No matter how experienced the doctor was, he only said that it depended on how strong the patient’s will was when he encountered Ye Moxuan’s condition. Even after ridiculing him, Song An never took his words to heart. Later on, she met up with Han Muzi and joked about Yuchi Jin’s suggestion. Surprisingly, Han Muzi agreed to it with a serious face after listening to Song An.
Song An suddenly froze. What the hell? She felt that the old man was an elderly person, so it was normal for him to be a bit superstitious, but the modern world usually never believed in such things. Listening to her, Han Muzi giggled and explained, “Aunty, this is not a superstition. “Across the city?” Won’t that take a lot of time?
Song An roughly calculated the time that they needed. “We may need two days to return. Are you alright with leaving him here?”
Han Muzi shot a glance at the unconscious Ye Moxuan and to be honest, she was definitely reluctant to leave him here, but…
“Alright. I’m his aunt, so I will stay here for two days to look after him by myself. You can just head off to Lingyun Mountain for these two days to offer your prayers. I actually do not believe in all these, but since you have decided to go, then do not waste any time. Remember to be sincere.”
Song An promised to stay and personally take care of Ye Moxuan. Han Muzi didn’t stop her and she told Yan, who responded that she had her own prayers to offer too. Therefore, Yan decided to go together with Han Muzi. Naturally, Xiao Su was worried to let them travel alone, hence he requested to tag along.
Initially, Yan didn’t want to agree to him, but she considered the fact that it wasn’t safe for two girls to travel alone. Not only that, Han Muzi was a pregnant woman, so if something happened to her, Yan wouldn’t be able to handle everything by herself. With Xiao Su around, at least they would be able to take care of each other if there was an accident. After carefully considering it, Yan agreed.
Before she left, Han Muzi returned to the hospital to have a look at Ye Moxuan. She sat beside him and said a lot to him. Seeing the need for privacy and to provide them with personal space, Song An and Yuchi Jin exited the ward.
Song An waited for a long time, but it was Yan who urged her even before Han Muzi came out, “Aunty Song, can you please check if Muzi is done? We really have to go now.”
“I will have a look.” Song An rose to her full height and went to the front of the ward. Through the glass, she saw that Han Muzi leaned over to kiss Ye Moxuan on the lips. Song An immediately made a sound and turned around. “She is almost done. Just wait for a while.” I must say that Muzi really loves this little brat with all of her heart.
Xiao Su and Yan exchanged glances as they had no idea what Song An saw inside before deciding to wait for a while. Sure enough, the door to the ward opened less than a minute later and Han Muzi came out. “I’m sorry to keep you all waiting for so long. We can leave now. Aunty, Grandfather, thank you for these two days.”
Yuchi Jin rubbed his old face while waving toward her. “Take care of yourself. You must always remind yourself that you are a pregnant woman. Try not to injure yourself.”
Song An sneered, “You old man, are you more concerned for your granddaughter-in-law or the baby in her belly?”
Song An’s words caused Yuchi Jin to flush as he let out a few coughs. “An, what nonsense are you talking about? Am I not allowed to be concerned about my granddaughter-in-law and my great-grandchild? Try listening to yourself… Muzi, be careful, alright?”
Song An rolled her eyes and stopped ridiculing him while standing aside. After that, Yan, Xiao Su and Han Muzi went on their journey.
On the way to the neighboring city, Yan felt a bit of excitement growing inside her but she felt that it was impossible. After all, she hadn’t seen that man for days now and she didn’t know where he had gone lately. Is he busy with work in his company? Since that night, she no longer saw Han Qing. However, he visited the hospital—it was just that their paths at the hospital never crossed. As Yan thought about it, she scorned herself in her heart. What is it? Isn’t this what you wanted? You’ve thought about avoiding him before, so what are you sad for?
Thinking about it, Yan simply wore a face mask and a pair of glasses. Han Muzi saw her from beside and she couldn’t help but ask, “What is it?”
Yan answered her without any energy, “Nothing. I just want to sleep, but if I do not wear these, you all will notice the way I sleep, which will be too embarrassing.” That wasn’t the reason actually. She was not in a good mood and she was afraid of showing it to Han Muzi and Xiao Su since it would be embarrassing.
Seeing that Yan wanted to sleep, Xiao Su reminded her, “We still need to wait for another two hours to arrive at the neighboring city. You can sleep now. I will wake you up later.”
“Alright. Thanks.”
Han Muzi thought of her big brother as she watched Xiao Su and Yan interact with each other. If he is interested in Yan, then he should be the one accompanying us to the neighboring city today. Something feels wrong here. At that moment, Han Muzi realized that she never informed Han Qing about their trip. As the thought came to mind, she took out her phone to text him.
For convenience’s sake, they decided to travel at night. If she were to message him now, he would probably only be able to read it the next morning. After sleeping for a while, Yan suddenly turned toward Han Muzi while holding a face mask. “Do you want one?”
Han Muzi received it. “Thank you.” She also felt that it was a bit embarrassing to doze off, so she wore a face mask in the end. After that, the two of them slouched in their seats and slept together.
Xiao Su was the one who drove the car. Other than him, their personal driver was also there. It was a neighboring city, therefore it was faster for them to travel by car. Initially, Han Muzi had considered dragging Yan to the airport with her if they hadn’t planned on traveling by car.
Xiao Su shot a glance at the rear mirror before realizing that Young Lady Ye and Yan had fallen asleep. Then, he quietly raised the temperature of the car.
