Chapter 6160
The four black-suited men hesitated momentarily before putting their firearms away.
Leighton Xavier took a deep breath, then approached Harvey York with a forced smile.
“I’m sorry, young man!
“My daughter’s been pampered her entire life! She’s just being rude!
“Please! Be the better person and ignore her!
“Carmen! Get over here and apologize!”
Carmen stumbled off the ground with a horrible look.
“Mr. Leighton…” she said while the corner of her mouth twitched nonstop.
Leighton’s face darkened.
Carmen approached Harvey after seeing Leighton getting mad again.
“I’m sorry!” she exclaimed with resentment.
“I told you before.
“And I’m telling you this again.
“What’s the point of the law if an apology’s enough?”
Harvey looked like a powerless man when he uttered those words before…
But now, he was an upperclassman looking down on his subjects.
Carmen thought nothing would happen to her even if Harvey called the cops…
But she had a strong feeling that she was wrong then.
“It was all my fault!”
Leighton’s expression kept changing before deeply bowing in front of Harvey.
“I’ll make sure that you get an explanation for this!
“If there’s anything you’d like, just let me know right now!”
Harvey looked at Leighton.
“Take everyone and turn yourselves in.
“Let the police handle everything else.
“Don’t worry.
“Neil’s in charge of the Desert Province.
“Nobody can make things any harder for you people.”
Leighton’s eyes twitched after hearing Neil Osborne’s name.
“Right! We’ll send ourselves out then!” he said after showing a quick smile.
“I’ll take my daughter there this instant!”
Leighton turned around and left.
Carmen and the others looked at each other before standing frozen in place.
‘Leighton gave up…?’
When Carmen and the others left, Harvey returned to his seat before resting his eyes.
Many passengers were still checking in, and the stewardesses were not in the cabin yet. No one had any idea what happened here. f i no ve l s . c om
At the Outskirts International Airport.
Leighton walked out of the main hall with the others behind him.
Carmen briefly hesitated before speaking.
“Are we just going to let this slide, Uncle?”
“Let this slide?
Leighton let out a cold chuckle.
“Impossible.
“I’m turning all of us in at the police station, right?
“But don’t worry. Even if we’re dealing with Neil…
“According to the law, we’d be fined and locked up for a short while.
“I’ll bail you if I have to. I’d only lose some money at most. Our schedule won’t be delayed.”
Carmen looked at the others. They were already out of the plane, yet Leighton still intended to turn them all in.
Leighton lit a thin and long cigar.
“That kid’s not an ordinary person. It doesn’t matter if he’s actually capable of causing us trouble…
“Before figuring out his identity, it’s better that we admit to our faults.”
