“You even dressed up and put on makeup before meeting him!” he growled.
“When did I dress up?” Shen Qi asked before rubbing her cheeks. “I didn’t even put on makeup today,” she added in a hurt tone.
“Is that so? Let me have a look,” Ye Moxuan remarked skeptically before reaching out and grabbing her chin. He lifted her face up before leaning closer to her and observed it from both left and right.
His warm breath hit Shen Qi’s face, and it felt like a gentle caress from the feathers of a newborn bird, which tickled Shen Qi and caused her heart to skip a beat.
Her breathing paused for a moment as she stared at Ye Moxuan who was inches away from her. She realized that the man had deep-set eyes, and despite the fact that she was barely inches away from him, his skin appeared to be incredibly smooth and flawless. She felt lost while staring into his deep eyes, which felt as vast as the boundless ocean.
For some reason, Shen Qi felt anxious, and she licked her lips unconsciously.
A trace of an unknown emotion flashed across Ye Moxuan’s eyes, and he tightened his grip on her chin even more. “I see that you do not have makeup on indeed. In that case, why are you wearing a dress on purpose? Do you really have no other motives?” he asked in a hoarse voice.

The next thing she knew, Ye Moxuan was already kissing her.
His hand, which was pinching her chin just now, started cupping her face tenderly. Ye Moxuan’s palm felt warm and dry, and it moved slowly from her cheek to the back of Shen Qi’s head.
