Regarding the incident involving Meng Kefei, the two would have denied it if this conversation took place previously.
But now that the ship had sailed, and all three of them had already put everything out there, things could not get any worse.
So, it was not difficult for Zhang Xiaolu to admit it.
“What are you going to do if it was us? She has already taken everything by herself. Do you think you can bring it up again?”
The mere speculation of Tang Yuanyuan had proven to be right, and she went from being disgusted to being provoked.
“She’s been relying so much on you and never thought about if she is even worthy to be your friend. Besides, she even talked behind our back to you. That was why we decided to give her a little lesson. I have to say that she’s pretty easy to be dealt with as she has not done anything else since then.”
“You guys are horrible!” Tang Yuanyuan clenched her fists and went up to Zhang Xiaolu, getting ready to slap her. This would be Tang Yuanyuan’s first time getting physically involved with anyone.

Not expecting to be slapped by Tang Yuanyuan, Yuan Yuehan reckoned that Zhang Xiaolu would probably make a scene tonight given how strong and harsh a person she was.
To Yuan Yuehan’s surprise, instead of acting out, Zhang Xiaolu flashed a smile and pushed Tang Yuanyuan to the bed, yelling, “What do you think you’re doing? I was hoping you could see who your bestie is. Is your bestie supposed to leave you and stop talking to you the moment she’s being threatened?”
Tang Yuanyuan did not respond.
“Didn’t you realize that she had been avoiding you lately? Is she your bestie? And why are you still helping someone like that? Has she ever helped you?”
“Of course.” Tang Yuanyuan sounded firm. “You were the ones who started this. You guys threatened and hurt her, but she never told me that it was you guys who did it. She took everything by herself just so that she wouldn’t need to trouble me.”
Tang Yuanyuan could still recall the time when Meng Kefei passed out because of the injury, and the troubled look on the doctor’s face when the doctor was trying to talk about her condition at the hospital. This was all Zhang Xiaolu and Yuan Yuehan’s doing.
Meanwhile, Meng Kefei had never said anything while she tried to distance herself from Tang Yuanyuan. Nevertheless, Tang Yuanyuan could understand why Meng Kefei did all these.
“Look at how nicely you think of her. What if I told you that she was the one who told everyone that you and Yuchi Yishu were not biological siblings and that you fell in love with him. Would you still think the same of her?”
Tang Yuanyuan was stunned.
“Isn’t that surprising to hear? Your ‘bestie’ has been constantly providing information about you to us.”
Tang Yuanyuan remembered the time when she embarrassingly told Meng Kefei not to tell anyone about this and to treat this as their secret.
To that end, Meng Kefei promised her.

“Did you guys trick her into it? Or did you guys pressure her into saying those things?”

Tang Yuanyuan remained silent.

Tang Yuanyuan ignored her before she turned to the door and remembered that Kefei went to the library to pick up some belongings. Why isn’t she back yet? Is she in trouble?
Then, Tang Yuanyuan decided to go and take a look.
After she had left, Yuan Yuehan looked at the slap mark on Zhang Xiaolu’s face. “Aren’t you upset? How could she just slap you like that?”
“Of course, I am.” Zhang Xiaolu gnashed her teeth in anger. “But what can we do? We are nothing compared to her family background. If I fought back and agitated her, I don’t know what she would do.”
“I don’t think she would do anything. Anyway, I have a suggestion. If we really want to get on her good side, we are left with one choice.”
“What is that?”
“To get close to Meng Kefei and use her to help us get closer to Tang Yuanyuan.”
“Huh?”
“Can’t you tell from our conversations earlier how much she trusts Meng Kefei? She would unconditionally accept whatever Meng Kefei did and would even find excuses for her to believe them.”
Upon hearing her explanation, Zhang Xiaolu agreed with her.
“So, as long as we can rebuild our friendship with Meng Kefei, things will be fine.”
“Rebuild our friendship? Do you think she’s going to accept us after what we did to her?”
“That’s why we have to admit to her that we are wrong, promise to turn over a new leaf and apologize to her. We might need to scheme ourselves out of it.”
Having heard this, Yuan Yuehan subconsciously swallowed.
“That means we have to go through what we put her through.”
Zhang Xiaolu froze.
At this moment, Tang Yuanyuan walked down the stairs and was delighted to run into Meng Kefei.

“It’s all my fault, Fei. I got you involved in this, but you should’ve told me the truth. You can’t possibly remain silent and bear everything yourself.”
Meng Kefei sneered.
“What else can I do? Tell you about it and trouble you?”
“Aren’t we besties? How would this trouble me? Since I got you involved, I should be responsible for what happened.”
“It’s fine.” Meng Kefei shook her head. “It’s been a long time. You should try to get along with them so that they don’t go after you.”
“But I’m not afraid of that.”
Tang Yuanyuan held her by her arms. “I’m worried that you will be hurt. How about this: let’s do everything together in the future. I promise I won’t ever let them touch you again.”
“Everything?”
Meng Kefei stared at her. “Are you going to stop losing weight?”
Tang Yuanyuan paused. Before she could say anything, Meng Kefei continued, “Alright. I know you’re worried about me, but please be assured that they probably won’t do anything to me anymore.”
