Chapter 6171
‘Formosa? Pickled in chemicals? Skin cancer…?’
Everyone froze before instinctively throwing the beads on the table.
They were all prominent figures; their lives were worth a lot more compared to an ordinary person.
They ate supplements every single day just so they could live a long life without problems.
But if the beads were to cause skin cancer…
The men showed horrible expressions, while the women were on the verge of screaming.
“Formosa? How did you know…?”
Reggie quickly explained his situation.
“You’re lying! My father brought them back from the Desert Province! How could they be from Formosa if that was the case?! You’re ridiculous!”
Clack!
Harvey casually split the pink bead into two in front of the crowd.
“If the beads actually had history, the color would be the exact same on the inside.
“People who aren’t blind can already tell here. The color’s only on the surface.
“Even chemicals can’t do that.
“I wouldn’t even give a single dollar to buy this.”
Reggie gritted his teeth; he had no intention of admitting his fault.
“These aren’t beads from Formosa! They’re not!”
Harvey smiled; he chucked the pink bead into the trash can, then disdainfully wiped his fingers with wet wipes on the table.
Everyone was dead silent.
Nobody would stand up against Reggie…
But they weren’t idiots, either.
Harvey provided all the proof needed; Reggie’s face was bright red as well. All of this was enough to show a lot of problems.
Almost everyone started to wipe their fingers as well, afraid that they’d actually get skin cancer if they were even a second slower.
Anne’s mouth twitched; she wanted to say something, but she ended up setting Reggie’s car key on the table before taking a step back.
She was afraid of the key being covered by the same chemicals.
At that moment, Reggie desperately wanted to dig himself a hole.
“I won’t forget this, kid!”
Reggie screamed furiously at Harvey before stumbling out of the place.
No matter how shameless he was, he’d have no choice but to leave after being humiliated like this.
After a moment of silence, Anne gritted her teeth before finally speaking up.
“You’ve ruined us all, Harvey! Young Master Reggie’s a narrow- minded man! He probably hates us all now!”
Harvey glared at Anne. “If you string up the beads and wear it in front of him, not only would he not hate you… He’d probably treat you like his sweetheart, too.”
Bam!
Anne slammed her hands on the table, filled with unbridled rage. “What are you saying? Do you think I’m stupid or something? You want me to die or what?”
“Since you know that much, then why aren’t you thanking me yet?” Harvey retorted.
“I don’t need you to grovel, but at least let me finish the meal before anything else.
“If it wasn’t for me, you’d all live a few years shorter.”
