Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 1050

As Mr. Zhou was recuperating well and would soon be discharged from the hospital, Yan was no longer upset at mentioning it. Therefore, she shared the entire story with Little Bean. Listening to the story, his eyes turned red and he pulled at her arm cutely. “I’m sorry, Aunt Yan. I didn’t know Uncle Zhou had gotten into an accident. I won’t eat any of the food; we should leave it for him.”

Yan reached out and pinched his nose. “Thankfully you have some compassion in you.”

Hugging her arm, he asked quietly, “Are we going to deliver the food to Uncle Zhou now?”

“Yeah.” She nodded. “We’ll deliver this, then I’ll bring you back to my house and I’ll cook for you.”

Agreeing, he said nothing more. Soon, they arrived at the hospital. Yan brought Little Bean with her as they got out of the car—one hand holding the thermal container, the other holding onto his hand. She might look rather young, but the way they looked as she held Little Bean’s hand while walking made them seem like a mother and son duo. After all, it wasn’t rare for people to have children at a young age in this day and age. It was just that his looks were too delicate. So, when passersby looked at them, they were surprised that she had given birth to such a good-looking child. However, after thinking about it, they decided that perhaps his father was handsome, and he merely took after his father. Of course, these were merely passing gossip. If she heard it, she would have fainted from the shock.

They quickly arrived outside the hospital room, and Yan reminded Little Bean, “Don’t forget; you’re not allowed to run about.”

“Don’t worry, Aunt Yan. I’m a good boy; it’s not as if you don’t know that.”

That’s right, I know that. He had always been a well-behaved child; compared to a normal child, he was much less burdensome and way smarter.

Pushing open the doors, only Mr. Zhou could be seen leaning against the head of the bed as he quietly read the newspaper. She inadvertently glanced over at the restroom and saw that the door was tightly closed—Luo Huimei must be occupying the restroom.

“Dad,” she called out.

“Oh, you’re here, Yan.” Putting down his newspaper, he lifted his head to look at her. In the next moment, he froze and stared blankly at the boy standing by her side. “I-Isn’t that…” He was dumbstruck and continued to stare at that face in confusion. Isn’t this the Ye Group’s Little Young Master? Why is he here?

“Nice to meet you, Uncle Zhou,” Little Bean politely greeted him without any prompting from Yan.

Looking at her father’s reaction, Yan blinked her eyes. Then, she realized that Little Bean looked very similar to Young Master Ye. As such, her father’s reaction during their first meeting was not unusual. She began explaining, “Dad, this is—”

“The son of President Ye; I know.” Her father had unexpectedly interrupted her. Stunned, she continued, “Dad, how do you know…”

“How can I not know? He has been to the company before.” Then, he directed the conversation away as he smiled brightly at Little Bean. “Why did you come here so unexpectedly, little President Ye? You should have informed me that you were coming, then I could have prepared myself in advance.”

Yan rolled her eyes at those words. There goes my father again! He even called him little President Ye! How can Little Bean be regarded as little President Ye?

“Dad, don’t be like this and stop calling him little President Ye. His name is Little Bean; just address him the same way I do. He came along with me today, and we’ll be going home together after this.”

“Huh?” Mr. Zhou couldn’t understand what was going on. “W-What do you mean? Why would the little President Ye follow you here? You…”

“Dad, I forgot to tell you before; the designer I followed before is Muzi. She is Little Bean’s mother, as well as the wife of your president.”

Mr. Zhou was so shocked he was rendered speechless. My daughter actually got along so well with the wife of the president and their kid? I never knew my daughter had that in her!

“Uncle Zhou, I will bring Mommy and Daddy to visit you next time.”

Mr. Zhou continued to say nothing.

Staring at her father’s expression, Yan hurriedly pulled Little Bean aside. “That’s enough, Little Bean. You should stop talking to him now; if you go on, I think he’s going to get off the bed.”

Little Bean nodded compliantly and obligingly kept his mouth shut. Mr. Zhou became speechless again. Giving his daughter an unhappy look, he grumbled softly, “Yan, what do you mean by that? Won’t you let me talk to the little President Ye? Besides, he is already here. How could you bring him here without letting me know beforehand…”

Before he could finish his sentence, she sat down by the edge of the bed. “Alright, why don’t you start eating?”

He seemed to feel slightly aggrieved, but he accepted the food and quietly picked up his chopsticks. Then, he stuffed his mouth with food while glancing at Little Bean.

“Oh my! Whose child is this? How is he so good-looking?” A high-pitched voice rang out suddenly, surprising everyone in the room. Mr. Zhou had the biggest reaction—he was so shocked that the chopsticks in his hand clattered noisily to the floor.

Yan said nothing as she gave her father another pair of chopsticks expressionlessly. Then, she mechanically picked up the chopsticks from the floor and placed them back into the bag.

“Oh, my goodness!” Luo Huimei quickly rushed over to Little Bean the moment she came out of the restroom, examining him all over.

“Nice to meet you, Aunt Zhou,” Little Bean gave a little bow as he greeted her politely.

“Aunt Zhou? Do you know me?” She smiled brightly and couldn’t help but reach out to touch his face. The boy did not flinch nor dodge; instead, he simply let her use her fingers to gently poke at his face. The feeling of a child’s face, full of collagen, was very nice. Thus, she couldn’t resist poking at his face again and again.

Despite that, he politely let her do as she pleased, seemingly not bothered by it. On the other hand, Yan simply stood by the side, watching them.

“Yan… I-Is this your son?”

The words that came out of Luo Huimei’s mouth were so outrageous that not only were both Mr. Zhou and Yan shocked speechless by her words, but their lower jaws also nearly fell to the ground. Mr. Zhou nearly dropped his chopsticks again, but luckily, Yan managed to stop them from falling this time around. “Dad, if you drop them again, we don’t have another pair of chopsticks for you to use.”

Therefore, he could only hold onto his chopsticks tightly.

“Yan, you have not answered my question. Where did you get such a good-looking kid? It can’t be your friend’s kid, can it? Did you give birth to a kid without me knowing?” After all, Yan had not returned home in five years. Luo Huimei felt that it wasn’t all that surprising for her to bring back a child around that age.

“Mom! Stop with your ludicrous imagination! He is Little Bean, the son of my superior that I mentioned to you before; he also happens to be the son of Dad’s company’s president. Why don’t you stop to consider it; how is it possible for me to give birth to such a good-looking kid considering the way I look?”
