Chapter 6014
The man’s pupils shrunk; he didn’t expect his Rainstorm Needles would miss. Before he said anything, Harvey casually plucked a needle off the wall and flicked his finger.
Pfft!
The needle went straight into the man’s chest.
His body froze in disbelief when he saw this. He stumbled back before falling to the ground, and dark blood seeped out of his mouth.
He raised his head to look at Harvey with a horrible expression. He didn’t understand why he’d be so powerless against Harvey.
Harvey took a step forward and kicked the man down, then poked the man’s heart with the tip of his toes to prevent the venom from seeping in.
“You’re pretty good, but I can still tell that you’re from the
Smalt Sect no matter how much you try to hide it. Did Amos or Stefan send you?”
The man’s eyes twitched after realizing that his identity was exposed that easily.
“Enough talk, you bastard!” he exclaimed, glaring coldly at Harvey, having no intention of backing down.
“Kill me if you dare! Let me tell you something! You’re going against people that you never should’ve! You’ll suffer a horrible death soon enough!”
It’d be best for the man if Harvey was enraged enough that he’d deal the final blow.
“Is that so?”
“A lot of people want me dead nowadays, but those people are all dead. I know a sacrificial soldier like you would never give up until the very end…but I have a way to make you speak.”
The man was filled with disdain; he didn’t believe a single word Harvey said.
Harvey pulled out his phone before calling Romina.
Not only did he want everything out of the man, but he also wanted the testimony to become solid evidence. After all, it was only natural to return the favor since someone wanted him to be the scapegoat.
Romina had been in the outskirts for the longest time. Since she had connections from both the government and the underworld, it’d be a safe bet to give the job to her.
At the same time, in the courtyard where Amos stayed for the time being.
He had been reading the same book more than a dozen times already, but he still wasn’t able to hold his temper back.
The two energies inside him that were supposed to be in harmony had been clashing a lot more.
Amos was an expert martial artist and a God of War. He could tell that if he didn’t deal with the problem soon enough, he’d die for sure.
He was completely torn.
He didn’t want to give up on his training, but he didn’t want to let others know about his condition either-his master included.
But in that case, he’d end up dying after going berserk.
He wanted to try giving Harvey a chance…but he knew that, based on their relationship, his life would become a living hell if Harvey actually tried anything.
Amos’s face was glum. The usually cunning man had no idea how to make the correct decision.
