Everything that happened next went according to plan as the bridesmaids and groomsmen constantly helped to make the atmosphere more lively.
The silent moment between Jiang Xiaobai and Xiao Su faded away. Xiao Su read out the letter of assurance, and everyone around them took out their phone, starting to record videos to post on their social media later.
Seeing this, Jiang Xiaobai urged them, “You guys better not delete the video after posting. Remember to send me a copy so that I can make sure he doesn’t go back on his words.”
Her statement made everyone laugh.
After Xiao Su finished reading the letter of reassurance, everyone cheered on Jiang Xiaobai, asking her to agree to be his wife. When she said yes, Xiao Su lowered his head and focused on helping her put on her shoes. He gently fitted the delicate shoes onto Jiang Xiaobai’s feet.
Without warning, Xiao Su leaned in and gave Jiang Xiaobai a kiss on the lips. Upon seeing that, everyone cheered for them happily.
As Xiao Su took a step back, Jiang Xiaobai realized that there was a smudge of her red lipstick on his lips. Without warning, Xiao Su picked her up in his arms.
The first step—picking up the bride—was checked off the list.
They then headed off to the wedding ceremony venue. Jiang Xiaobai still had another set of wedding gowns to change into, but she was never a huge fan of wedding gowns. However, Liang Yahe wanted her to try it on and wear it on her wedding day, so she agreed to Liang Yahe’s request.
On the way to the venue, Jiang Xiaobai wiped off the red lipstick on Xiao Su’s lips, and asked him softly, “You took away so much of my lipstick. Is mine all gone by now?”
Xiao Su lowered his head and glanced at her lips. His gaze sharpened as he clarified in a slightly hoarse voice, “No, everything is fine.”
He leaned over, his hands unconsciously pinching her chin when answering.
Jiang Xiaobai read his gaze, and immediately reached out her hand to stop Xiao Su from coming nearer.
“What are you trying to do? We still have a wedding ceremony to attend, and you acting like this will smear my lipstick.”
Xiao Su blinked in confusion.
“Can’t you touch up your lipstick later?”
Hearing that, Jiang Xiaobai was taken aback. She fluttered her eyelashes and said, “Yes, but…”
“Then it shouldn’t be a problem.”
Xiao Su kissed her without hesitation. For a moment, Jiang Xiaobai felt that the facial features in front of her were enlarged, and before she knew it, her lips were sealed by his. However, this kiss was different from the one they shared in the room earlier.
The kiss they had in the room was a mere brush of the lips. It was light, and he only kissed for a short moment. However, Jiang Xiaobai had heavy makeup on today, and her lipstick was bright red, so Xiao Su’s lips were painted red even though it was just a slight touch on her lips.
Needless to say, Jiang Xiaobai tried to stop Xiao Su from kissing her passionately, but when he pried her teeth open, she was no longer able to speak. Her body nestled softly in Xiao Su’s arms as he held onto her waist with one hand, and her shoulder with the other while he tried to support her.
Xiao Su pulled away from her when the kiss ended. Jiang Xiaobai blushed when she looked at his teeth and lips that were stained with bright red lipstick; she even felt slightly disdained by his appearance.
“Your lips and teeth are full of lipstick. That’s disgusting.”
Xiao Su didn’t mind about the lipstick at all, and he wasn’t disgusted either. He reached out to wipe the corner of her lips and said rustily, “Pretty.”
“Hmm?”
At first, Jiang Xiaobai didn’t understand what he was trying to say, but after a while she figured it out. “Do you mean I look good with lipstick?”
Xiao Su agreed softly. He was still blushing as before.
Jiang Xiaobai couldn’t help but tease him.
She reached out and gently scratched Xiao Su’s ears, saying softly, “If you like it, I can put it on every time before we kiss.”
She realized Xiao Su’s ears had gotten even more red and even Jiang Xiaobai herself was blushing. This was not something she would say regularly. Although she seemed brazen on the outside, she was actually quite a shy person.
Xiao Su coughed and caressed her face. “There’s no need. Didn’t you say it was disgusting earlier?”
“But don’t you like it? How did it taste?” Jiang Xiaobai deliberately leaned closer and nudged him on the nose, asking, “What was the flavor?”
Xiao Su gave the question a serious thought and replied, “Fruity.”
Jiang Xiaobai clicked her tongue. She didn’t expect him to get the flavor right.
Although most of Jiang Xiaobai’s lipstick were gone, her lips still had a vibrant shade on it. However, this shade of red was different from the one she had with the lipstick on. This color was so gorgeous that it made Xiao Su have the urge to kiss it again.
Xiao Su took a deep breath to calm himself down before muttering, “Let the makeup artist touch it up for you when we reach the venue later.”
How could she welcome the guests in her current state? Xiao Su had no idea how many male guests would be at the wedding ceremony, and he felt a rush of possessiveness. He didn’t want other men staring at Jiang Xiaobai’s stunning appearance.
He even wanted to keep her all by himself. Wedding ceremonies were just a thing for others to see anyway.

“Oh, your mother introduced her. She said this makeup artist has good skills and is in high demand.”
Something flashed in Xiao Su’s eyes, but Jiang Xiaobai couldn’t read it. “Why? Is the makeup bad?”
“No. It’s not that.” Xiao Su shook his head. He thought she was stunning, but never told her so. He just corrected her, “From today onward, she’s not just ‘my mother’; she’s ‘our mother’.”
Jiang Xiaobai was dumbfounded, but soon cracked a smile and tapped his head gently.
“Okay, she’s ‘our mother’. My mistake. I still need some time to get used to it.”
She awkwardly stuck her tongue out at Xiao Su.
The moment Xiao Su saw her reaction, his gaze deepened, and he pulled Jiang Xiaobai in for another kiss.
A few minutes later, there was a knock on the window.
“Sir, we have to get going. The wedding ceremony will be starting soon.”
Jiang Xiaobai pushed Xiao Su away and gasped for air, her face as red as a tomato. She wiped her lips, coughed slightly and got out of the car as if nothing happened.
Of course, she glared at Xiao Su viciously before getting out of the car.
As she left the car, her makeup artist stood nearby, welcoming her with a smile on her face. However, the moment she saw the makeup on Jiang Xiaobai’s face, she was petrified.
A moment later, she exclaimed, “Goodness, what happened to your lipstick?”
Jiang Xiaobai was rendered speechless.
