Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 1209

If it was left unexplained, the situation would be extremely awkward with the staff member continuously addressing Yan as Mrs. Han. After all, she was just Han Qing’s girlfriend and it wasn’t long ago that they became a couple. Both of them had never discussed this topic before and it made them feel rather awkward now that it was openly pointed out.

Explain? Lowering his head, Han Qing shot a glance at the young lady beside him. Her eyes contained the element of uncertainty with a trace of caution, as if she was afraid that he would become angry. He narrowed his eyes and his long arms suddenly pulled her into his embrace as he slightly smiled at the staff member. “There is nothing wrong. You can make the necessary arrangements.”

Yan, who was in his embrace, was perplexed. Han Qing didn’t explain or deny it? He even pulled me into his arms. Is this an admission in disguise? N-No, maybe he just thinks that this is a honeymoon trip, so denying it would make the situation more awkward. Upon having such thoughts, the trace of joy in her heart disappeared.

“Okay,” the staff member agreed gladly.

Han Muzi had paid handsomely and after she gave the slots to Yan and Han Qing, they acquired a one-on-one service where the staff member explained all of the entertainment facilities and tourist spots along the journey. The staff member knew her place as well, so she would immediately disappear after some explanations and only reappear when it was almost time to leave. The time in between her presence belonged to the couple. Of course, this only happened afterward.

When the plane landed, a private vehicle sent both Yan and Han Qing to the hotel.

Although they didn’t do much for the entire day, the long flight was rather exhausting. Yan, who was initially nervous and excited, felt exhausted after the entire day’s worth of journey hence she decided that she would immediately shower and sleep when they arrived at the hotel. No! I’m not going to take a shower. I just want to hug the fragrant pillow and sleep until the world comes to an end!

However, when she pushed the door open and walked into the hotel room, she was utterly dumbfounded. She merely stood there blankly as the corner of her lips slightly twitched.

Han Qing, who had finished unpacking his luggage, changed into his flip-flops and walked up to Yan. Looking at her frozen in place, he asked in a low voice, “What’s wrong? I thought that you said you’re tired. Aren’t you going to get some rest?”

Upon hearing Han Qing’s voice, Yan almost burst out in tears. It was because there was only one bed in the room. Although the bed was large enough to accommodate four to five people, the awkward thing was that there were countless rose petals on the bed and it was arranged into a large heart shape—at the center of the heart shape was a pair of mandarin ducks.

The scene before them looked suggestive and the arrangements would have been suitable if they were a pair of newlyweds, but they were not. They were a couple who merely started dating not too long ago and suddenly had to stay in a room like this. Staring at a large bed like this, it would be hard for one to not have their imagination run wild.

Yan’s fair, little face started to blush. She cast an awkward glance at Han Qing before moving her lips with difficulty. “But… there is only one bed…”

When Han Qing walked over to Yan, he evidently saw the same image that she saw. Awkwardness—albeit a faint and fleeting one—flashed across his usually cold and calm face. Looking back at the young lady’s flushed face, it was obvious that she felt embarrassed. He faintly smiled as he reached out, resting his large hand on the back of her head before slightly lowering his head toward her. “What’s wrong with just having one bed? This is a honeymoon trip for newlyweds, so did you expect the travel-theme employees to prepare two beds for you? Or maybe two rooms?”

Yan was at a loss for words, still feeling extremely awkward even though what Han Qing said was right. Facing Han Qing’s close approach, she bit on her lower lip. “But…”

Han Qing patted her head. “Don’t think too much about it. Aren’t you tired? Let’s remove the rose petals and we can sleep.”

He described it lightly, seemingly without any stress. When she thought of how nervous she was before she left her house and how shy she felt when she saw the large bed and compared with his calm and untroubled reaction, she found herself rather useless and uneasy at the same time. Why am I the only one feeling nervous when he’s not troubled at all? Could it be that he doesn’t have those… feelings for me?

After thinking about it for a while, Yan’s face was flushed red again. She slapped Han Qing’s hand away and angrily cleared the rose petals. Just like that, she threw all of the rose petals, which the hotel employees had a hard time arranging, into the trash can. As for the mandarin ducks, she threw them away as well. When she cleared the place, he said that he wanted to head downstairs to survey the surroundings and left after telling her to rest well.

Yan, who was in a gloomy mood, wanted to tag along, but she remembered that she told him that she was tired. Han Qing must have realized that she wanted to rest, so he did not take her along. Hence, she resignedly showered to wash her exhaustion away. Lying on the bed, she stared at the snow-white ceiling and sighed. Will there be any changes in this trip? Why do I find Han Qing very calm?

Countless questions intertwined with each other in her mind, but at last, she gradually fell asleep. She never thought that she would be able to sleep until the next morning. It might have been due to her long sleep, but her sleeping posture relaxed—she tossed and turned every few minutes, tugged the blanket and took the whole blanket in the end to cover herself.

As the air-conditioner in the room was switched on, she took the whole blanket and curled up underneath it when she felt cold. She continued to roll and roll until she fell on the floor with a loud thud.

The pain woke her up. Rubbing on the painful spot of her body, she clambered up and saw the morning sunlight, much to her surprise. The sunlight bewildered her. What’s happening? I remembered that it was during the evening when I fell asleep—in fact, it was close to sunset, so shouldn’t it be nighttime instead? Could it be that… this is the next day? She quickly glanced around the room, but found that it was empty—the same was said for the bed as well. That was because she fell together with the blanket earlier and the pillow next to her was neat, as if no one had slept on it.

Yan instantly clambered up the bed and sat on it in a daze. I’ve never expected that I can sleep until the next morning and it seems like Han Qing didn’t sleep here last night at all? Where did he go?

After she zoned out for a moment, she fished out her phone and saw the messages that Han Qing sent via WeChat. One of them was, ‘I’m staying next door. Call me if there’s anything.’

Next door? Her expression changed slightly. Yesterday, he asked me whether I thought that the employee would prepare two rooms for us and now he’s secretly booked a room for himself?

For an unknown reason, after she knew about this, she felt her heart slowly sinking. It was not because she was eager to stay in the same room or share the same bed with Han Qing, but the current arrangement made her feel as if he was unwilling to stay in the same room as her…
