Under everyone’s shocked gaze, Harvey York strode out of the police station.
Nobody would dare say a word since Dutch Cobb was also beside him.
Freddie Robbins and the other inspectors kneeled on the mud outside the entrance.
Rae Higgs hesitated. She wanted to kneel, but her remaining dignity would not allow her to do such a thing.
Then again, Harvey did not mind anyway. He did not want to be too ruthless, for Harlan Higgs’ sake.
He sat in Dutch’s Land Rover before smiling faintly at Judith Pedler. The car drove off soon after.
“What? What’s going on here?
“Why does the director of the police station take that bastard away?
“How come I don’t know about his background?”
Whitley Cobb was shivering in anger. She came all the way here to crush the filth of a man.
And yet, what had happened?
What was going on?
Harlan was pleased.
On the other hand, Billie Higgs was showing utter pride and disdain.
“Did you forget about the old hag he’s being kept by, Mom?
“The four great tribes are united!
“The director has no choice but to grab Harvey out of here after getting the Surrey family’s call!”
Asher Klein seemed to calm down after hearing those words.
“Even the Surrey family wouldn’t be able to keep him safe with that big of a crime…” he said with a smile.
“Unless…”
“It’s not the Surrey family.
Rae Higgs finally spoke, her forehead covered in cold sweat.
“It’s him.
“He called Director Dutch personally.
“And he showed up in just ten minutes!”
“What?!”
Everyone shuddered after hearing those words.
Billie was utterly distraught, looking at the Land Rover driving away.
‘What kind of power does he even possess…?
‘He summoned Director Dutch with just a single phone call?’
Then, Billie looked at her father.
“What kind of identity does he have, Dad?”
Harlan gave a bitter chuckle.
“I don’t know! My good friend told me he belonged to a big family previously…
“But he was a castaway!
“I didn’t know his son was that impressive too!”
‘Perhaps he’s actually from the outskirts’ York family!’
Everyone looked at each other. In the outskirts, people with that surname and that much power could only be from the highly discreet York family.
It was said the family was a branch of one of the country’s ancient families.
They were wealthy and powerful.
Even after fighting the Wolven Tribe along with the four great tribes for many years, they had remained standing.
The three great temples also had no choice but to pay their respects.
Everything would make perfect sense if Harvey belonged to that family.
Whitley looked strange.
“Aren’t you good friends with Harvey, Billie ?” she hesitantly asked.
“Maybe you should ask him if he belongs to the family!
“You also can give him a chance to pursue you if that’s the case!”
Not just Asher, but even Harlan and Billie’s expressions instantly worsened after hearing those words.
