The department supervisor was a man in his 40s. He was thin with a long face and almond-shaped eyes. Even his mouth was pouty. He looked rather decent with his glasses but he didn’t look happy.

Someone reminded Xu Liao, causing him to glare at him. He explained immediately, “I didn’t mean to be late. It’s because the documents for this meeting have yet to be prepared!”

“What’s wrong? Weren’t you informed yesterday to sort out the documents? Why isn’t it prepared even until today? Look at the time now!”
“Exactly. Our department handed the documents in yesterday as well. What’s wrong with you?”

“I wanted to test her ability since she just came to our department. Unexpectedly, she proactively offered to prepare the documents for this meeting. She seemed confident, so I agreed to let her manage it. Who knew that she would fail to do so in the end? Young Master Ye, I’m sorry for my failure in disciplining my subordinate.”

Ye Linhan’s voice was steady. “You yourself said that she was new. The documents for this project are extremely important, and you know they’re needed in this meeting. When things have gone wrong like now, not only did you fail to lead by example, you also ridiculously passed the buck. Xu Liao, are you trying to be demoted as well?”
That sentence was logical and justified, draining all the colors from Xu Liao’s face. He finally realized what he had done and looked at Ye Linhan in fear. However, he noticed that the man at the head of the table didn’t even glance here and was seemingly unbothered by what was happening.

Ye Moxuan stared straight at Shen Qi’s fair face while he sounded impatient. “On your first day of demotion, not only did you rest on your laurels, but you also caused such great trouble. How are you going to make it up?”
Upon hearing that, Shen Qi, who had been standing silently, finally looked at Ye Moxaun.
Compared to a few days ago, his eyes were full of coldness now when he looked at her. When her eyes met his, she felt that she was plunged into an ice cave.
Shen Qi knew that her remarks hurt him, so she wouldn’t dream that he would forgive her. However, she needed an opportunity to explain herself.

Shen Qi raised the pendrive for them to see before walking over and plugging it into the port. Then, she proceeded to display it to everyone.
“This is what I’ve sorted out. Please give me some time. I’ll print it out now and distribute it to each of you.”

Shen Qi looked indifferent. “Supervisor, you didn’t ask me.”

“You only told me to come with you to the office without telling me the reason, and ever since I entered the office, I didn’t even have a chance to explain it to you,” Shen Qi added with an unconcerned face while blinking her eyes, looking extremely innocent.
Xu Liao almost spurted blood out of great anger.
At the side, the high-levels looked speechlessly at Xu Liao. Even Xiao Su, who was standing behind Ye Moxuan, couldn’t suppress his excitement as he cheered silently for Shen Qi.
