Nothing To Give But My Heart Chapter 1049

What?! Little Bean blinked his eyes as he looked at Yuchi Jin who was in front of him. Then, he blinked again while Yuchi Jin simply continued to gaze at him steadily. Although there was a faint trace of a smile on Yuchi Jin’s face and his eyes were narrowed into a thin line, the expression on his face and the undercurrent of emotions in his eyes indicated that not a single word he said had been a joke. Little Bean continued to blink in surprise. Don’t tell me… this is the solution Daddy came up with?

There was only one thought left running in circles inside his head, and that was… Have I been set up by Daddy? He didn’t want Great-Grandfather’s company, so he simply dumped such a huge company on me? He just dumped it onto a clueless 5-to-6-year-old kid! At that thought, he felt like crying. Bad daddy! A man who would hurt Mommy is a good-for-nothing after all! Now the target has been switched to me! This is so unfair!

“Little Bean?” Seeing as he was not answering, Yuchi Jin misunderstood; he thought that he did not understand. So, he explained once more, “Don’t worry, I did say that I will hand over the company to you, but it won’t happen immediately. I will wait until you have the necessary management skills. Look at it this way; in the future, you’ll own billions in assets.”

Little Bean tilted his head to one side. I’m only 6 years old and I’m already a multi-billionaire? That sounds amazing! However, he felt that having to manage such a large conglomerate was exhausting. Moreover, his dream was not to become a president like his daddy. My dream…

Pouting his lips, his expression revealed that he was rather reluctant to accept it. Yuchi Jin did not expect the outcome to turn out like this. Feeling slightly awkward, he said, “Little Bean, I won’t force you. If you don’t want to, you can take your time to think it over. Or, I can turn these assets into cash, and pass it to you. At least my little great-grandson will never have to worry about money in the future.”

Truthfully, this was not the right method—Little Bean would become spoiled. In the worst case, it could cause the child’s personality to become twisted. They would tend to spend lavishly wherever they went, thinking that there would always be a contingency in place. Not only that, but they would also think that there was no need for them to work hard in the future. However, if it was Little Bean, he believed that there was nothing to worry about.

Although he did not feel bad about giving everything he worked so hard to build up to his children and their families, he did feel that it was a bit unfortunate. At first, Little Bean was reluctant to accept it, but after careful consideration, he felt that accepting the deal would not affect his dreams anyway.

In any case, there was a long time to go until he became an adult. Besides, the company was so large; all he needed to do was find a person he could trust to manage the company when the time came. Afterward, he could just retreat into the shadows and pursue his dreams. Isn’t that a great idea?

“Great-Grandfather, please don’t think like that. I promise you that I’ll do it.”

“What did you say?” Yuchi Jin was ecstatic. “Are you being serious, Little Bean?”

The boy nodded. “Yeah.”

“Good! Good, good, good!” In his overjoyed state, Yuchi Jin repeated the word ‘good’ continuously. He continued, “Then, I should quickly tell your daddy about this joyous news!”

Little Bean sat where he was and blinked his eyes. Oh, I think I’m going to be very rich.

Three days later, Yuchi Jin brought Little Bean with him as they returned to China. Ye Moxuan and Han Muzi went to the airport to pick them up personally, then brought them back to Seabay Villa to stay. After returning to China, Little Bean spent a long time chatting away with his mother. He also made time to settle his grudge with his daddy, then had a video call with Yan. “Aunt Yan, I’m back! I miss eating the food you cook.”

Zhou Xiaoyan lived with this little guy for close to five years, and though they weren’t mother and son, their relationship was almost as close as a mother and a child. When she saw him acting coyly toward her, her heart softened instantaneously. “What a good boy! I’ll cook for you if you want to eat my cooking.”

“But, I heard from Mommy that you’ve resigned, Aunt Yan. Plus, you don’t live in that house we used to live in anymore.” The little guy looked very disappointed, and even the tip of his eyebrows seemed sad. “Where did you go, Aunt Yan? Do you not want to see me anymore?”

Yan replied, “What are you talking about? Where are you right now? I’ll go and pick you up, okay?”

30 minutes later, she arrived at the Seabay Villa in a taxi and saw Little Bean waiting for her from afar. “Sir, can you wait here for me? I still need a ride back later.”

The driver nodded his head. “Sure.”

She got out of the car and closed the door; she hurried over to him. While she was walking over, she took off the scarf around her neck almost subconsciously and wrapped it around him the moment she came close. “The weather is so cold; why didn’t you bring a scarf with you? Besides, why are you here alone? Where are your parents?”

“Daddy and Mommy are together, so I decided not to disturb them.”

Staring down at his cheeky expression, she wanted to laugh. She reached out and pinched his cheeks as she softly admonished him. “How can you be so cheeky?”

Little Bean blinked. “Was I wrong, Aunt Yan? Daddy told me that although I’m back, I must not carelessly interrupt their alone time together.”

Yan was speechless. She could not believe that Ye Moxuan acted like that in private. Feeling a little exasperated and embarrassed, she quickly changed the topic. “Alright then. But you have to send them a message later saying that you’re out with me. Otherwise, your mommy would worry herself to death when she can’t find you.”

Obediently, he nodded. After that, Yan brought him into the car. The moment they got into the car, he noticed a thermal container in the car and became excited. “Aunt Yan, did you bring this for me?” Finishing his sentence, he hugged the thermal container to his body and prepared to open it up.

Seeing the excitement on his little face, she couldn’t bear to burst his bubble. However, she was bringing this thermal container to the hospital; if he ate it up, then there would be none left. Thus, she reluctantly stopped him. “Erm, Little Bean, the food in the thermal container isn’t for you, so you can’t eat it.”

His hands paused mid-movement. After a while, he lifted his head and asked with a gloomy expression, “Do you have another baby with somebody else, Aunt Yan?”

Yan couldn’t think of what to say in response.

“You’re so bad, Aunt Yan!” Pushing the thermal container back to her, he huffily crossed his arms together and retreated to a corner of the car; he turned his back on her and ignored her. Be that as it may, he looked extremely adorable like that.

Even the driver couldn’t help laughing a little at the sight of him. “Young lady, who is this child to you? He is so adorable, and handsome too.”

The corners of her mouth twitched, then she replied, “He is my friend’s kid. Don’t praise him; he becomes big headed easily.”

“Little Bean,” Yan called out to him, but he snorted loudly and continued to ignore her. Not sure whether to laugh or cry at the situation, she explained, “I’m bringing this to the hospital; do you understand?”

Little Bean instantly noticed the gravity of the situation at the mention of ‘hospital’. Turning around abruptly, he asked, “Aunt Yan, is somebody sick?”
