To Meng Kefei, that was a bigger threat than the previous one.
In that instant, the fury in her gaze vanished completely. Unlike others, her parents were just ordinary workers who had to go to faraway places for work, therefore she would be left at home most of the time.
In such a situation, she was powerless to go against them.
“I’m fine.”
“That’s great. Don’t make us worry.”
After that, Yuchi Yishu and the girls went to a beef noodle restaurant near the school entrance. The restaurant was filled with people, and it was so noisy that Yuchi Yishu had a headache.
Looking at the four girls across the table, he suddenly felt regretful and thought that he should have come with Zhong Chufeng, who would be able to handle such a situation.
“Yishu, why aren’t you eating?” When Tang Yuanyuan finished half a blow of noodles, she realized that Yuchi Yishu never touched his food at all. After he took a sip of the soup, he said, “I’m not hungry.”
“Ah? You’re wasting your food.”
Yuchi Yishu pushed the bowl of beef noodles to her. “You can have it.”
Tang Yuanyuan batted her eyes. “Really?”
“Yes.”
“Thanks, Yishu!”
After Tang Yuanyuan finished her own noodles, she went on to her brother’s bowl of noodles.
Meanwhile, Zhang Xiaolu and Yuan Yuehan were in a dilemma because the oil that floated on the soup stopped them from having the noodles. They were dancers, therefore they cared about their figure and wouldn’t normally eat such noodles, especially at night.
To them, adding a pound or two to their weights was a disaster.
That was why after Tang Yuanyuan finished two bowls of beef noodles, they stared at her chubby body with disdain.
Tang Yuanyuan doesn’t even realize how fat she is. If it isn’t for Yuchi Yishu, we wouldn’t want to be with such a girl.
More importantly, they wanted to eat as well. It was okay if nobody was eating, but now they had to watch others eat the delicious beef noodles. As the fragrant smell reached their noses, their stomachs growled as well.
They wanted to eat it, but when they thought about their figure, they had to contain the urge.
After Tang Yuanyuan finished two bowls of beef noodles, she ordered one more. Eventually, Zhang Xiaolu and Yuan Yuehan couldn’t control themselves anymore and devour the food.
When they came to their senses, the bowls in front of them were already emptied.
When the girls were full, Yuchi Yishu paid the bill and came back. Embarrassed, Tang Yuanyuan questioned, “Yishu, didn’t I say that I’d treat you? Why did you pay the bill?”
“Silly girl, it makes no difference who pays the bill. Are you full?”
“Yes.”
“Exercise a little when you go back and rest early. You have training tomorrow, remember?”
Tang Yuanyuan nodded. “Okay.”
Zhang Xiaolu and Yuan Yuehan wiped their mouths and said politely, “Yishu, thanks for treating us to supper. We’ll treat you to a meal soon.”
“Yeah. Can you give us your contact number?”
Yuchi Yishu shot them an indifferent look without saying a word. They had no choice but to stop it.
“Let’s go back.” Yuchi Yishu touched the back of Tang Yuanyuan’s head.
“I’m going back now. Please be safe on your way back as well.”
After they returned to the dormitory, Zhang Xiaolu and Yuan Yuehan felt guilty for having beef noodles, therefore they were ready to exercise. When they cocked their heads and saw Tang Yuanyuan lying on her bed, a tinge of contempt flashed across their gazes. Suddenly thinking of something, their contempt turned into care.
“Yuanyuan, you’ve just eaten supper. Why don’t you exercise for a while?”
“Exercise?” Tang Yuanyuan shook her head and answered lethargically, “We’ll have a one-week training that will be exhausting, so I have to rest now.”
When Zhang Xiaolu and Yuan Yuehan heard that, they lost all their energy to exercise. They were afraid that they would gain weight upon having the beef noodles, but when they thought that they had to train every single day in the following week, they decided to lie down as well.
“You’re right. After one week of training, we will have lost some weight. We really need a rest now.”
The girls all lay down on their beds. After a while, they dozed off.
The next morning signaled the start of the training.
With the sun high up in the sky, most of the girls were already drenched in sweat as their wet hair stuck to their faces. Some of them had wanted to keep up a good image, but they soon gave up.
The weather was hot today, and the sun was particularly scorching.
Tang Yuanyuan and Meng Kefei stood on the side. Meng Kefei questioned in a lowered voice, “Yuanyuan, have you applied sunscreen?”
“Yes, I have.”
Tang Yuanyuan nodded. Yuchi Yishu had sent the sunscreen to her school because he was worried that she would be sunburned, therefore she carefully applied the sunscreen before walking out of the room.
“Why aren’t you sweating?”
Meng Kefei shot Tang Yuanyuan a look and realized that the latter’s hair was dry. She was envious because her back and hair were already drenched in sweat.
Tang Yuanyuan batted her eyes. “I’m not a sweaty person. Fei, have you forgotten about it?”
“Yeah, I know you don’t really sweat, but you’re able to remain dry in this kind of weather. I’m envious of you.”
“You don’t have to be. My mom said that not sweating isn’t good for my health. I’m sure that sweating feels good, and I want to be just like you girls.”
However, she didn’t have that chance. No matter how tired she was after exercising, her back would only sweat a little. Nevertheless, some people would sweat heavily even though they only exercised a little.
Other girls were envious of her because she wouldn’t smell of sweat in the summer, but to Tang Yuanyuan, she was envious of girls who sweated a lot as she felt that it would be refreshing to sweat a lot.
“Sigh, we’re envious of each other.”
The girls whined incessantly after a full day of training. As soon as they returned to the rooms, they slumped into their beds and wouldn’t want to get up. However, according to the timetable, they had to take a shower. Some of them were so tired that they gave up on showering and lay on the beds as they allowed themselves to smell of sweat.
Meng Kefei was one of them. She was exhausted and wouldn’t want to get up. Still energetic, Tang Yuanyuan persuaded, “Get up now and have a refreshing shower. We can sleep later.”
“Yuanyuan, we still have other activities tonight, so I don’t want to get up. Please let me sleep now.”
Pushing her hand away, Meng Kefei turned over and closed her eyes.
“Fei, if you don’t wash up now, your body will smell of sweat. If the boys smell it, they would despise you.”
