Harvey York’s Rise to Power Chapter 5962

Chapter 5962

The next day, five o’clock in the afternoon.

When he showed up at the Outskirts Courtyard, Harvey York held an exquisite box.

This was a building for government officials. The outskirts was the capital of the Desert Province, and the building would hold most of the important officials here.

As the second-in-command of the Desert Province, Neil Osborne had his independent courtyard.

Harvey followed the address provided by Dutch Cobb before arriving at the courtyard.

Two inspectors with firearms stood beside the entrance. One of them stepped forward and saluted Harvey after seeing his face.

“Hello, sir.

“This is private property. You’re not allowed entry.”

Harvey smiled.

“I’m looking for Mr. Neil. Please send word for me.

“Tell him that I’m Harvey York.

“I’m a friend of Dutch, the first-in-command of the Outskirts Police Station.”

The inspector nodded slightly before hurrying into the compound.

Around ten minutes later, he came back.

“This way, please.”

After walking past a field of flowers and grass, Harvey finally entered the main hall of the villa.

The hall was completely empty. The inspector gave Harvey a quick gesture before casually leaving.

Harvey stood alone in the spacious hall.

By now, any ordinary person would desperately find a hole to jump into.

Harvey was not bothered by the situation at all. Crossing his arms, he went to the corner of the hall and admired the calligraphy painting on the walls.

Every single stroke of the calligraphy felt fierce and powerful.

The ink paintings on the walls offered little to see, but they were enough to demonstrate the painter’s immense talent.

Harvey looked odd when he saw the signature. It was actually Neil.

It was normal for middle-aged people to have hobbies anyway.

Neil was a man with simple and frugal hobbies.

This was the only way to avoid being tempted by the people who gave extravagant gifts.

People could not just send him a few inks just because he liked drawing.

No matter how expensive they could get, it simply would not matter.

When Harvey pondered the thought, a middle-aged woman stepped out from the deeper parts of the hall.

“You’re the one who wants to see Neil?

“Don’t you know that he’s a workaholic? He won’t come home unless it’s after ten.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re here to ask for a favor or send him a gift. I’m afraid I’ll have to let you down.”

Harvey looked at where the sound came from before seeing an exotic beauty with nice curves in the corridor.

The woman was at least forty years old, but there were few tell- tale signs except for the faint lines at the corners of her eyes and the dark purple dress.

No matter how it seemed, the woman was surely unparalleled when she was young.

Harvey squinted; he could recognize who the woman was.

Her name was Andie Quinlan, a member of the top ten families. Marrying Neil propelled the Quinlan family’s reputation.

With the support of the top ten families and the five hidden families, Andie could not help but feel extremely arrogant.
