Chapter 5790
“Buy a damn villa here if you’re really capable!
“I’ll admit you’re not a kept man after that!”
Aliza Howell showed a proud expression when she found a chance to reclaim her pride.
The beautiful women behind her were chuckling after hearing those words.
“You shouldn’t keep complicating things for him, Aliza.”
“Do you even know how much a villa here costs?”
“Every property here is fifteen million dollars on average!”
“The No. 1 villa is at least a few hundred million!”
“A poor sob like him wouldn’t be able to buy something like that!”
“He would never get the money after working for eight different lifetimes!”
Judith Pedler wanted to speak up after hearing all the insults, but Harvey York raised his hand to stop her.
He did not know why Aliza despised him this much, but he did not feel the need to act either.
Harvey casually pointed at the peak of the mountain outside the window.
“Since you all know the No.1 villa, there’s no need for explanations.
“That villa’s mine.”
“Yours?”
Aliza paused before she let out a scoff.
“At least be a little realistic with your bluff!
“The entire outskirts know the No. 1 villa belongs to the Surrey family!
“How dare you claim it’s yours?!
“You’re shameless!”
The beautiful women cacked while looking at Harvey, as if he was an idiot.
“Are you going to say the beads you gave Billie and Judith are worth something too?”
“I don’t know the price, but the beads are at least a thousand years old. It should have some value, to say the least.”
“A thousand years old?
Aliza was amused.
“Do you know what that even means?
“You think your beads are from ancient dynasties?
“Do you really think that’s possible?”
“Harvey, you’re telling me this thing’s at least a thousand years old ..?
Whitley came to her senses before coming closer to inspect the bead, but she could not find anything special about it.
“What is it?”
“The Surrey family gave this to me. I glanced and figured they were at least a thousand years old. That said, I’m afraid we’ll need an actual appraiser to figure out what they are.”
“Keep pretending!
Aliza scoffed.
“Why would they even give you something like this?!
“Then, just say Mr. Lennon gave you the No. 1 villa too!”
“He did give me that.”
Aliza was completely infuriated after hearing those words.
“You’re actually shameless…”
Judith briefly hesitated.
“Forget it, Harvey. There’s no point in arguing with her.
“The Higgs family has a group of appraisers as guests.
“If…”
Judith wanted to de-escalate the situation…
But Aliza suddenly had an idea after hearing those words.
“Right! Mrs. Whitley! You invited a bunch of appraisers today, right?
“Let them figure out if the beads are actually a thousand years old!
“I’ll kneel in front of Harvey as an apology if that were the case!”
“Just forget it. It’s bad luck for someone like you to kneel before me anyway.”
