The Klein family was filled with shock; even Sierra’s jaw dropped in disbelief.
Harvey sighed before opening the box; his eyes brightened as soon as he saw what was inside.
It was the Nine-Eyed Bead.
“The Nine-Eyed Bead?! The holy item passed down by our ancestors? That old fox actually gave it to you?!”
Ten o’clock at night, in the room of a clubhouse. Romina held the Nine-Eyed Bead, her entire body twitching.
Dutch found a microscope to look at the bead for a long time before sighing.
“It’s real… This is the legendary Nine-Eyed Bead.”
Even with his extensive knowledge of the Klein family, Dutch still couldn’t accept that fact.
Harvey shrugged.
“They wanted my One-Eyed Bead in the first place…but I ended up taking their bead instead.
“I kept pushing it away, but Preston still insisted, saying that he didn’t want the family to be ruined by greed…
“I had no choice. Besides, I came here for these beads in the first place. After all…”
Harvey sighed.
He wasn’t in a rush to grab the One-Eyed Bead that he left with the Surrey family. Then, he thought of something else when he looked at Dutch.
“What happened to the thing I asked you to do?”
Dutch looked at Romina; he finally spoke up after seeing Harvey nod.
“I got my men to look for leads like you asked, Sir York. According to what I have, Mandy Zimmer got here in a private jet. She was fetched by a mysterious car after that.”
Harvey frowned. “A mysterious car? There’s something like that in a place like this?”
Dutch sighed.
“There’s something you don’t know, Sir York. With my authority, I wouldn’t be able to get involved with the Border Force. That’s exactly where I suspect the car was from.”
Harvey thought about the situation for a moment. “Why did she go there in the first place?”
“There’s one possibility.”
Dutch pulled out a stack of documents, putting them in front of Harvey.
Harvey looked at the documents, and saw pictures of a woman in uniform; she had short and lean hair, tanned skin, and a beautiful face that resembled Mandy.
“The lady of the Jean family’s direct lineage… Hannah Jean?”
“She’s no ordinary person,” Dutch lamented. “She was transferred to the Border Force from Mordu two months ago. She’s also one of the four commanders now.
“A lot of soldiers were unhappy about her transfer at first… but in just a single month, nobody dared to oppose her.”
“Is she that scary in a fight?” Harvey asked. He was curious.
“It’s not that; nobody knows how good of a fighter she actually is,” Dutch said, sighing.
“That’s the most terrifying thing about her. She managed to conquer everyone there just by using her words…”
