Nobody could sense the growing tension between Mandy Zimmer and Harvey York.
They were all excitedly looking at Rhodes Wright.
“Since you’re here, do you mind appraising the beads?
“There’s a huge chance that they’re from a roadside stall. It’d probably taint your eyes, but we should take the opportunity to reveal that man’s true colors.
“You’d be able to figure this out quickly, right?”
Rhodes smiled at Mandy before looking around him.
“I’m a part of the team that Ms. Zimmer hired.
“Since she asked me to, there’s no reason for me to refuse.”
Rhodes picked up the beads on the table before taking a closer look.
Then, he took a deep breath before finally speaking.
“These two beads are at least a thousand years old.
“These are called Millenium Beads. They’re beads of the legendary Medicine Avatar.
“The beads have been used as medicine since ancient times.
“Wearing the beads long-term would remove sickness from one’s body and promote sleep.”
Everyone froze. Mandy looked deep into Harvey’s eye.
“Are these valuable?” asked Whitley Cobb instinctively.
Rhodes briefly pondered about it.
“It’s not that easy to determine. For those who like them, it’s priceless; for those who don’t, these would be useless.”
Aliza Howell showed a triumphant expression after her initial shock.
“You see? I told you, Harvey…”
“That said, I can give an estimate,” said Rhodes before Aliza could finish her sentence.
“I remember three years ago, there was a five-hundred-year-old bead that showed up at an auction in Hong Kong.
“The final price was 1.7 million dollars.
“These two beads should be way more than that.”

Whitley Cobb looked back at Harvey.

He did not expect the gift from Aria Surrey, and the others would be this shocking.

Mandy suddenly stood up in her high heels before walking to the door.
“Since we’re done talking, I won’t bother you with your celebration here.
She furiously stomped on Harvey’s feet when she came beside him.
“Oh! I’m sorry. Are you alright?”
Mandy smiled.
Harvey’s eyes twitched before letting out a bitter chuckle.
“It’s fine. Since we’re both from big cities, why don’t we exchange contacts so we can talk sometime?”
“No need. You’re Mr. Harlan’s son-in-law. I wouldn’t dare ask for your number.”
Then, Mandy left with her entourage.
Rhodes also curiously glanced at Harvey before leaving.
