Harvey York’s Rise to Power Chapter 6168

Chapter 6168

Harvey felt a little moved after hearing Mandy’s words.

No matter how bad her temper was-no matter what happened between the two…

One thing was for sure: she would always stand with him.

“Heh! He must be pretty good at his job, then!”

Anne snuffed out her cigar, smirking coldly.

“I wouldn’t even look for someone like this at the club! I’d at least get myself someone with an eight-pack, or a trainee from Country J!

“You haven’t seen enough men, Mandy! Maybe I should take you for a stroll in Country J! You’ll finally understand what you’re missing out on after that!”

Mandy glared coldly at her. “I’m not interested in hooking up.”

Anne curled her lips.

“Everyone in the circle knows each other! How are you supposed to act like a wealthy lady without a few pretty boys around?”

The women smiled after hearing those words.

They hadn’t experienced what Anne did themselves, but they had been hearing about it for the longest time.

The men felt slightly awkward, and glared disdainfully at Harvey.

‘How can he be so shameless? He must be real good at this job or something!’

The door was pushed open once again.

A handsome and gentle-looking man in a Givenchy haute couture suit with golden-rimmed glasses entered.

He raised his hand to look at his Vacheron Constantin watch with a smile on his face.

“Sorry, everyone. It’s the city’s peak hours; you all understand. No matter how big my rundown second-hand car is, it can’t do anything but crawl at a snail’s pace in a city like this!”

Everyone burst out laughing after hearing the self-deprecating joke.

Anne, who had been showing a horrible expression, started twisting a strand of her hair before coming forward with a seductive look on her face.

“You’re finally here, Young Master Reggie!” she said while wrapping herself around his arm.

“The room’s a lot less grand without you here! Come! Come! Have a seat! You can just drink as a punishment for being late!”

“You can’t bully me like this, Ms. Anne! I’m not that good of a drinker!” Reggie said.

“Besides, you can’t blame me! Blame my stupid car!

“People online were saying that drivers would always avoid second-hand cars!

“It didn’t feel that way when I drove mine! I’ll have to buy an Aventador to see if it gets better next time!”

Reggie kept boasting about his second-hand car for some reason.

“You’re kidding, Young Master Reggie! You think I don’t know that you were driving a Porsche Panamera? If that’s a rundown car, then what about our Mercedes and BMWs?”  F in o vels. c om

“Come on! Porsches are rundown cars, right? I wasn’t lying!”

Discreetly showing off would always be the deadliest form of flaunting.

The crowd froze for a moment before coming to their senses.

The beautiful women felt a little surprised; Wolsing was a place filled with extremely wealthy people…

Even so, not everyone here could afford a Porsche Panamera.
