“Of course, I believe that none of our students would do something like this.” Asher smiled faintly. “No doubt about that.”
He then stopped right next to Harlan and Whitley, and began to speak to them with great respect.
“Hello, sir, ma’am. I heard that you two and Harvey go way back. It’s a shame! I was in the tower too, but I couldn’t stop this from happening either.”
Asher deeply looked into Billie’s eyes.
“I didn’t do enough for him.”
“What are you saying, Young Master Asher? What happens to Harvey has nothing to do with you!” Whitley quickly said.
“That bastard has been staying in a big city for way too long! He believes that everyone is equal. He doesn’t understand just how different everyone is from each other!
“He’ll suffer a horrible death for going against Mr. Stefan! Not just that, he’ll drag the entire Higgs family to the ground with him too…”
Billie frowned after hearing her mother’s words. “Enough, Mom.”
“Enough? Can’t we even talk about what Harvey did?” Disdain was written all over Whitley’s face. “I’m here to stop him from getting close to our family ever again!”
“Enough!” Harlan yelled.
He finally lashed out; he had been holding himself back for a long time.
“Young Master Asher. This has nothing to do with you. We’ll figure out a way.
“Harvey came all the way from Golden Sands to seek my support. No matter what happens, I’ll have to save him!”
Asher smiled.
“No need to be so hostile, Uncle. I didn’t come here to cause trouble.
“No matter the case, Harvey’s still a student of the university. I have the responsibility to bail him out of trouble.
“If you can convince Harvey to cooperate… I can guarantee that he’ll leave without a scratch on him. Nothing bad will be left on his resume.
“I’ve already heard about it before coming here.
“The police suspect that he’s the boss of the entire dizzy pill market of the outskirts. He’ll suffer once the accusations are proven to be true!
“The only way is for him to admit that he’s just a supplier. That way, he’ll get a lighter sentence even if he’s involved.
“If he snitches on the person behind all this, he might be completely fine.
“When that happens, all we need to do is to work our magic before he gets out of the situation completely unscathed.”

Harlan and Billie froze, showing utter disbelief.
Safe to say, Asher was a truly capable man. Nobody thought he’d be able to think of something like that.
After doing as he said, nobody could label Harvey as a villain, no matter how strong their background was.
Billie frowned.
“I hate Harvey too, but I don’t think he’d do that.
“He’s clearly not the boss of the dizzy pill market. He’s not even involved in the situation.
“We’d be accusing him for something he didn’t do.”
