“Shut up.”
The rain was pouring, and Xu Yanwan didn’t like what she was hearing. Those words were like needles poking through her heart.
“Why are you asking me to shut up? I’m trying to make you realize what really is going on. I, He Lianjing, used to be a man surrounded by all sorts of women. However, since the day I met you, I’ve cut ties with all of them. Upon hearing his words, Xu Yanwan sneered.
“Stop trying to make yourself look like a good man. So what if you’ve already cut ties with those women? You still had a chaotic past, and everyone knew that you’re a playboy. Why should I believe that you’re now a good man? Let go of me and just get out of my sight.”
He Lianjing was pissed at her words, but he ignored them. Throwing away the umbrella he had, he held her hands.
“You want to walk in the rain? Okay, I shall do it together with you then.”
“Let go of me!” Xu Yanwan tried to push He Lianjing away, but he was strong. He didn’t seem to be affected even though she tried to hit him. Without warning, He Lianjing suddenly grabbed her shoulders and stared at her as if she was his prey.
“I saw you tailing behind the lady in the hospital. How was it? Did it hurt knowing that she’s pregnant? Do you want to do anything about it? I can help you with it.”
Xu Yanwan, who was still struggling to get rid of him, suddenly stopped after she heard his last few words. Her eyes widened, and she stared at He Lianjing in shock, her lips trembling.
“You had a crush on him for so many years, yet he didn’t even look at you in the eye. He has made you suffer so much, and he’s getting married soon. If you don’t do anything before his wedding, would you even be happy, looking at him having a happy marriage?”
