Chapter 6010
Harvey waved his hand, signaling Kali to send two more cups of tea. A cup was set in front of Amos.
Harvey wasn’t fond of Amos. There was simply no point in fighting against a dying man, anyway.
Amos slowly sipped his tea to calm his shock. He then looked deep into Harvey’s eyes.
“What would you do to deal with a situation like this?”
Amos showed a profound gaze, determined to see through Harvey’s every thought.
“Simple.”
Harvey shrugged.
“Cripple your training. Start over. Don’t forget to not train in two different martial arts at once. Just pick one.
“Either that, or you combine both energies into one. You’d need to invent a brand-new martial art with the fundamentals of the two you already learned, though.
“Not only would that calm your energies, it’d take your skills to the next level. It might seem pretty difficult for you, however…”
Harvey looked at Amos bitterly.
“Either I cripple myself, or I combine my energies…”
Amos let out a sigh.
“You’re a smart man. You should know that someone like me would never choose the first option.
“If I cripple myself, my enemies will never give me another chance to rise. They’ll do anything in their power to stop me.
“My best bet is to combine my energies. It’s a shame. I don’t have a lot of talents to invent a new martial art for that. Would you be able to do that?”
“If you let me see what you can do… It wouldn’t be difficult at all. But, there’s always a price,” Harvey said.
Amos sighed, then looked coldly at Harvey.
“If you can deal with my problem, I’ll hand you all seven Eyed Beads. How does that sound?
“Still, this is pretty troublesome! My martial arts are secrets of the Smalt Sect. My master will strangle me if I let you see them! I’m afraid you’ll have to give me some time to convince him.”
Harvey smiled.
“I understand. After all, the Smalt Sect would suffer a fate worse than death if I found out about your secret martial arts.
“I can promise you this. If you show me the two martial arts and agree to my condition… I’ll save you, no matter if you’re friend or foe.
“Since you’ve been practicing steadily, I think you’d be at the edge of breaking through despite constantly suppressing your energies.
“Don’t call me when there’s a funeral. I can’t save dead people!”
Amos stood up with a faint smile.
“Don’t worry, Master York. Since this is about my survival… I’ll make sure to give you a reply as soon as I can.”
