Thinking that it could be the case, Jiang Mei spoke, “Xiaobai, don’t think that I’m not aware of what you’re up to. You intentionally dragged him over to put on an act on purpose. You two don’t look like a couple at all! Do you think I’ve never been in a relationship before? When you hugged him, his body was tense and he didn’t hug you back. After Jiang Xiaobai heard those words, she couldn’t help but raise her eyebrows in surprise and looked at Jiang Mei with some interest. She never expected Jiang Mei to be so observant to the point of noticing the small details—it seemed that she and Xiao Su’s interaction wasn’t good enough. But Jiang Xiaobai wasn’t nervous at all—it was an act after all and there was nothing bad about it. Even if she said that Xiao Su was her boyfriend, it was not like she could do anything if nobody believed her.
“Jiang Xiaobai, I dare you to kiss him!” Jiang Mei blurted out suddenly.
“What?” Jiang Xiaobai’s eyelids twitched.
“Isn’t it normal to kiss when you are in a relationship? If you don’t even have the courage to kiss him, it proves that you are not a couple. Just a peck on the cheek? Pfft, do you think you still live in ancient times?”
Sh*t! Jiang Xiaobai scolded internally before sneering. “Jiang Mei, I didn’t know you like to watch other people kiss. Since when did you develop such a bizarre fetish? You are a girl. As your cousin, I would advise you to get rid of this weird craze you have. Otherwise, what would that make you?” She fought back without any hesitation.
Jiang Mei was so angry that she turned pale. She wanted to turn around and leave at that moment yet she couldn’t help but smile upon noting Jiang Xiaobai’s reluctance. “You don’t dare to do so? I guess you aren’t a couple then. Xiaobai, what’s all these for? Even if you don’t have a decent job and Grandma doesn’t like you, you shouldn’t find a man to do this. How much did you spend? Mr. Xiao, how much did Jiang Xiaobai spend to hire you? I can double the price. Heck, I can even give you more.” With that, she even winked at Xiao Su and showed off her curves.

Jiang Xiaobai almost laughed out loud when she heard that. That was truly mean, saying that Jiang Mei was a woman without any self-respect. But I am satisfied to hear that and Jiang Mei definitely deserves it for trying to seduce others.
“Y-You!” Jiang Mei was so mad that her eyes reddened, but she couldn’t say a word.
“Jiang Mei, you should have more respect for yourself. Go wash your face and put on your makeup. There are many guests tonight and there are also many single men. You shouldn’t have your eye on another person’s boyfriend even if you are thirsty.”
Jiang Xiaobai finally managed to chase Jiang Mei away in anger. After Jiang Mei left, Jiang Xiaobai sighed in relief before speaking in her usual tone, “She finally left. Thanks for cooperating.” She raised her head to look at Xiao Su. Xiao Su lowered his head to glance at her as well and their eyes met. That was when they realized that they were so close that they felt each other’s breath.
Xiao Su pouted and spoke indifferently, “It’s something that I agreed to. You don’t have to thank me.”
“You are truly weird. Here I am thanking you, yet you look so unhappy?” Jiang Xiaobai blinked.
Xiao Su’s face sunk. “You took advantage of me again.”
“Took advantage? You meant the peck on your cheek?” Jiang Xiaobai tip-toed and blew on Xiao Su’s cheek gently. Xiao Su frowned a little, but he didn’t dodge her movement.
Jiang Xiaobai smiled faintly. “So what if I took advantage of you? If you think you were at a losing end, take it back then.”
Her face was right before his eyes. Craftiness and cheekiness filled her eyes, as if she was certain that he would never do anything to her. That was the reason why she acted so presumptuously and boldly. When Xiao Su looked at the girl’s gorgeous face and her glossy lips, he uncontrollably bent his head down and leaned toward her.
Jiang Xiaobai was certain that he was a cold-hearted man and wouldn’t do anything to her. No matter how she teased him, he wouldn’t do anything. After all, he was a man who blushed when she touched his ears, so it was impossible for him to react to her. Now that she saw him leaning toward her, her smile faded.
It was completely different from what Jiang Xiaobai expected—she had expected Xiao Su to blush and push her away while saying, “Stop dreaming.” She would then scoff and diss him by saying, “Can’t you say something else?” But it never happened in that manner. Jiang Xiaobai watched as Xiao Su leaned toward her before their breaths neared each other. They would’ve kissed in no time.
Just as Xiao Su was about to kiss her, Jiang Xiaobai panicked for the first time and questioned him, “What are you trying to do?”
Xiao Su stopped and his pupils were dark. “Didn’t you tell me to take advantage of you in return?”
Jiang Xiaobai’s eyes widened. “You’ll do whatever I tell you to do? Since when do you listen to me?”
“If not?” Although he was so near, his eyes were still dark and his face was still indifferent—just like a robot devoid of any emotions.
“I can’t keep letting you take advantage of me and not getting anything in return, can I?” He then leaned forward again, frightening Jiang Xiaobai to the point where she screamed and pushed him away.
However, she forgot that they were really close and had not separated when they spoke. Besides, she had tiptoed when she spoke to him, so after she pushed him away, she fell backward uncontrollably. Xiao Su’s heart tightened when he watched her falling backward. He reached out and quickly pulled her back into his embrace.
Thud! Jiang Xiaobai’s soft face fell onto Xiao Su’s chest. The impact was so painful that she almost teared up.
“Did you hurt your ankle?” Xiao Su frowned as he asked.
Jiang Xiaobai gritted her teeth and pushed him away once again before standing to her full height. “It’s none of your business!”
