With tears covering her eyes, she could roughly make out a figure which turned out to be Yan who was giving her the tissue papers. “Take it easy.”
Nevertheless, Xu Yanwan didn’t take the tissue papers, but instead tearfully asked, “Will you forgive me?” What? Yan couldn’t believe her ears while looking at her in surprise. “I’ve come here today to offer my apology and beg for forgiveness.”
Yan felt relieved upon hearing her reply. “Oh, so this is what you meant. Anyway, please wipe off your tears first.” In the end, Xu Yanwan took the tissue papers from Yan and turned around to wipe off her tears before she looked back at the latter. “This is embarrassing. I’m sorry about that.” By now, Xu Yanwan had already come to her senses and regained control of her emotion.
“It’s okay.”
“Are you going to forgive me? I know it was my fault back then, and I promise I’ll never do that again.”
“We’re way past that point. In fact, I’ve already put it behind me, so I guess I don’t blame you. In that case, there is no need for me to forgive you.” Xu Yanwan understood whatYan meant upon hearing that. She never blamed me in the first place. So, I guess I can rest easy now, without having to worry whether I’ll be forgiven. At the thought of that, Xu Yanwan felt even more touched by Yan’s magnanimity.

After hearing her words, Yan paused, lowering her gaze as she said, “Actually, I’ve come a long way before getting this far, and there were many times that I nearly gave up.”

Nevertheless, she quickly disguised and suppressed her emotions, forcing a smile on her face.
“You’re right. Having each other is what matters. Formality is nothing as important as that.” Xu Yanwan then left shortly after apologizing, whereupon Yan realized that she left something behind and sent her servant to return it to its owner. However, the servant soon came back and said, “Madam, Miss Xu is gone. What do we do with this?”
Is she in such a hurry? Yan helplessly said, “Leave it here. We’ll return it to her the next time we see her.” The servant did as told and placed the bag of items aside, but when she did that, a bank card fell onto the floor. Upon pausing briefly, she said, “Madam, there is a bank card.” A bank card?
Her servant’s statement filled Yan’s mind with questions. It’d be understandable if Yan came with a present to signify her sincerity in apologizing, but what does this bank card mean? Did she really need a bank card to apologize? Therefore, Yan walked closer and unwrapped the present.
“Madam, there is a written note here.”
‘This card will grant you access to 90% of the company’s profit. From now on, I’ll transfer a sum of money into this account every month. I’m sorry. I’ve owed you too much, and this is the only way for me to redeem myself.’
After reading the note, Yan paused for a long while until she heard footsteps coming from behind her. Han Qing then showed up and asked, “What’s wrong?” In response, Yan handed the note and the bank card to the man. Han Qing went soft and said, “You really want to give it back to her?” Yan nodded her head and answered, “I know you’re always concerned about the affiliation between the Han and Xu Families. Furthermore, she hasn’t done me any harm because she is actually innocent.” Is she really innocent?
