Chapter 5831
Seeing such a grand sight, Harvey sighed quietly.
Aside from him and the Surrey family, not a lot of people were willing to see the beads sent to the Aenar Temple.
If that were to actually happen, the sect would become everyone’s target. For the rest, acquiring the beads would be near-impossible.
After all, the Great Wall’s strength was incredibly terrifying.
An expert martial artist who had secluded himself for his training whenever he wanted was naturally no easy target.
Besides, the Aenar Temple’s power was almost on par with the other two great temples.
It’d be normal for the Aenar Temple to ask them for assistance in escorting the Eyed Beads. Many sects would get involved in the conflict; even a prominent figure like Stefan would get a headache about it.
Outsiders wouldn’t care; all they knew was that it’d be very hard to deliver the beads.
Harvey fully understood. Other than him and the Surrey family, nobody else wished for the beads to arrive safely.
Of course, many would pretend to support the cause.
Harvey followed Lennon to the entrance, impressed by the forces’ hypocrisy.
The Aenar Temple’s trail into the mountains had been there since ancient times. Even a horse wouldn’t be able to pass through, let alone a car. Anyone who wanted to climb the mountain had to do so with their own strength.
The people in charge of the entrance’s security were naturally from the Surrey family; they quickly bowed as soon as they saw Lennon before allowing the group to pass.
While carefully looking around the mountain trail, Mandy said quietly, “The security here is pretty tight. At this point, there’s no way for anyone to stop the beads from being delivered…
“The outskirts will all focus on the Aenar Temple soon enough.
“Because of the ceremony, the sect has garnered a lot of attention. Judging from this, all sorts of forces would be gathered here when the ceremony begins…”
Harvey smiled.
“There are a lot of conflicts in this big show. Things aren’t as simple as it seems.
“The experts in charge of security can’t be trusted, either… As long as they harbor ulterior motives, it wouldn’t be hard for them to ambush us when we’re halfway up the mountain.”
Mandy looked at him, confused. “I know they have ulterior motives, but they wouldn’t do something like this now, would they?”
Harvey sighed.
“To be honest, I hope they actually do everything as I speculated, but it was too simple of a scenario in the first place… They’re not stupid. As for what they’ll do, I have no idea at all…”
Harvey felt his hand vibrate as a surge of texts came to his phone.
