Harvey York’s Rise to Power Chapter 5941

Chapter 5941

After a moment, sounds of high heels clacking could be heard from the corridor.

They came at a steady pace. However, the rhythm gave off an unspeakable sense of evil. Those with less courage would’ve fallen to the ground and on their knees by now.

Miley’s face instantly went deathly pale as soon as she heard the footsteps. Romina’s expression changed as well; she could tell that the person making that sound was clearly extraordinary. Harvey, on the other hand, was casually making some more tea.

Soon after, the door was pushed open soon after.

Xyla and Emil showed up at the same time. They were both swirling their glass, sipping their wine calmly in the process. The smell of alcohol wafted in the air.

Behind them, the disciples of the Smalt Sect and a group of American experts watched on with cold expressions.

The air tensed up in an instant. It was the kind of thing that could stop children from crying at night.

The people glanced around, then spotted the badge on the ground with a hole in it. Immediately after, they looked at Harvey.

The disciples were filled with rage, but they wouldn’t do anything without Xyla’s command.

Xyla casually sat in front of Harvey, sizing him up.

“You were the one who took down my men and broke my badge?” she said, smiling.

Her gentle words made it seem like a conversation between two lovers. For some reason, a grim sensation could be felt in her tone, sending shivers down people’s spines.

Anyone who glanced at her could only think of her as a femme fatale. Even experienced scumbags wouldn’t dare get close to women like her without thinking twice!

However, Harvey only smiled after being confronted this way.

“That’s right. I did all that. I didn’t even know where this guy came from.

“He pulled out some stupid piece of metal, running his mouth about it being the Smalt Sect’s badge. I love my peace and quiet. And I’ll take out anyone who disturbs that.

“Do you understand me?”

Harvey’s calm words were filled with dominance, angering many disciples. The Smalt Sect had been alive for more than a thousand years, but this was their first time hearing someone talk to them this way.

Emil sized up Harvey curiously.

He came from Chinatown; he often heard others say that Country H was a massive country without many talents.

However, Harvey’s attitude made it seem like he was actually capable.

Judging from Emil’s status, though, he wouldn’t care no matter how capable Harvey was anyway.

“Not bad. Not bad at all.”

Xyla reached out to Harvey’s tea, and took a sip of it.

“It’s been many years since someone talked to me this way. You’re the first, but you’ll also be the last. Do you know what that means?” she said.

The air instantly turned colder.

“I’m the last one? Are you saying that you’ll die soon?” Harvey asked with a curious expression.
