Ye Linhan looked at Shen Qi with gentle eyes and an encouraging smile. He couldn’t help but silently compliment her.
It seemed like this girl wasn’t as helpless as he had imagined.
He spoke promptly, “Supervisor Xu, you keep complaining that she lacks ability. I didn’t know that you didn’t even give her a chance to explain. What if I acted hastily like you and doubted your ability as well?”
Xu Liao started to shudder. Now that Vice President Ye had spoken, what should he do?
Xu Liao looked at Ye Moxuan.
Ye Moxuan stared coldly at Shen Qi while she was still printing the documents orderly and progressively, calm and composed.
Subconsciously, Ye Moxuan glanced at Ye Linhan. When he noticed that Ye Linhan was gazing at that woman smilingly, rage sparked in his heart again. Then, he sneered. “You played petty tricks on the first day of your demotion and argued that you didn’t have a chance to explain yourself even when you actually have. “Your first quarter bonus will be deducted.”
Ye Moxuan’s eyes were icy and merciless when he looked at Shen Qi and Xu Liao.
“Ye Group doesn’t need someone who tries to be clever and plays petty tricks in front of me. If it happens again, you’ll be kicked out of the company.”
Under Ye Moxuan’s cold and stern gaze, Xu Liao couldn’t even stand upright. Coupled with Ye Moxuan’s coercive words, he even started to sweat all over.
Ever since Shen Qi married him, he had always behaved this way so she was used to it now. Therefore, she looked a lot calmer compared to Xu Liao’s ashen face.
While he was speaking, she had printed out all the documents and sorted it into a folder before distributing it to everyone.
“I’m distributing the project’s document to all of you now. Please have a look.”
Although Shen Qi couldn’t understand why the most common staff had the authority to manage such an important document, she wasn’t in the place to inquire.
Perhaps this was a challenge intentionally set by Ye Moxuan to make things hard for her.
The meeting was conducted smoothly later on despite the ten minutes of interruption in the beginning. It seemed like Shen Qi had gotten used to her previous role. After she was done with the documents, she even made everyone coffee and was proficient throughout the whole process.
After the meeting ended, everyone left progressively. Yet, Shen Qi didn’t rush to leave.
Xu Liao ordered in a low tone, “Come out with me!”
Shen Qi didn’t reply to him and looked at the man on the wheelchair instead.
Although she was demoted, she still wished to tell him that she honestly didn’t mean what she said that day.
“Newcomer, did you hear me?” Xu Liao’s threatening voice rang behind her ears. Shen Qi came back to her senses and realized that he was too near her. Feeling disgusted, she took a few steps to the side. “Supervisor, you leave first. I still have something to do.”
Upon hearing that, Xu Liao asked, “What are you going to do? Staying back to rat on me?”
Shen Qi felt helpless after hearing that. “I won’t do such dishonesty. I’m staying back for private matters.”
Private matters? Xu Liao clenched his teeth. “You’re not allowed to settle private matters during working hours. You’re now under my department so you must listen to me.”
After that, he pulled hard at Shen Qi’s hand. Once he grabbed her arm, he realized that her skin was as delicate and as soft as a baby. After a pause, he couldn’t help but glance at her.
“Let me go!” Shen Qi swung his hand away with all her might. Xu Liao was enchanted by that tender touch he felt just now. At this moment, he coughed. “Fine. I’ll wait for you outside. Make it quick.”
After that, Xu Liao left.
When most of the people had left, Shen Qi walked toward Ye Moxuan.
“Well… about yesterday…” Shen Qi spoke in a low voice.
Right at this moment, Ye Moxuan’s phone rang and he answered it with an indifferent face. “What is it?”
Since he was answering a call, Shen Qi could only hold her tongue.
Then, she saw him nod and say ‘alright’ before he hung up his phone and spoke to Xiao Su, “Let’s go.”
Xiao Su glanced at Shen Qi awkwardly and gave her a look before pushing Ye Moxuan away.
From the beginning to the end, he didn’t even glance at her.
Shen Qi, who sought to speak to him, looked like a clown and was completely ignored by him.
Rooted to the spot, Shen Qi clenched and unclenched her fists repeatedly in silence.

A gentle voice rang from behind. When Shen Qi turned around, she saw Ye Linhan.
He’s still here?
Shen Qi had been paying all her attention to Ye Moxuan. Therefore, she hadn’t noticed Ye Linhan at all.

Shen Qi took a piece of tissue and calmly wiped her seat dry before sitting down. Then, she finally said, “I’ve plugged in my pendrive from the start. You’re the one who’s blind enough to miss it and was careless. Why are you blaming me instead?”

After that, Yan directly walked over to her and held her hand, pulling her toward the cafeteria. She didn’t bother about the gazes she received.
