abruptly to wipe it as she was afraid that it would leave a stain. Then, she looked up and paid for the ticket.
“I’m fine.”
With that, she took the ticket and walked away.
Once she got in the Ferris wheel, she looked at the photo again and her vision started to grow blurry.
She was so naïve to think of losing all that weight first. In reality, Yuchi Yishu would have gotten a girlfriend before then.
Even if he did not find a girlfriend, she was definitely not his type.
Tang Yuanyuan put the wallet away. When she got to the highest point of the Ferris wheel, she started to weep. She kept wiping away her tears, and her eyes were alarmingly red.
She was completely unaware that all of her makeup had been wiped off.
After she got down from the Ferris wheel, Yuchi Yishu and Wen Jingrou were already waiting for her at the side.
From a distance, the both of them looked incredibly good standing next to each other.
Wen Jingrou is beautiful indeed. Her features are exquisite and she has a nice figure. She can be considered a perfect match for Yishu. It’s not something a fat shortie like me can even dream about.
They still had not noticed Tang Yuanyuan. Wen Jingrou was talking to Yuchi Yishu about something and the corners of her lips were curled up into a smile the whole time.
Suddenly, Tang Yuanyuan did not want to go to them anymore. She felt like it was only right that she quietly snuck away.
