Half an hour later, the car stopped outside a huge manor in the outskirts’ suburbs.
This was the Kronen Temple’s property. A wealthy disciple had donated it a while ago. Not only was it very elegant -looking, it was also equipped with all sorts of safety facilities.
Julie had prepared a courtyard for Mandy to rest, while also getting Rhodes one right beside Mandy’s.
Simply put, he could reach Mandy immediately if he wanted to.
Harvey didn’t say anything about it, though; he was certain that with Mandy’s personality, nothing would happen even if she stayed in the same room with Rhodes.
However, she was his wife, so he was still worried. He considered fully committing to his job as her personal bodyguard by staying here as well.
After settling their things, the two were about to rest. Just then, Julie’s secretary knocked on the door. She entered, and bowed to Mandy.
“Ms. Zimmer, the representatives of the four great tribes would like you see you.”
“The four great tribes?”
Mandy froze; she couldn’t wrap her head around the situation.
Harvey could guess what was going on, but he didn’t say anything about it.
Mandy didn’t think too much about the situation; she gave the secretary a reply before changing into a different set of clothes. After that, she brought Harvey to the living room.
Not just Julie, but Rhodes was here as well.
A young man was seen standing with his arms crossed. It was Ernie.
Harvey narrowed his eyes, then walked quietly into a corner of the room. As of now, he didn’t know what was wrong with the four great tribes.
Mandy and the others stepped forward.
“Maiden Julie, Ms. Zimmer.”
Ernie greeted Julie and Mandy; he didn’t see Harvey at all.
Julie frowned; since Ernie wasn’t here for her, she didn’t plan to say anything about Harvey.
Ernie smiled, ignoring the rest. “Ms. Zimmer, I came here in place of the four great tribes for a request. I hope you can lend a hand.”
Mandy paused before saying, “Please, as long as it’s within my power, I’ll do anything I can.”
“It’s nothing that big, honestly.”
Ernie showed her a sincere expression.
“You must’ve heard the rumors circling here for the past few days.
“The Surreys are planning to transport three of the Eyed Beads to the Aenar Temple. The Aenar Temple is treating this matter of the highest importance, too.
“Our family is afraid anything bad might happen, so we’ve already asked the other three great tribes for security help.
“After hearing that the top ten families have gathered in the outskirts, on behalf of the four great tribes, our family would like to ask you all to help protect the beads as well.
“Of course, this is just a request. You can decline if you find it inconvenient.”
Mandy’s face darkened after hearing those words, while Julie wore a dumbfounded expression.
This was a scheme! A blatant scheme!
The Surreys knew that the other three great tribes, along with the top ten families, were interested in the beads…
And yet, they were still invited to protect them!
