Billie Higgs instinctively opened her box before seeing another broken dark blue bead.
It looked identical to the one Judith Pedler had. Both of them were old and worn out.
Before Billie even said anything, Aliza Howell had spoken again.
“Throw that trash out of here, Billie!
“How dare he use something like this to provoke you?
“He’s heinous!
“Not only is he trying to hook up with you, he’s also making advances with Judith!
“He’s insane!”
Everyone started glaring disdainfully at Harvey.
“Get this man out of here, Ms. Billie!” said a few of Billie and Judith’s pursuers.
“That’s right! This is a gathering of upperclassmen! This guy’s lowering everyone’s standards here! It’s humiliating!”
“I like whatever Harvey gives me anyway,” Judith replied.
Billie quickly mediated the situation with an awkward smile.
“It’s just a small gathering, everyone. There’s no need to prepare anything in the first place.”
“I know that you have an arranged marriage with this guy, but you can’t just let him off the hook because of this, right?”
Aliza had already disdained Harvey since the beginning. More importantly, in her mind, Harvey was just a poor student who was decent at fighting.
He simply had no right to be with Billie.
He was not worthy to be in the upper social circle either.
People in the circle had immense identities, statuses, connections, and money.
Fighters were only good at defending homes anyway.
Only rich heirs like her boyfriend, Winston Osborne, would be worthy of someone like Billie.
Naturally, she was not aware that Asher Klein had kneeled before Harvey.
“The family bought villa No. 99, but it’s at least 7.3 million dollars, right?
“Why would you let a poor sob like him contaminate the air here and ruin the class?!
“You’ll reduce the valuation of the house because of that!”
Everyone started showing disgust in their eyes after hearing Aliza’s words.
Billie felt speechless. She had no idea how to explain her situation.
She was not going to spell it out to Aliza that Harvey had an immense identity.
Aliza crossed her arms with a proud look as if celebrating her victory.
“If you don’t like Asher, I can always introduce you to other wealthy heirs!
“That way, you’ll know the kind of men worthy of your love!
“A poor sob like Harvey can never be with a goddess like you!”
Judith scoffed. Clearly, she was upset with what Aliza said.
“How dare you, Aliza?
“Did you forget that Harvey saved us?
“Even if you’re entirely ungrateful, this isn’t something you should be saying either!
“Besides, this is the Higgs family’s big day! Where’s your respect?!
“Are you jealous or what?!”
Judith was usually calm, but her tongue was as sharp as ever.
“Respect him?” Aliza scoffed.
“You think I didn’t look into him?
“He’s just a poor sob who’s been leeching off Billie’s family since he arrived here!
“He actually thinks he’s capable of something!”
