Harvey York’s Rise to Power Chapter 5969

Chapter 5969

“Everyone in the outskirts knows Mr. Neil has no hobbies other than painting and calligraphy!

“It’s supposed to be something elegant, but worms like you keep finding opportunities to bribe him!

“I hate shameless people like you the most!

“Countless righteous officials get bribed by people like you!

“More importantly, everything you have here is a complete set!

“You’re telling me you’re not planning to give this all to Mr. Neil one by one?!

“Are you telling me this isn’t your plan to bribe him?!

“You’re heinous!”

“Do you think this is all a gift to him just because it’s an expensive set?

“You think he’s that impressive?”

“Keep pretending!”

Abner Sallow waved his hand before someone brought the bottle of Phoenix Ink.

“This is what we obtained from Mr. Neil’s home!

“That’s right! The one you gave him!

“Your fingerprints are on it! Once we collect enough evidence…

“You’re done for!

“Admit that you were going to gift these to Mr. Neil so you could bribe him!

“I’ll also lighten your sentence if you do!

“But if you don’t, get ready to be locked behind bars for the rest of your life!”

Abner crossed his arms, looking as if he had seen through Harvey’s tricks.

Harvey smirked.

“If you’re going to talk about the law, then I’ll play along.

“If I remember correctly, even if giving gifts is considered a bribe, they’d have to be worth at least seven hundred dollars.”

“Are you saying that these don’t cost that much?

“Do you think I’m stupid or what?”

Abner showed a wretched glare.

“Sorry, but these really aren’t worth anything.”

Harvey casually opened the shopping app on his phone.

“I bought all these online at a discount.

“They’re three dollars in total.

“It’s not considered a bribe giving these out now, is it?

“Besides, do you think I can bribe Mr. Neil with these alone?

“Are you looking down on Mr. Neil? Or are you overestimating me?”

Abner’s eyes twitched after seeing the shopping order.

His logic was telling him that Harvey would never give out gifts like these…

But the order showing on the phone had proven otherwise.

“Hmph! No matter the case, the gifts are still a bribe!”

Abner returned to his senses.

He could not find any incriminating evidence against Harvey, but he could not just leave either.

“Come! Close off the entire place, then drag him back for interrogation!

“We’ll get something out of him sooner or later!”

The others hesitated for a moment before stepping forward.

After all, they came with a mission in mind.

Completing it would benefit everyone greatly…

But if not, they would probably die horrible deaths.

These people were instinctively showing gloomy looks.

“Are you arresting someone without proper evidence?

“Do you really think you can do whatever you please just because you’re from Dragon Cell?”

Harvey squinted at Abner, smilingly.
