Shen Qi fell into his arms motionless. The effect of the medicine had taken away her energy and her last bit of consciousness.
The motion of Ye Moxuan unbuttoning his clothes was as if he were an obsolete robot.
Shen Qi watched him quietly with her eyes half open.
Their breathes were scorching.
After unbuttoning the last button, Ye Moxuan suddenly stood up from the wheelchair as he carried Shen Qi in his arms.
Shen Qi, who was dazed, didn’t even question how a handicapped managed to get up from the wheelchair.
She was carried to the bed in the bedroom and was put onto the soft mattress.
The back of her head sank into the soft pillows, and above her was a heavy and scorching body. The man’s dominating aura overwhelmed her, and his warm hands were scalding her waist, as if they were fire.
“I’m asking you one last time. Are you sure?”
Shen Qi did not answer him.
“You’re not going to regret it?”
He seemed to be talking to himself but wanting to subjugate her as well.
He approached her with his eyes squinted, and his thin lips fell on her upper lips as he asked, “Do you know who I am? I won’t save you if you answered incorrectly.”
But Shen Qi still wouldn’t show any reaction.
“Hmm?” Ye Moxuan held her up as his hands unbuckled her buttons at the back agilely. “Who am I?”
“Uh…” Shen Qi struggled to open her eyes to look at the man before her.
The figure was blurry at first, then it slowly focussed. She could recognize him with just one glance…
“Y-Ye Moxuan…” Ye Moxuan heard her utter softly.
He was finally satisfied, and his thin lips curved upward. He gently sucked her upper lips and replied, “Good girl.”
He finally stopped torturing her.
He was just like a hiker, getting rid of all the obstacles agilely, and he went straight up onto the mountain peak quickly.
When he arrived, Shen Qi felt a pain somewhere down, and she was awakened for a few seconds from the pain as her eyes opened widely.
At the moment, Ye Moxuan’s eyes were glimmering with lights of happiness, just like the starry night sky.
Shen Qi was startled, and her eyes were wide open. She just stared at him like that.

When she opened her eyes, she realized everything around her was in white, and there was the sound of the machines ticking, along with the smell of sterilizing fluid.

Shen Qi wanted to get up, but there was a strange soreness between her legs, and she felt as if all her bones were dislocated. She couldn’t move at all.
“You’re awake, Second Young Lady.” Madam Chen walked in with a thermal flask and looked at her gently.
Shen Qi nodded and greeted Madam Chen when she saw her.
She then lowered her head and started recalling what happened previously. She remembered… attending a banquet with Ye Moxuan and being taken away by Lu Xunchang.
The memories of what happened after she was being taken away poured into her mind like a tide, and Shen Qi couldn’t help but to scream instinctively out of shock.
Madam Chen was taken aback. She then quickly put the thermal flask on the table and asked, “What’s wrong, Second Young Lady? Are you not feeling well? Should I call the doctor?”
Shen Qi grabbed her wrist and asked anxiously, “Where’s Ye Moxuan? Where is he?”
She recalled that Lu Xunchang lighted the incense in the room and said that he wanted Ye Moxuan to suffer a pain he had never had before.
Shen Qi knew that pain! She had memories of Ye Moxuan coming to save her, but what happened after that… she couldn’t remember. It felt as if all her memories were crushed in her mind, and she couldn’t remember a single thing.
“Second Young Lady, calm down first. Second Young Master went home to get washed up. He should be here soon.”

Shen Qi finally sighed in relief. Thank god he is coming back.
She had lots of questions for him.
As she was drinking the chicken soup, Madam Chen suddenly spoke. “Second Young Lady, it’s not that I want to lecture you, but you young people should control yourselves. Getting yourself into the hospital because of that matter can be pretty harmful in the long run.”
Hearing that, Shen Qi’s movement froze. Her head tilted a little. Because of that matter?

“You guys should control yourselves even though you are newly-wed. You still have a long way to go, and there’s plenty of time. Second Young Lady, I really am warning you as a senior who has been through this. You won’t be mad at me, will you?”
Shen Qi put down the soup in her hands and muttered, “Madam Chen, I don’t quite… understand.”
Madam Chen was speechless.
How am I supposed to tell the Second Young Lady? Madam Chen thought for a while and suddenly pointed at Shen Qi’s neck.
Shen Qi instinctively looked toward the direction she was pointing at, but she couldn’t see anything.
