Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 1145

Even though everyone was at the table, in the beginning, Little Bean was the only person eating. Yan, on the other hand, was so upset that she had lost her appetite. But looking at the calm and indifferent look that Han Qing had on his face throughout, she had the urge to continue arguing with him. This was because she did not have an outlet for her rage. It was like letting out a punch that landed on a ball of cotton—it did not hurt, but it certainly did not feel good.

Because of this, she had not eaten anything. Li Sihan tried asking her to eat, only for her to respond, “Thanks, but I’m not hungry. You can go ahead.”

That was Li Sihan’s intention as he had never tried any of these dishes before. Besides, he paid for these; it would be a waste if they did not finish it. He kept asking Yan to eat so that he could keep up appearances, but she would not eat anything no matter what. In the end, he gave up and began eating by himself.

The other person who had left the chopsticks untouched was Han Qing. From the moment he entered the cubicle, he had only been drinking tea and had not taken a bite of anything on the table. He had a serious look on his face, and his dark and deep eyes made people wonder what was going on. Not knowing how long this meal was going to last, Yan wanted to leave badly.

Little Bean could not stop eating until he was stuffed. He then turned around and looked at Han Qing, who was sitting next to him. “Uncle Qing, I’m full.”

Han Qing coldly threw a glance at him and remained silent, pursing his thin lips.

Not satisfied with the response, Little Bean put his hands over his bloated stomach. “I can’t eat anymore.” This is my first time seeing Uncle Qing this serious. It’s so scary! I want to go home to find Mommy!

Han Qing was clearly unhappy, but seeing the little brat put his soft hands over his bloated stomach caught his attention. He then opened his thin lips. “Don’t force yourself then.” He’s just a kid. Overeating in this manner should teach him a lesson, but if he became sick as a result of this, I don’t know how I’m going to explain to Muzi.

Little Bean let out a sigh of relief after getting Han Qing’s permission to stop eating. Then, he bent over the table. “Thanks, Uncle Qing.” I can finally stop eating! My stomach’s going to blow up if I don’t stop.

Right now, Li Sihan was the only person left eating at the table. He was quite a big eater, and he was loud whenever he chewed and bit food; even though every person had their own eating habits, he should be more wary about this, as this was a public space.

This habit of Li Sihan surprised Yan. However, she was too upset to say anything about it. Everyone ended up waiting for Li Sihan to finish, up until Little Bean questioned, “Mr. Li, are you very hungry?”

This made Li Sihan realize that he was too deep into eating. He paused awkwardly and wiped his mouth with a napkin before flashing a proper smile across his face. “I’m not hungry. I just don’t want to waste food.”

Uh-huh. Not wanting to waste food is a good virtue to have. Little Bean was fine with that.

When the server came in with the check, Li Sihan shouted immediately, “It’s on me!”

While Yan was borrowing money for her digital wallet, she saw that the bottle of red wine was already opened and figured that it was now too late to return it. She reckoned that this meal should be expensive. Thankfully, she now had enough on her digital wallet. No matter what, she did not want Han Qing to pay for this meal.

However, before she could finish the transaction, Li Sihan stood up unexpectedly, looking generous and tenacious. Little Bean blinked and smiled at Li Sihan. “Thanks, Mr. Li, for the treat.”

“You’re welcome. It’s nothing. How much is it?”

Li Sihan was stunned for a moment when the server told him the total amount. “W-What did you say?”

“Sir, the total for today is 38,688.”

Li Sihan asked, “Isn’t the minimum spending 5,000? Where did the other 30,000 come from?”

“Sir, this bottle of red wine costs around 30,000.”

Li Sihan retorted, “When did we have a bottle of red wine? How did I not know about this?” He glanced over and saw a bottle of red wine on the table that looked extremely pricey. What sort of red wine is this? Why is it so expensive? How am I supposed to come up with over 30,000? He began to look terrified as he remembered the fact that he did not have a lot of savings.

“Can you take back the red wine? We didn’t even drink it.”

“I’m sorry, sir. Once the bottle is opened, there’s no way you can return it.”

“Why not? We didn’t even drink it. You… can just take it back and reseal it.”

“I’m afraid we can’t do this, sir—”

Just as the two were arguing, a lean hand came with a credit card. “Please.”

After getting the credit card, the server quickly left.

“W-What are you… Didn’t I say that it’s on me?” Seeing Han Qing pay for it, Li Sihan felt instantly agitated and began trying to save his face. “None of us has touched the red wine. Isn’t it a waste of money? We shouldn’t be fooled by them.”

Han Qing explained blandly, “Once the bottle is opened, there’s no way we can return it. No matter how much you argue with him, we’ll still have to pay for it.”

Li Sihan was rendered speechless.

“That’s right, Mr. Li. Thanks for the treat today. It’s the thought that counts!”

These words sounded sarcastic and malicious to Li Sihan as he looked at Little Bean.

In a short while, Yan managed to transfer 40,000 to Little Bean’s WeChat account on his phone. She then lifted her head and told Little Bean, “Little Bean, I’ve just transferred the money for this meal to your WeChat account. Please check if you’ve received it and pay Uncle Qing for me later.”

Yan’s words saved Li Sihan, who responded to her, “Let me pay for it. I’ll transfer the money to you when we get back later.”

At this point, all Yan wanted to do was leave. She casually nodded and replied, “The shop needs me right now, so I’m leaving.”

Then, Li Sihan took Yan with him and left. After that, Little Bean turned to look at Han Qing, looking annoyed. “Uncle Qing, why are you not stopping Aunt Yan?”

Han Qing paused. Stop? With what? She’s gone on a blind date and is now seen everywhere with another man. What right do I have to stop her? After he took the last sip of the tea, he placed the empty cup on the table. “This is stupid. Don’t ever do this again.”

Dissatisfied, Little Bean commented, “How is this stupid? That man has an ulterior motive in being with Aunt Yan. Besides, Aunt Yan likes you. Why does she want to be with someone else?”

Han Qing kept quiet, so Little Bean added, “Uncle Qing, you shouldn’t have denied it. Then, the bad guy would have left Aunt Yan alone.”

“Then what?” Han Qing gave him a faint look. “So that when he’s out of the picture, he can go around spreading nonsense to ruin your Aunt Yan’s reputation?”
