“We’ll go out after I’ve delivered?” Jiang Xiaobai supported her waist and it took much effort for her to sit on the sofa. “I met Xiao Su at the supermarket that day, so he helped fetch me to the hospital. I didn’t know that it was Xiao Su who I ran into and I kept asking him to take me to the hospital. I guess he probably saw that my leg was hurt, so he couldn’t refuse and sent me there.”
Her words were almost similar to what the sales assistant had told her previously, so Jiang Xiaobai immediately knew she was not lying to her. After that, Jiang Xiaobai acted as if nothing had happened. Yan left after chatting with her for a while. The house went back to its original silence after Yan left. Jiang Xiaobai was standing outside the door with her pregnant belly as she remained silent. In her mind were the scenes of Xiao Su sending Yan to the hospital that day. There was no sign of him when she got out from the fitting room. He did not come back despite her waiting for him for a long time.
