Chapter 6005
Harvey didn’t know that Amos was making plans against him.
After heading back to the No.1 villa, he looked curiously at Dorian in front of his seat. At the same time, he had a stack of documents about Dorian in his hand.
The top talent of Longmen twenty years ago… Hiding and waiting for the longest time.
Yet there was no information about Dorian’s swordsmanship, the thing that Harvey cared for the most.
After casually flipping through the pages, Harvey handed Dorian a cup of tea with a smile.
“You should be able to be the vice master of Longmen if you want to, Mr. Dorian. Why would you stay in a place like the outskirts?” he asked.
“Young Master…” Dorian said after hesitating for a moment. “I stayed here because I knew Henrik would be back one day. I wasn’t able to deal with the traitor back then. I was soft. Now that he’s back, I must end the grudge myself.”
Harvey froze.
“Traitor? Can you start from the beginning? If I remember correctly, you and Henrik had a conflict because of the branch leader’s position, right?”
“On the surface, yes.”
Dorian chuckled lightly.
“But think about it. Why would I need to pretend to be crippled for twenty whole years if that was the case?
“Back then, Henrik wanted to exchange Longmen’s martial art for America’s genetic science so he could modify his body… I managed to find out about that.
“He had been trying to be in America’s good graces, desperately trying to turn the outskirts into their bridgehead.”
Harvey frowned.
“Normally speaking, Henrik belongs to the Wolven Tribe and the Higgs family. He’s also a part of Longmen’s outskirts branch. Why would someone like that side with the enemy in the first place?”
“I’m to blame for this.”
Dorian let out a sigh.
“Twenty years ago, my father was an elder of the outskirts branch. He knows how strong I am. That was why, before Henrik and I sparred, he already asked the branch leader to hand me his position.
“Henrik was furious when he knew about it. He said there was no point in sparring, since I was already appointed as the new branch leader.
“That was why he decided to betray Longmen and sold a lot of its information to America. In those years, his contributions had caused the four cornerstones to suffer huge losses overseas.”
Dorian showed a bitter expression.
Harvey froze, confused.
He could understand Henrik’s feelings.
It was unfair for Dorian to be appointed as the new branch leader before the outcome of the sparring.
However, Henrik was being a little too extreme; before he figured out the entire truth, he had already decided on treason just because of a mere setback.
Harvey wouldn’t have allowed betrayal of this degree, but from Dorian’s perspective…
