Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 1084

When Han Muzi woke up on the second day, she realized that Yan, who had been next to her, gazed outside the window with a perplexed expression. Han Muzi had just woken up, so she was still sleepy. “What is it?” she asked with half-closed eyes as she wanted to sleep for a little longer, even though they were headed back to North City today.

Hearing her voice, Yan returned to her senses and pointed outside the window. “Look, it’s snowing.”

It’s snowing? Han Muzi felt a thump in her heart and she quickly looked outside the window. The scenery outside the window was coated in white as snow blew all over the place.

After just a glance, Han Muzi immediately removed her blanket and sat on the bed. Her movement was so fast that her vision was black when she got up. However, she recovered her vision quickly and she ran over to the front of the window afterward without wearing any shoes. It really is snowing and it’s snowing heavily. The whole world outside the window is now snowy white; even the snow flowing about in the air is as huge as a goose’s feather. This situation…

“Muzi, what is it?” Yan also went to the side of the window. She had probably just woken up as her mind was still dizzy and she rubbed her hair. “There’s so much snow. I did not expect such heavy snow suddenly. Ah!” She instantly thought of something, patting her head. “I’m really blurred by my sleep. Will they block all of the roads during such heavy snow? How can we return to North City?”

Han Muzi already furrowed her beautiful brows and bit on her lower lip gently while staring at the plain whiteness outside. Before she came here, she had never checked on the weather forecast. This was because the weather lately seemed nice, so she thought that it wouldn’t snow this year. Surprisingly, the snow came with such urgency and without any warning.

Ding-dong! The two of them stood blankly in the front of the window when the doorbell rang. Yan immediately responded, “I will get the door.”

It was Xiao Su at the door. He was already dressed up in his proper attire, so he couldn’t help but frown his brows when he saw Yan opening the door in her pajamas. “It is snowing outside, so I’m afraid we would not be going anywhere today.” With that, he landed his eyes on Yan. “Get change so that you would not catch a cold.”

Yan lowered her head and noticed that she only wore her pajamas before instinctively covering her chest with her hands as her eyes widened. With a bang, she closed the door and returned to her room to wear some clothes. She also helped Han Muzi to put on a coat. “Wear it now or else you’ll catch a cold.”

Even though the hotel’s heating system was turned on, Yan had no idea if Han Muzi would dash out of the door at any second since she stood barefoot on the floor. Han Muzi looked worryingly at Yan after the former wore her coat.

“I know what you are worrying about, but we cannot do anything in this snow. Why don’t we stay for another day and see what happens tomorrow?” Yan assured Han Muzi.

Yet, Han Muzi never answered Yan. She instead took out her phone to check on the news report. It reported that the sudden heavy snow had caused many roads to be blocked, so it made it inconvenient for people to travel out of the city. Despite Han Muzi’s impatience to return, it was impossible for her to say that she wanted to leave immediately. After all, it was inconvenient and precarious to travel in such conditions.

“Muzi?” This caught Han Muzi’s attention and when she lifted her head, she saw that Yan stared at her nervously with a trace of annoyance, explaining, “I’m sorry, I did not intend to say those words to you. If you do not want to stay for another day, then we…”

“It’s fine. I’m alright with staying here for another day or two. It’s rare for us to visit this neighboring city, so why don’t we have a tour of the nearby malls after we have our breakfast?”

Listening to Han Muzi’s words, Yan finally let out a sigh of relief. “Just don’t be mad.”

Han Muzi looked at Yan resignedly. “Look at you. You care too much about other people’s feelings.”

“We’re best friends, so what else can I do? Besides, I’m not like this toward others.”

Listening to Yan, Han Muzi was suddenly stunned. She’s right. She was always a carefree person before, but after her relationship with me improved, she’s attached to me. Sure enough, the fate between us is indescribable.

After the sudden snowfall, Song An specially made a phone call to Han Muzi and reminded the latter to be careful and stay warm at all times until the roads were no longer before returning to North City. Due to the unexpected delay, Han Muzi also texted Han Qing. As for Yan, she contacted Luo Huimei to inform the latter about the situation.

When Luo Huimei received the news, she happened to be busy with the shop. Before the shop was opened, her daughter had taught her the ins and outs of managing a shop, so without Yan around, the shop’s business was not affected whatsoever. Not only that, she even had the help of her lucky star, Little Bean.

Since that day, Han Qing went to search for Little Bean once, but the latter refused to leave with the former immediately. Little Bean had commented that he did not want to stay with Han Qing because Uncle Qing was a bad person. Everyone felt awkward afterward and Han Qing never forced Little Bean, so the latter stayed with the Zhou Family for the time being.

Lately, Little Bean had successfully convinced the married couple and proudly said that he would marry his Aunt Yan when he was an adult. After hearing his words, Mr. Zhou was taken aback that he almost fell off his chair before he silenced Little Bean. “Oh my God. You cannot simply say things like this. If President Ye ever hears you saying this, he might think that I was the one who taught you to say nonsensical things.”

While standing aside, Luo Huimei was amused by what she saw. “I actually think it is not bad. Looking at President Ye’s face, I believe that Little Bean definitely would not lose out to his father in the future. Little Bean is a good choice.”

Little Bean smiled with pleasure at her. Yet, Mr. Zhou was still anxious about it. “In your dreams. How does it matter whether he is good looking in the future? After 10 or 20 years, Yan will become old. Would it not be embarrassing for an old hag in her shoes to be with a young kid? ”

Luo Huimei became displeased after hearing that and immediately scolded her husband, “You awful old man. How can you say that about your daughter? What old hag? My daughter will always be 18 years old!”

Mr. Zhou was rendered speechless. Women are really unreasonable! But if I’m being serious, how can she be 18 years old forever? If that is really true, wouldn’t that make her a vampire? Even the thought of it terrifies me.

The snowfall was a really heavy one and it even looked the part. After a night of snowfall, it still continued to snow the next day. When Han Muzi and Yan returned to the hotel, there was lots of snow that gathered on their heads and shoulders. There were no heaters outside, so they shivered and the first thing they did upon returning to the hotel was to take a hot bath.

Han Muzi was still unable to return and she grew worried about Ye Moxuan, so she had a video call with Song An that evening. Seeing Ye Moxuan lying on the bed through the video screen, she noticed that he looked much better, but was unsure if it was just an illusion. Just as Han Muzi thought about it, Song An also asked the same thing, “Do you not think he looks better?”

Han Muzi regained her senses and felt odd. “You think so too, Aunty?”

Song An nodded. “Yes. Not only me, even the old man feels the same way. To tell you the truth, the doctor said that he is recovering well, so he should be awake soon.”
